Max Kingdom Clan Limit

I can’t seem to get any more than 21 clans in my kingdom(including me). I just get hit with the “I’m happy with my current liege” every time. Is 21 the limit? submitted by /u/Appropriate_Coach_19 [link] [comments]

Found a wholesome email from TaleWorlds a few years back

So back when I was a wee teenager and getting into Warband, I had the bright idea to email TaleWorlds and let them know if they needed any financial help with Bannerlord LOL. The only reason why I even found this old email is because I was praying to find a beta key invite email, but was pleasantly surprised to find this old gem. My original message Their response I NEVER EVEN KNEW THEY RESPONDED BACK UP UNTIL NOW Still makes me laugh reading that last paragraph, trying to sneak into their beta back in 2013. Discussion: How do you think time will be dealt with in Bannerlord?

So they are adding children and dynasties to bannerlord. But unless they make days pass like three times as fast as they currently do, it'd take hundreds of hours for children to grow up. So obviously that will be circumvented somehow, but how? I think they will employ a time skip that allows you to radically speed up the game once you have children, similar to what was seen in the time lapse of seasons in Calradia. What do you guys think will be done? I'd go into more depth but I'm writing on a mobile device and it is a pain in the ass. Need a character/playthrough build for vanilla

I want to do a 4th playthrough on console vanilla warband and I cant think of anything interesting. [PoP] How do I start out in Pendor?

A lot of people have suggested this mod to me and I tried doing what I usually do, which is recruit peasants and fight bandits. But I don't have enough money to recruit more than 5-6 and the bandits were mounted and destroyed my peasant army. No idea what to do tbh Also should I pick the letter option on character creation? It sounds like that gives you a claim over Pendor. Does that change gameplay at all and if it does is it for better or worse? Does it make you a noble as I usually like RPing as some rando commoner who came from nothing but got to the top Submitted October 29, 2019 at 06:55PM by Cuddlyaxe https://ift.tt/2WtAWEn

I’ve been out of the loop as being an adult sometimes does for us. Was wondering if this is coming to consoles or was that a rumor?

As the title suggests, I’m just wondering if it is coming to consoles? I fell in love with Warband a few years back when it was released on the Xbox and would love to play bannerlord on the Xbox as well. Thanks! Submitted October 29, 2019 at 05:40PM by flintfireforge13 https://ift.tt/36jQYVR

An Irony in Bannerlord's Prequel Status

The most ironic thing about Bannerlord being set to take place 200 years before Warband is knowing that the beautiful United Calradian Empire you're going to build when the game comes out will have completely collapsed into pieces quickly after your death, not even managing to stay around for very long at all. Interesting to think about how it would have happened, rebellion, upstart kings, bad heir in your dynasty causing an eventual collapse? How do you offer a sword in vasselage?

So recently I've gotten the game on my PS4, and I've made a character in the single player whos got an army strong of around 34. If I go any higher I can't afford to keep them arond, and if I go lower than that I'll just end up loosing battles. So I decided to try and stop being a squabbling peasant and try to either become a mercenary or a kings second hand man. But every time I try to offer my sword in vasselage they reject me. Viking Conquest Balance Mod: Dane Axe vs Shield?

The VC Balance mod increases the damage of both axes and of javelins. The troll axe is now the Dane Axe, and does a huge amount of damage. Has anyone run a player or NPC build with the Dane Axe? The main issue I see is that it is a 2 handed only weapon that disallows the use of shields. However, the Balance mod also increases javelin damage so much that 2 throwing spear hits will take out pretty much any NPC despite heavy armor. Since almost everybody has javelins or throwing spears, with this javelin/throwing spear buff, I don't understand how a person without a shield can survive the VC Balance mod. Is it worth it to ditch the shield and be basically a glass cannon with the Dane Axe? Submitted October 27, 2019 at 10:05PM by Intranetusa https://ift.tt/344J9l4

The Last Crusade - Calradic Campaign #46

Bravery or foolishness Sultan Arthanias wondered to himself. Which of these things had driven these young men so far from home and into his court. The older of the two, a boy no more than eighteen years, held a parchment high reading aloud to the Sultan and his emirs. "The newly crowned King Nethor of the Republic demands the immediate return of Ibdeles and Jamiche," His voice cracked and it took great resolve for the Sultan to keep from laughing in the face of these demands. The Sultan's heart was heavy and his legs fought to bring him to his feet. He approached the messenger who continued to ramble on about trade policy, political obligations, and a coalition against the Vaegirs. The poor boy had not been mid sentence when Arthanias' scimitar had left its scabbard. The speech had been concluded with the thud of the boys head rolling on the floor. The Sultan turned to the remaining messenger. "Bring the boy's head back to your faux king and tell him this

Is it just me or is being a trader completely useless in Native?

I booted up native again and tried to play a wandering merchant type character. I've realized however that its basically kinda useless to actually try to be successful as a trade. I can go from one end of Calradia to the other and make maybe 200-300 denars in profit which I could have easily acquired just murdering bandits or doing basic quests. Am I doing something wrong or is trade just not worth bothering with in this game? Submitted October 27, 2019 at 06:52AM by WritingWithSpears https://ift.tt/2MR4nNr

A Calradian Chronicle (Fan Fiction)

Prologue Arken stood at the edge of the tree line. With the woods to his back, the majesty of the sprawling city lay before him. It had been years since he had last laid eyes on Praven, and in that time the monstrous metropolis had grown further still. Outside the protection of the city walls, many farms had sprung up, hoping to capitalise on the fertile soil the city had been established on. While the odd farm had grape vines and vast wheat fields, it was mostly a scattered variety of produce being grown throughout the valley. The one thing all had in common however, was a cow pen somewhere in the property. These majestic beasts were essential in the creation of the capital's number one export: Butter. Any form of cow related product was available in the city, and it had truly become a staple of every meal in one form or the other. Beyond the gated horizon in the distance, lay the city proper. Thatch and wooden roofs peaked over the stone battlements where most of the city'

Quick Right to Rule (exploit I guess)

So I found a quick way to get right to Rule, which may or may not be common knowledge. Start your empire and beat down the faction of your choice. When you find the king, ask for peace (even if you don't want it). If he declines, kick his arse. If he agrees you will be at peace and gain right to rule. However, you are given an option to formalise the peace, or blue-ball your rival by saying "on second thoughts I've reconsidered". You can do this as many times as you want to a max 99 right to rule. When you exit the convo you'll be bombarded with "[empire name here] and the Kingdom of loserville have concluded a peace treaty" messages, but unless you actually formalise it you'll still be at war and can continue wiping them from existence Edit: tested in Native. Unknown if it would work in MODS Submitted October 26, 2019 at 08:25AM by ButImJustJim https://ift.tt/2MMGDdm

Beta Easing my Fears

I'm a big single-player guy who's dabbled in multiplayer from time to time--mostly limited by horrible internet that finally got upgraded last month. Following along with the dev blogs I had grown increasingly worried about Bannerlord. Worried that it wouldn't live up to Warband. Worried that some of the decisions they've made--character death, children, skill trees--were moving the game in a direction that I didn't think was correct. I got the Beta invite today and my few hours of multiplayer have really eased my fears. I will not say that Bannerlord feels like Warband, but it feels good. It sounds amazing. That's really what impressed me most so far. Riding around, different surfaces sounding different under foot, sounds of combat drifting from around the corner. It feels so much more real, to me. I also like the changes they've made in how multiplayer functions: 6v6 skirmish maps are big enough to allow maneuvering but the flags ensure plenty of heated

I ask a lord I'm good friends with to siege a town, he agrees and heads over there, I help fight off all the lords that turn up to defend, and then I wait there for the siege to start and then after 2 days he just runs off and when I talk to him I can't ask him to siege that town again. Hi there, well I've played M&B years ago and since I've stumbled upon this game I decided to give it another run together with my gf (who usually just want to watch me playing and give hints). I forgot everything or so about this game, so I need help from you about setupping my brand new M&B Warband with a short list of mods that I'm sure exist to enhance the pure vanilla experience. I'm not looking for full overhauls (just a little interested in GoT one if it's not changing the game too much), you know just better AI or similars. And if I'm not bothering you too much, I would like some hints about where and how to start my adventure. Again, I'm about to read some guides so I just need short advices without long explanations. Yall sleeping on Brainybots

I never see it mentioned here, but this mod brainybots really breathes new life into the game. Im decent in combat because i play mp, but now the ai can trick me and kill me quite often. If they gang up i have to retreat. It can apply to every mod and makes the ai much more challenging. Even on shooting heavy mods like star wars conquest or L'Aigle the ai is much more accurate. Questions about giving companions/custom knighthood order throwing weapons

For companions and/or custom knighthood orders, is it ever worth giving troops 2 slots of throwing weapons, a shield, and a 2-hand weapon? They'll only use shield if they have ammo. I don't know how the AI works, but do they ever change weapon modes on throwing weapons? And what triggers the AI to switch from 1-handed weapons to 2-handed, assuming they have both? "THE GODS CONCEAL FROM MEN THE HAPPINESS OF DEATH..."

Finally bought Warband as people seem to be fanatic about it and I felt like I was missing out. After about an hour of play I realized one thing that might really ruin what seems to be a great game for me. I cannot die. This has really put a damper on the game for me. There are absolutely no death mechanics for the main character and really no way to actually "lose" as far as I can tell. No matter how badly I play, how many mistakes I make, given enough time I will eventually get back on my feet, raise an army, and "win". Has this not soured the experience for anyone else? P.S. Can anyone recommend any good and balanced mods for the game? Submitted October 23, 2019 at 05:07PM by AmnesiakAngel https://ift.tt/2BFCVvY

Pendor: Attacked the Snake fortress and lost all my troops, including companions! How? Why?

Those snaky bastards have a thousand troops in defence. I had to wait until I had my own kingdom before I could dare stand up to them. I gathered my six lords and 500 of my finest infantry for a total of over 1200 soldiers. We raced up the steps and forced our way into the courtyard after several minutes of intense fighting. I took out close to fifty badies before I got knocked out. The status bar showed 2/3 allies and 1/3 enemies. Got it in the bag! I left the computer to get some stuff done. When I came back, the battle was over and the snakes were victorious, not me! Damn. As I exited, it told me that some of my companions were upset. Being kicked back into the map, I saw that the snakes only had 500 units while I had considerably more. The game warned me that the snakes were sure to refill their garrison, so I figured I might as well attack again and see what happens. I got knocked out a lot sooner. When I came back to the computer, I had taken the day! Yeah, me! When I left,

In native Warband, what is the best faction to befriend early?

I recently picked up the game. Really fun stuff, but I wanted to be a basic-bitch and befriend Swadia. Thing is, they're losing from the start. What the hell can I do then? So I figure another faction to befriend first is a better idea, but I still like to have a really vanilla experience, and would like all my troops to come from one place, and become a vassal in that place. Oh, and even more vanilla, I liked Swadia cause they seemed essentially like the most vanilla/boring medieval types of units. How does dying in battle work? Can you always just run away after you die in battle?

I don't have much experience with this game. I'm a bit confused because I thought if you died in battle, you have no choice but to surrender or send your troops without you. However I've been watching a streamer play, and he died in battle and just had the option of "Leave" and just walked away. I've seen both situations happen. Does it depend on anything? How do I use twohanded swords?

I can't figure them out. First of all: My character is specialised in one-handed and shield techniques as well as the crossbow so I generally end up with the short straw if I am assigned a two handed weapon in the ring (or while having a training duel with a skilled fighter). I am completely fucked if I am assigned two handed weapons (less so with polearms sinceI can deal with those well enough) but the twohanded weapons are simply to slow. If I attack while walking back and attempt to use the range as my advantage they easily block. From close up I am too slow to strike and once they team up on my I can no longer block all strikes and I end up falling. How do I succeed in using them? Do the strikes get faster if I do put some points in my twohanded skill? Submitted October 22, 2019 at 05:58PM by Math13101991 https://ift.tt/2P6CIK9

Returning to Tihr.

Returning to Tihr was not my choice, we had already crushed the Khanate. We had drove them from their cities, scaled those castle walls and obliterated the opposing forces. Every city and stronghold fell before our armies. We were unstoppable. But our enemy found a foothold deep within our territory. Hrus Castle had been overrun. In our efforts to overreach, our weakest point became the foothold for our enemy to mount a counterstrike. The Khanate empire was in ruins before our might. Jarl Gerlad was quite pleased with my efforts in the war. I had brought much honor to my family and my name, and I became an unexpected factor in the balance of power in the world of Calradia. My past was so easy to forget; a few tournament championships, some bandit routs and raids on Sea Raider stongholds. Somehow this had attracted the attention of King Ragnar. As a guest in his home when he passively suggested I swear my fealty to him as a vassal in his feasthall, it was a difficult offer not to acc

How strong should you be before you try to conquer Calderia?

So the soon release of Bannerlord has inspired me to finally actually try World Conquest in Warband, and I'm wondering how strong I should make my character before I start? By strong I mean not just physically, but how much income and money should I have? How large an army should I be able to field? How much (if any?) right to rule should I need, and most importantly, where should I start? As of now, I have productive enterprise in about 2/3 of all the cities on the map, a treasury of about 10K, I can field an army of about 100, and I have a measly 12 right to rule. To help me get around I have allies with 7 in pathfinding and spotting, I have Jeremus with 7 in all healing skills, and another ally with 6 in engineering. I'm not trying to brag at all, because honestly all these things seem really low to me. I've love to have maybe 10 in pathfinding, and the ability to raise an army as large as Harlaus, but I don't know how long I need to grind in order to get there.

Best thighs in Calradia?

I think the Swadians probably have some nice THICC thighs, what with all their butter consumption. Rhodoks probably have muscular thighs, same with the hairy Nord women. A lot of strength in the hills, a lot of strength from the north. Vaegirs, though, that's where you get your Xenia Onatopp type dominatrix thighs that could either snap your neck or choke you out. But the best thighs in all of Calradia aren't found in the hills near Yalen. They aren't found in the tundras of the Vaegir, or the butter fields of Swadia. They're found in the steppe. The Khergits lay claim to the largest, smoothest, well-toned thighs this side of Bannerlord's release date. I don't give a damn if they're attached to mares or maidens, thighs are thighs, through and through. The Khergits don't get much love- They don't deserve much love- But they deserve recognition for their good taste. Submitted October 16, 2019 at 09:46AM by Heavens_Sword1847 https://ift.tt/2qk5yMH

My Amazoness faction in Dickplomacy ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Up close ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Troop trees - Top: Horse Archers, Bottom: Heavy Infantry Amazonia Basically thought I would want to play Dickplomacy with maximum immersion ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). I ended up coming up with the idea of making an Amazoness faction. Knowing that the troops wouldn't have any armor at all, I thought I'd give them really good shields and shield ability, kind of like naked spartans. I thought I'd want to make them based of real Amazoness warriors, which I assumed would be like female spartans. I also gave them a horse archer line, to give them a ranged option and because it looks cool. Eventually I thought that it would be a good idea to give the more elite units actual armor, but the armor is only the "Medium custom" kind for the higher level troops. Unfortunately, Dickplomacy makes the more elite units more older, so the elite units are all grannys, but its alright, it makes sense that they'd have all that experience fighting all those years. Beginner vassal story.

First playthrough, i am a vassal of Kingdom of Nords. First time besieged castle by my own. Ismirala castle. I read that as sole conqueror it's very likely that king will grant it to me, but i still worry and ask lords around who should get the fief. Everyone is telling that it should be received by someone else. I ride around like crazy and convince every lord i can that i should receive the fief. Happily accepting the fief later. Realizing that all this time i was convincing everyone that i should get some poor village in distant fucklands. Village that get raided constantly and is out of my reach most of the times. Realizing that this story happened to me already with Curaw and some another distant village and i still didn't learn to check about what fief i convince everyone to support me. Welp, being attentive is hard. I hope that other lords who wanted those villages will understand that. Submitted October 14, 2019 at 07:28AM by synchotrope https://ift.tt/2OKc

Mod Night - Whigs and Tories

Thomas awoke to the ringing of bells and shouts coming from the streets. Never in his 50 years of living in Lexington did had he experienced such excitement in the early hours of the morning. He pulled himself out of his bed hastily throwing on his boots. The window was thrown open and the morning air filled his lungs. Below he saw the lone rider responsible for all the shouting and noise. The rider rode back and forth down the street ringing a handheld bell. As he made his way back down the street Thomas could finally understand what he was screaming. "The British are coming! The British are coming!" He ran up and down the street three more times before finally heading out of the town further east. Thomas looked around and saw several other windows open with confused faces leaning out staring as the man rode off. There was suddenly a deathly silence. The silence was broke by Thomas. "Aren't we British?" Welcome to Mod Night! Mod Night is a community eve

ACOK rant

What the actual fuck is this shit mod? Full plate armor are paper too peasants. Because of their blunt clubs 2 peasants can stun lock you. While elite troops cant even penetrate your armor and rarely do damage to you. Skirmishers with throwing weapons? Lets make them op, they'll 1 hit you while wearing the best armor in game with 99 body armor. Oh did I mention that you STUMBLE every now and then in battle? Even if you're just standing still you STUMBLE AND FALL. Random event that forces you to give money, if you dont give money you lose honor. If you choose a wrong choice in a random event you can even lose stats PERMANENTLY. Archers penetrate plate armor. Like 30+ damage per hit. Imagine archers raining down on you. This is the worst mod ive ever played. Thanks for reading. Submitted October 12, 2019 at 10:10AM by ninjaderpson https://ift.tt/2B4NVm9

Co-op mod plans?

I seem to recall them saying they'd decided co-op campaigns wouldn't be a thing, which was a huge part of what I had any excitement for. My friends and I had played Warbands in tandem a lot, and that was all well and good, but being able to start kingdoms and fight together would have been amazing. So: Does anyone have plans of looking into making a co-op campaign mod? I know it's early to be asking this, but it's really all I'm looking for. Is there a way to disable Nova Aetas trait system?

Basically what the title says. After being burnt out on every other game in my steam library, i decided to come back to old warband and try this mod out. After all, people say good things about it. I started the game as an 18yo freeman and after 10 mins of gameplay (most spent kiting my first looter gang) i got a trait. Yay. Bad supplier. Why? I dunno, 5 different meals and fresh water seemed more than luxurious for 2 vaegir recruits but the game thinks otherwise. Weird but eh, whatever, continue playing. 2 minutes after, i got a 'uge screen with a ton of text about how my head hurts and bam im now senile. At 18yo. I just reloaded the game after that shit and continued. 2 minutes in and i got another equally bullshit and unprovoked trait after which i Alt-F4d and am not touching this mod again if theres no way to disable this retarded RNG system. If any of you good sires happen to know how to do that ill be very grateful. Submitted October 11, 2019 at 12:18PM by Yucky_Yak htt

Marriage in Bannerlord.

I was thinking about how your character can die in Bannerlord making it more important to get married and have a child. So if you’re just a peasant you wouldn’t be able to marry a noble so would you be able to marry random commoners? Or would you just have to rush to become a vassal so you can avoid a game over? [PSA] You can speed up transfering troops between garrisons with CRTL and SHIFT

I saw a comment on a thread earlier this week complaining that you had to spam left click to transfer troops between garrisons/battle screens, if you hold down SHIFT it transfers in 10's, if you hold down CRTL it transfers all the troops. Just thought I'd post encase people didn't realise. Submitted October 11, 2019 at 05:51AM by JunkyEli https://ift.tt/329059l

Viking Conquest (How to not make every battle a shield wall scuffle)

So I've found a method to both have fun at viking conquest while effectively killing the enemy. This guide is for those who love VC but hate just having a shield wall bash every time you meet the enemy. I usually use the Picts which don't have a fantastic set up in terms of spearmen so sometimes I'll have a bit more infantry to support. I play full damage for both AI and me. Difficulty of the fighting AI on normal (not sure if this works on harder fighting AI difficulties but I think it affects both the enemy and your men) Stamina, critical hits and armour penalties are turned on. I've used this effectively with an average caliber of men against a larger enemy (highest I have gone is 150 v 200 with 68 casualties and all of them defeated. (decent tactics tho so the battles are reasonably balanced) Army Composition Infantry (smaller than Spearmen) Spearmen (Preferrably the bulk of your army, around 2-3x the size of the infantry but this isn't necessary) Archers
