Max Kingdom Clan Limit

I can’t seem to get any more than 21 clans in my kingdom(including me). I just get hit with the “I’m happy with my current liege” every time. Is 21 the limit? submitted by /u/Appropriate_Coach_19 [link] [comments]

The Histories of the Vaegir Peoples By Prince Tarchias (CC lore)

With the rapid expansion of power by the epochal leaders Yarograd and Saultnami, a new hegemon has arrived in calradia not seen since the likes of the old Calradic Empire. The reasons for its expansion in such a diverse land will be covered later in my Chronicles of this triumphant peoples. The focus of this work is of its organization of land, labor, and goods, using a mix of old and new systems which has brought great wealth into the tundra. The first of which is to be covered is its lands, for which its vast makeup covers almost every biome in calradia. From its beginning the ancient vaegiroving clan was from that of the snowy tundra, living in an inhospitable land lacking in that of arable farmland. These origins bred a rugged people born into clawing an existence from other means, but by that of wares and war. The vaegir heartlands contain a wealth of natural resources: from Iron, Furs, and metals it gave rise to an economy much different that of the western kingdoms of calradia.

Carnage of Kings - CC #47

Renaud King Renaud of the Kingdom of Swadia had been born into war. He was there at the fall of Uxkhal. He bore witness to the late Delinard's final stand. Loyally he served King Harlaus until his abdication. Now the greatest army Calradia had ever seen marched against him. King Renaud's followers were young. They were the brave and bold that had come to die for their country. The veterans of the war had long since passed and those that now carried the torch were ignorant of their own history. Still King Renaud had hope. News had reached him in the south that the new King of the Rhodoks had resisted the alliance of Sand and Snow. And in the west the Khanate stirred eager to install a new Khan to lead them into glorious victory. From the ashes of defeat and desolation hope stirred. King Renaud stood before his force of Swadian patriots. He would not falter. Together they would march. Together they would avenge the fallen. Sault Dhirim had not been enough. Uxkhal had not be

How much of a boost does marriage give to extended family?

I'm looking to set myself up to attract good lords when I set up my own kingdom. I'm pretty tight with a few families, not all in my faction. But the lady I'm closest to marriage with has a brother and a father with good character and good renown. Versus another family with a brother, father, uncle, and some cousins all with high renown and mostly good character or martial. How much of a boost do you get with the extended family? And if they're already low tier welcoming how much does it matter? Submitted November 30, 2019 at 05:39AM by Flopsey https://ift.tt/2Y0d3Fi

200 hours in and no dub

I’ve put over 200 hours into Warband so far (probably around 50 in my current campaign) and I have yet to beat the game. Still having a great time, I’m the Marshal of the Sarranid Sultanate and am the lord of 4 castles and 5 villages. Despite the fun I’m having, I would like to beat the game. Marriage made difficult

I'm at day 500 and decided to marry. The girl likes me, the father likes me, I get the quest for marriage. But because Calradia is pretty unstable and more than 5 Lords are accused being traitors every day. So after some days the father joines another faction, the marriage fails and I start from beginning. Seeking the father, asking for marriage, waiting. Can I speed the time up so this finally works? (PoP) Hostile Knighthood Orders -- Reconciliation?

So... A little while back, I manipulated many of the lords of Ravenstern into assisting me with sieging and capturing Javiksholm. Because it was totally my idea to even bother going after a city, everyone was cool with King Gregory awarding me the city. I pioneered the notion of capturing territory during war. No one in Pendor had even conceived of it until I came along! I previously posted about wanting to trade Javiksholm for Senderfall because Senderfall is much safer, and closer to friendly territory, and was apparently more wealthy... But I decided instead to keep Javiksholm and continue developing it. Also, I eventually want to break away from Ravenstern, and having territory that's not right on Ravenstern's front porch is probably a good idea. One of the perks of Javiksholm was that it was home to an order hall of the Valkyries. I joined the Valkyries and did many missions for them (including the annoying one where I had to get 190 renown in like 20 days or something

I have a really good relationship with King Ragnar (56) to the point where hes just throwing cities at me. I now have four cities as my fiefs (Veluca, Tihr, Khudan, Halmar). I have around 900 renown, a good amount of right to rule. My army is all elites (Huscarls, Rhodok Sharpshooters, Swadian Knights). How do I defend a town?

I'm playing Pendor if it matters. It's day 220 ish and after convincing a couple friendly lords to accompany me we took Ethos for Sarleon. However they didn't leave any garrison and ran away screaming at the first sight of besiegers. Both Bacchus and D'Shar are attacking and I can't beat them both alone. The deserteurs are evolving

Last week as I decided to leave the Rhodoks for the Sarranids I went through the (former) Vaegirian territory to hunt some Khergits or sea raiders as I saw a troop of deserteurs but it wasn't 20, 30 or even 50 units. This troop had 121 units and they had Nord warriors, Khergit horse archers, rhodok and swadia crossbow units! They managed to kill some of my rhodok sharpshooters and rhodok sergeants! What the hell? How did that troop become so big?! Submitted November 27, 2019 at 12:33PM by ShinjiIkari99 https://ift.tt/2KZFJZY

A breif opinion on the Rhodoks.

So, I've been playing the game for a while now and I absolutely love it. I've gone for the Nords, because you cant have a Thor Odinson without some Nordic people am I right? So I managed to capture a castle and got myself the fief of Ibran. And I swear to Odin himself the Rhodoks are less of a threat and more of an annoyance. They seem to have a personal grudge against me or something, I guess turning their crossbowmen into shish kebabs really pissed them off as they only attempt besieging my castle and only raid my village. They're at war with every faction in the game at the moment but they only want to mess up my stuff. However every time they fight the Lord of Thunder they always end up loosing because there's only so much a crossbow can do to mounted calvary. And keeping their Counts in my prison a rocks throw away from their boundary line also upsets them greatly as I always win every battle. I could go into battle with my 76 man strong army and their 145 man str

Three Kingdoms mod (Interest Check)

Hello everyone, I am in the process of doing a bunch of research and prep for a mod set during the Three Kingdoms period in China. My aim is to be "Historically Accurate/Plausible up to and until the introduction of the player". I don't have anything to show at the moment, but I'm competent with the Mod System and have made a mod before (see my hardcore combat submod for The Sword and the Axe), so this won't just be an idea thread that never gets off the ground. I figured I'd post here to let folks know and generate some discussion. Specifically I have a question that I hope to get some feedback on: What year should the mod be set at? Currently I'm debating between 191 and 208 AD. As for why, 208 AD is when Chi Bi occurred, and is probably the most ideal place that could be described as the "start" of the Three Kingdoms proper. But yet I like 191 AD because of the amount of factions that can be implemented, and there are interesting indi

RHODOK V. SARRANID BATTLES SUCK SO MUCH

I'm playing as the slow ass rhodoks because they're the best, and ofc we go to war with the sarranids. So I go into a evenly matched battle and tell my dudes to go up a hill in the corner of the map. They backstep their way over and things look like they're going well for once. The cavalry has no clue what to do since they can't flank my crossbows, so they just stand against the border of the map. If we just keep this up, they'll stand no chance! Right as I was feeling euphoric about my superior army composition, my dumbass infantry decides to charge their front line because an archer spit in their direction. I watch as my infantry leave my squishy crossbowman to die. Within seconds those fucking tank-like mamlukes decimate my sharpshooters, and skewer my braindead spearmen shortly after. I DON'T WANT TO JUST HAVE ANOTHER ARMY OF SWADIAN KNIGHTS! I WANT TO TRY OTHER FACTIONS, BUT SHIT LIKE THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS! WHY CAN'T SPEARMEN JUST STAB A HORSE? Submi

I have a few complaints about bannerlord after playing the beta for a couple weeks

First of all, Im happy of the overall state the game is in now. It runs well, looks great and sounds really nice. But theres a few things that Im pretty worried about. the mounted combat feels pretty awkward. Using of polearms feel really weird from horse back. The weapons look like they have way longer reach than they actually do. This has led to countless missed thrusts from under and overhead. (this could also be because how accustomed Im with warbands mounted combat) ranged units are really op in my opinnion. Im expecting that in the single player you dont need anything else except just an army full of peasant archers and you will win every battle. -units with shields dont always protect themselves from ranged attacks. This forces you to babysit them and put them in shield formation. -crossbowmen with shields dont even bother to turn around to reload so that the shields would protect them. Idea for new unit progression system.

Is there a way to chane the unit progression system into a more realistic one? What bothers me for the current one is that you are paying an npc 10 denars a week and after a week they get into the new level. So they have 10 denars saved and they get 500 denars on gear for the progression. So my idea is, every soldier you recruit levels up while fighting and you create groups that make the units level in one way or another. Like infantry specs on athletics and cavalry on riding. Also every group has access to a gear chest where they pick their gear from. And also depending on the units level and skill they are put in another group. Also all the gear they have is either looted or put by you for them to use. For one heavy infantry to have a mail coif you have to put it in the heavy inf gear chest, and also you could buy stacks of gear to a vendor to update your units, for example ''Buy 10 mail coifs for 4k'' and then take the stack and put it the heavy inf chest. TLDR:

A feature I'd love: "Save Travel Target"

You know what would be just delightful? A way to save a target to travel towards so that if you're moving towards a town on the other side of the map and decide to take a de-tour (say to fight bandits) you wouldn't have to find the target again and click on it but just press a hotkey. Especially useful if you have to travel near som obscure village. Submitted November 21, 2019 at 01:32PM by ValleDaFighta https://ift.tt/34asltt

Swadian no cav challenge.

So now that I've got atleast some expertise on ?M&B, I was thinking about giving myself a challenge. So I lay down on my bed and think to myself: "what would make the game harder to play without". And then an idea popped up: Cavalry. So I picked the candidates: Now, nords and rhodoks are out of the picture since they don't have cav. The ENTIRE war culture of the Khergits revolves around the Calvary. And so I'm left with Vaegirs and Swadians, I decided to go with Swadians first since their cav is so important. And yeah, now I'm on my first month, though I have to express the surreal feeling of upgrading footmen into infantry instead of Man at arms. I just got into the beta the other day and as been playing quite a bit. Everything is a bit different from Warband, the biggest being how the horses work and feel. crossbowmen too good?

since i got accepted into the beta yesterday, i of course, played a lot of it, mostly in captain mode. however i noticed that crossbowmen seem to work a thousand times better than everything else. they were able to decimate armies from across the map, or point blank, regardless of it being a line of archers or a cavalry charge, all with little to no casualties. (seriously, in the span of two rounds i had 60 kills with 2 deaths, and did the same thing the next match) perhaps they need a nerf? i was thinking an even slower firing speed, and maybe less range Submitted November 20, 2019 at 08:56AM by duuf https://ift.tt/3369VZr

Is it feasible to go straight from unaligned warband to independent kingdom without serving under a king?

I want to attempt to forego the part of the game where I'm working as a lord for this or that king, hoping to be granted fiefs and whatnot because this approach results in me having a kingdom that is the M&B equivalent of bordergore. I'm hoping instead to capture a town from a faction when they're in a relatively weak position so that I might build a kingdom to my own preferred geographical liking (I.e. compact and in a corner). I'm hoping for tips on what I'll need to achieve this feat. How will I need to approach finding a wife since I usually court a woman in the kingdom for whom I'm working? Should I snag a town or a castle first? Will I need to have a dyeworks in 10+ towns in order to have the income to finance a band of warriors strong enough to hold the town once I take it ( I assume I'll need to roll in with 75-100 top tier troops and fight like crazy for a while to hold the town once I take it). Any tips would be great! Submitted Novem

Updated Mod Information: The Realms of Fire and Blood

The Realms of Fire and Blood is a mod for Mount & Blade: Warband based on the universe created by the American Fantasy novelist George R. R. Martin , best known for the novel series, " A Song of Ice and Fire. "  The mod is largely based on the novel, " The World of Ice and Fire " and a very small portion of the novel, " Fire and Blood ", both by George R. R. Martin. Set long before the time of the epic Game of Thrones, 4,699 years before the time when the Valyrian Dragonlord Aegon Targaryen took the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros and became King of the Iron Throne. This is set during the Age of Valyria. The Fifth Giscari War had just ended in Essos, and 2,000 years ago, the Andals fearing that Andalos may be the next conquered city by the Valyrian's and their dragons, as well as the slavery that would have followed... The Andals fled Essos and landed in the Vale in Westeros. Many Kingdoms are fighting them, as well as fighting among themselves.

I've been away for maybe a month. Any updates on Bannerlord?

I know that it's going Early Access in March, and that there's a lot of smacking multiplayer beta-testing going on (part of the reason I wasn't on the sub for a while was because I just can't seem to get a beta key, and I'm envious of all you fine butterlords that did). Prophesy of Pendor Victory Condition Question

I'm pretty far into the endgame on my first play through of Pendor and I noticed something that may or may not be a major issue. I have allied myself with the D'Shar and we have conquered almost the entire map. During my game, Kadan Bahadur Khan employed Burilgi the Usurper. Burilgi has gone on to amass an army of 8000+ troops. This is not a typo. HE HAS OVER EIGHT THOUSAND TROOPS. This has made conquering the map extremely easy for me. He follows Kadan around and we easily conquer every single fief that we want, whenever we want. I want to end my first run with the D'Shar as victors, but here's the issue. On the victory progress screen, it lists Burilgi as an outstanding army that is NOT asterisked. Does this mean that I have to somehow destroy his entire army even though he is allied/employed by the same faction that I am allied with? If so, then I might as well scrap this save and start over now. There is no way I can take that dude on. Submitted November 18

I want to go through Pendor this time without losing too much units (both in siege and field battles) and beat the game. My plan is to overthrow Harlus and take Praven for myself since Harlus (in this timeline) can't keep his men that loyal. Any advice? In case anyone wants to know what faction troops I use: Swadian inf and calv and Rodhok sharpshooters Submitted November 11, 2019 at 05:15AM by Kaizhur262 https://ift.tt/33zCPlS

Fuck you Harlaus

This little butterloving bitch sends me on a campaign to capture a city while holding a feast in a castle next to our besieged capital and all he does afterwards IS DECLARE WAR ON ANOTHER FACTION AHHHHH Submitted November 10, 2019 at 08:39AM by Pyrohectical https://ift.tt/2K6MjgE

I don't know why, but I found the "Blee!" sound in Napoleonic Wars funny for some reason.

It just sounds funny to me. I know it might be a legitimiate Russian word for "Fire!", but still. Does anyone else feels the same? If anyone is wondering how to do it: Press F3-F2 as a Russian troop in any Napoleonic Wars server. First time, it might not be "Blee!", but it guaranteed it gonna be "Blee!" second time. The people in the beta

So I got invited to the Bannerlord beta the other day, which I am very happy about! Tried out an infantry unit, was fun. Wanted to test how horses feel cause I'm a big mounted guy in M&B, was repeated called gay and attacked by both teammates and the opponents for riding a horse? Thought whatever, tried out an archer - Also called gay and targetted by everybody. What's with the prejudice? Ain't we here to test the stuff in the beta, not just play the game? :o Submitted November 08, 2019 at 08:34AM by thekekkles https://ift.tt/2NVYqht

The "train the peasants" mission is actually cruel

You "train" them, then get into a fight with the bandits where the peasants are just meat shields that get mowed down by the dozens while you and your warband clean up. Then you tell the peasants that they are capable of defending themselves even though you did all the actual work and go off on your merry way, leaving behind a bunch of nobodies who think they're tough stuff. The next group of bandits who harass them are going to be such a tragic wake up call. Submitted November 05, 2019 at 08:08PM by Sir_Illic https://ift.tt/33nllJb

What are the best combination of troops from different Kingdoms?

If we put a 200 unit cap, what are the best combination of troops in your army from different Kingdoms to be well balanced enough to beat castles, cities and land battles? I mean Swadians has Swadian Knights as cavalry and Nords has Nord Huscarls the best infantry and Khergit or Vaegirs has the best range infantry/range cavalry. So we put about 50 Swadian Knights and 100 Huscarls and 50 (what type?) of range infantries. Would it be easy to go against Kings in land battles or sieging of a city? I would really like to know opinions from the pros to build the best well balanced army in MnB Warband. Submitted November 05, 2019 at 10:59AM by rederox https://ift.tt/34CyPAT

What determines the lords of a faction (non-player) to defect early in the game?

I really like it when the lord of a faction defects and we get such gems as a Rhodok Wercheg, a Nord Bariyye, or whatever else. So I was wondering if there's a way to motivate lords to do it, either through modding the mod_sys, or through in-game actions. Any ideas? Dumb question.

Have seen people talking about the mods they use. Some people make out they use multiple mods at once. I've always understood it to be you subscribe to a mod in workshop (steam) then select what kind of mod to use before playing. Can you add mods together somehow? The performance of the beta has increased alot! i get 200 fps now. and stable!

I put away the game because it was running like shit and so sluggish. I had it running at 90 fps but it was dropping and s tuttering alot and the frames were tanking for no apparent reason. Just hopped on and when i set the graphics to 'low' i had 200 fps stable. In the beginning it was a little bit chunky but after 20 sec perfect stable. i have a 1070 ti @ 2000Mhz and a 2600x amd @ 4150 MHz. Kenshi Warband module

Just Putting an Idea in your Heads. Wouldnt a Kenshi Module for Warband be awesome? I mean basically all troops are there, the troop strength is scaling, the Factions are Set, there are weapons etc, the only Problem i could think of is the actually modding, texturing and maybe implementing Martial artists. I dont want to Sound like a douche so i'll Stop right Here because i dont have a clue of modding in Warband. Submitted November 04, 2019 at 12:07AM by Parsivaloknewacc https://ift.tt/36rLcBD

[Discussion] My thoughts on Bannerlord so far

So far, Bannerlord has been awesome, with a few hiccups. After watching some old Warband footage, I can see how much the AI has been updated, how smooth the combat has become, improved level design, etc. Pros: Graphics are great on Ultra, especially compared to Warband The game runs very smoothly The combat has been belt-sanded and is very fluid now The AI is much improved over Warband Horse movement is leaps and bounds better than Warband Archery is so much better and satisfying Level design is good Captain mode is great, Skirmish is okay, and Deathmatch is great Updated UI is much better Cons: Faction/class balancing is quite bad Hitboxes don't seem super consistent Picking up weapons is a HUGE hassle Weapon balancing is okay at best Personally, I think that the class and faction balancing is the main issue right now. I find myself getting disappointed when I get chosen for some factions (Khuzait, Sturgia) and very excited for others (Battania, Aserai). I hav

Movie Recommendation: Netflix's "The King" is essentially M&B: The Movie

Just watched The King on Netflix. I enjoyed it, and recommend it. Fans of this game will enjoy recognizing armors and battle formations inspired from the same historical sources. Even the drama felt right. I played all morning, then put the game away and watched the movie, but then had to play for another 4 hours after it ended, it inspired me so. Enjoy. CC#46 Recap - From the Ashes of a Nation

With the resumption of hostilities between the Rhodoks and Sarranids, many foretold the downfall of the Republic. The lines of supply were stretched, the defenses neglected and the army scattered. The Sarrranid fist would soon break down Jelkala once more and break the long-suffering defenders of Almerra at last. It would be reduce the free Rhodok holdings to Yalen and the scarce mountainous redoubts which previously denied foes access to the southwestern town. The remaining Rhodok lords squabbled and argued over who history would remember as the Last King of the Rhodoks. After a contentious election, Nethor was restored to the monarchy. Many doubted that his reign would outlast his previous one. Nethor was a changed man from his months of imprisonment and abuse at the hands of the Vaegirs. They say there was a fire in his eyes, determination in his chiseled features. He would never put down a weapon while there was still an enemy in the field. King Nethor took the field not on the

Medieval Conquests vs AD 1257 Enhanced Edition vs AD 1257

What is overall best? What has the most interesting features and better mid/end game? What is the most stable? Its already kinda tiring to play through the late game of Native so I really don't want a game that is just "Native, but BIIIIIIG" Alternatively I wouldn't mind a more focused mod that's still the same historic era but smaller map, like Crusades or smth Submitted November 02, 2019 at 12:09PM by WritingWithSpears https://ift.tt/2qarv0B

Where is my prize beta key?

Forgive me for my ignorance and lack of patience. I was inspired to play Bannerlord by winning the creative competition that was announced a month ago. The competition was supposed to end on October 14, and the winners were to be awarded during this time. Submitted November 02, 2019 at 03:02PM by GothVII https://ift.tt/2NDlUIp

Got One Beta Code for somebody

So I got a code in the email a couple days ago. I'm busy with college and mental health shit so I don't really have the time to pick Bannerlord up and give it the love it deserves. So pinky promise you don't already have a beta code and then comment "give code plz" and I'll do some random giveaway thing. I'll keep this up for 24 hours if anybody wants one. Edit: I’ll dm the winner on reddit. No need to drop your email Submitted November 02, 2019 at 01:25PM by soulblaza1007700 https://ift.tt/2JE5Bd5

Filmmaker mods, tools or tricks?

I have decided to start making short movies in Warband. I believe I am cabable of doing so, but I was wondering if there are any mods or tools to help with this? With this I mean creating scenarios, camera modes, having the ability to control what other lords do, scene creators/editors, or anything else helpful. These are not reguired for me to be able to record, but they would help, alot, by making the more interesting and me being able to make them much more faster.
