Max Kingdom Clan Limit

I can’t seem to get any more than 21 clans in my kingdom(including me). I just get hit with the “I’m happy with my current liege” every time. Is 21 the limit? submitted by /u/Appropriate_Coach_19 [link] [comments]

Dinosaur Mods?

Who thinks it would be cool if Mount and Blade got a mod with dinosaurs in it? I would love to charge into battle with me and my army all riding dinosaur mounts. There also could be dinosaur packs roaming around the map. The herbivore dinosaur herds the player could hunt and the carnivorous dinosaur packs could be hostile to any other player/npc party that comes too close. The factions could all just be different tribes of people that specialize in using different types of dinos. Anyone think a mod like this would be a good idea? Island Hopping - Calradic Campaign #39

War has engulfed Swadia from every angle. A bloody stalemate with the Rhodoks to the south, a shifting border with the Nords to the North and the inexorable march of the Vaegirs from the east. Swadia may look westward to the sea, but that frontier is now contested as well. But the Swadians have proven that they can gain ground through the water. From its encounter with the Nords, the Swadian fleet emerged battered but battle-hardened. While the Swadians were still licking their wounds, Sultan Arthanas of the Sarranids began to secretly amass a force off Swadia’s coast, designing to launch a surprise attack on the embattled kingdom. It was not until the force was nearly ready to launch that a common fisherman was able to warn King Harlaus and his court of the imminent attack. Repairs on the fleet are now happening around the clock and the garrison of Tevarin Castle is preparing to embark. It now falls them to stop the Sarranid invasion before it can begin. The Sarranids, meanwhile, mu

War, what is it good for!?

I'm so depressed and disillusioned with this life of butchery right now. I've just slathered a 400 strong army of men and women of all nations that was besieging Narra, before rushing back to repel some twat besieging Halmar with 30 recruits while I'm away. Of course, as soon as I leave Narra, someone starts burning the surrounding villages. I rush to save them but lo! now someone's burning the villages around Halmar. Back and forth, and for what?! Peshmi could be a lush green paradise of happy people... if you'd just stop burning it down, you heathens. I just want us all to live in peace and harmony... and I swear I'll drink from the skull of everyone standing in my path to achieve world peace. [Viking Conquest] Bug where every lord is in the same kingdom?

I’m about 1500 days into a VC campaign and just got a bug where every single lord on the map, even my own vassals, are fighting for the Kingdom of Mumain. I even made on of my vassals Marshall and when he called the banners and I reported to him he attacked me. Has anyone seen this before? Straight up ruined a 1500 day game with auto save on so it’s over. Submitted March 30, 2019 at 04:40PM by Arcidamus https://ift.tt/2Uk4OV3

Oh God I dont know where to start

The latest update fucked everything up. My save files got corrupted, hundreds to 1000s of hours of gameplay ruined with the update. No problem ill start again from the beggining, no "biggie". So start over, then I attacked a group of looters but guess what? Lots of lords now belong to the same faction, which the bandits belong to. Now im at war with almost all lords. The tribe of osraige or whatever that shit is called. Now I cant proceed with the story at all. Its broken, the mod is broken because of the frickin update. Sorry to vent all this here, thanks for reading. I hope they fix it soon. Submitted March 30, 2019 at 12:28PM by ninjaderpson https://ift.tt/2FKRykq

What affects the accuracy of throwing weapons?

I have been trying to make an overpowered throwing weapon in VC. The problem I had was the inaccuracy. What I did was I increased the projectile and weapon speed. This seems to have made it less accurate. Can I make them more accurate? Can I add splash damage? Submitted March 30, 2019 at 04:05AM by Fumblerful- https://ift.tt/2HRfWTE

Bannerlord Beta expectations?

They said that they are going to test the beta for multiplayer only, but thats a mistake. For me I never play multiplayer, singleplayer is the real meat, bun and lettuce and sauce of the hamburger, the multiplayer is the sesame seeds. They are making a huge mistake making the beta multiplayer only. The devs should add in some offline playable bots, or maybe a section fo the singleplayer. Focusing on only the competitive community will really tear the playerbase apart. Submitted March 29, 2019 at 09:18PM by Winter_Dancer1 https://ift.tt/2HX9PMG

Siege Psychology

I realised that when i started a new faction or when i dont have enough vassals, i usually try to take castles that easy to take. Moreover, hard settlements ,which have 450+ advanced army, makes me feel too tired to took it as if they are forbidden to be sieged. Dont be afraid like that, no matter how powerful your neighbor, just try to take nearest castles/cities ( or what you want most) . I remember i sieged samarra castle for around 10 times and took it. Dont let them chose what you will have, take the right one. All you need is a good trainer and fair mount of income and mostly a winner spirit. Attack the jelkala eventhough you may lose 20 man to kill one. Experience what is it like to be in a bloodbath and comeback stronger. Victory will be much more epic when you take it in maybe 20th siege. Be agressive and stop having 1k men + shit load of money just to protect one city. i am talking about highest difficulty-late game period. Submitted March 29, 2019 at 07:45PM by bfe

Bug in today's Viking Conquest patch (2.049)

Warning everyone that today's VC update has a gamebreaking bug that turns every party on the map into a single faction: https://steamcommunity.com/app/48700/discussions/6/1290691308576778063/?ctp=157#c1768133742959897025 I'd suggest preventing Steam/Gog from updating if you can until it is sorted out. I am sure the VC developers are working on fixing it, but there could be delays in pushing another patch out, especially with today being Friday. If you use any of the large VC mods (Dark Age, Balance Mod) this shouldn't affect you, as long as you reinstall the mod (automatic updates overwrite mods). Installing the current versions of those mods will for the most part roll you back to 2.044, the prior version. Submitted March 29, 2019 at 05:46PM by VoicesAncientChina https://ift.tt/2TJTxcv

Anyone else interested in a “classic” mod for Bannerlord

One thing that I like about Bannerlord is that it had a wide variety of factions, units, etc. it’s a brand new map with brand new features and a new, great experience. However, I’d also love to see the old Calradia map with our boys Graveth and Harlaus buttering it up again in some fresh new digs. Had I any skill, when I turn 74 when the game comes out, I’d get straight to work on this Submitted March 28, 2019 at 03:15PM by zillamaster55 https://ift.tt/2YyNNFW

Features of this game you didn't know about for way too long?

Since MB is not the greatest at explaining mechanics most of us had to find out things for ourselves. When I first started I didn't have internet so I couldn't look anything up, it was very frustrating. For example I had real trouble keeping my morale up because I didn't know I shouldn't have as large band as I possibly can. I saw recently some people saying they didn't know that hitting backspace in battle brings up various orders and a minimap. Did you miss any features or mechanics of the game? When is the last time anyone played the original Mount and Blade?

I got it and warband as a package deal years ago on steam, and spent maybe an hour or two before switching to warband. Never bothered to go back, even after like 1200 hours. Is there anything fun or amusing to be had in the original game that isn’t in warband? Submitted March 27, 2019 at 04:25PM by Peacehammer24k https://ift.tt/2OwUqUS

who should I fight?

Good day, I have an issue as to who i should attack or should i attack neither. im almost a 1000 days into the game. my renoun is 1750, honor 245 and i can carry 149 troops to battle. I have 4 towns, Praven, uxkhal, Veluca, and Yalen. i have 7 castles, Ergellon, vyincourd, Culmar, Etrosq, Ryibelet, Harringoth, and Tevarin. Castles have 200 elite troops and the citys have 450 to 650 elite troops. My bank account has 450,000 crowns. I have 5 vassels with 350 to 450 elite troops (costly but they are beast). All lords are in their native countrys and have all the castles ie. swadian and rhodock. The problem... The Nords are the largest faction and just declared war on Swadia which owns Suno.. I want that. but should i attack the Nords and slow them down or declare war on Swadia and take Suno. This would leave them with only 2 castles in the north. Also, this is my third playthrough and i am wanting to make my kingdom, hold out and watch the politics and wars. (vanilla Warband, no mods).

[Perisno] Having troubles with my faction's strength

Hello Came back to M&B recently to try out Perisno and it has been pretty good. I'm at a decent spot right now, decided to join Reich des Drachen (because Princess Brigitt, i know). I'm trying really hard to win them some lands but it just doesn't happen. Right now my army strength is about 3200, and the vast majority of enemy armies sit between 1500 to 3500 (unless they just got into fights). But my faction ? They run around with 400-900 strength armies, the best i saw was 1800. So as soon as they get all motivated to do some conquering and all, they just sit there and watch the enemy parties because obviously they don't have the strength. I'm literally the only reason they don't lose every land they own and even win some (to lose it again immediately). We lost two major cities early on when Zann went crazy and conquered half of the northern country, but we also won 2 others (Sut and i don't remember) also "we" annihilated the Sut Giants

Are there similar alternatives?

Greetings. Since it‘s almost harvesting season I wonder, if there is a game similar to MB Warband, yet with a much bigger focus to diplomacy and maybe some (court-)intrigue. Any tipps very much apprechiated! Have a nice day :) Submitted March 27, 2019 at 07:58AM by Brozmead https://ift.tt/2WtMbf4

Just found an amazing little trick for late game siege defense

Often in late game, two of your towns are being besieged at the same time. So you must quickly defend one and leave to help the other. But in vanilla Warband, the maximum number of reinforcement waves the attacker gets in a siege, is just 5. This means that you can only kill ~300 enemies in a single siege defense (out of the total 1500-2000), then they retreat and regroup for a few days - while the siege still continues. You lose time because of this and inevitably lose the other town. So I just found out that, when you've killed all the enemies in the first siege defense, if you immediately press Tab and retreat ( before the message "Battle won! Press Tab to leave..." comes up - this is important), another battle will be forced right away. So you get to kill another 300 enemies, and then can retreat again and get yet another forced battle - until you've wiped out so many that they actually run away from your town and not simply wait and regroup. Which allows you

The Rise and Fall of Beardehof Welgon: The Bandit who founded a nation

Inspired by a campaign I recently just finished. Chapter 1: Humble Beginnings Welgon's tales begin February 12, 1224, when a group of Swadians decided to travel into the barren lands of the Kherigit Khanate to become bandits. They rode into a town, and occupied it for a short time. During this time, the leader of the bandits, formerly a noble, had an affair with a Kherigit woman, who was the wife of a farmer. Shortly afterwards, Kherigit soldiers rode in and killed the bandits. However, the woman remained, and was pregnant with his child. Exactly nine months later, on November 12th, 1224, a little baby boy was born. This boy, raised by the single mother, was named Beardehof Welgon Chapter 2: Growing up Growing up, Welgon had trouble with the other children. His origins were well known, and he was never accepted as truly one of them. He would frequently be bullied and assaulted by other children, and some full grown adults joined in one more than one occasion. Tired of the cons

[Gekokujo] Damage to PC seems way too high, is it a bug?

I'm playing Gekokujo Daimyo Edition with the PC damage setting set to 'normal'. However, it's basically impossible for me to fight in a tournament or arena, or even to fight in a battle having decent armor, since I get one-shot way too often. In tournaments, I deal around 20-30 damage per hit and often find myself taking ~60. Those don't seem to be headshots, just ordinary polearm hits. I don't like the idea of 'cheating' or making the game unfair by reducing the amount of damage the PC takes to half, but I'm really confused as to why the damage the PC (and ONLY the PC, since other characters take perfectly normal damage) takes is so high. And since Ironflesh no longer reduces the damage you take by 1, I don't see why the damage I take, even from practice weapons in tournaments and arena, is so high. Monk Rebels often oneshot me with their naginatas as well through Honda Tadakatsu armor, that gives me +52 body armor. What gives? Is my ga

March 23. The day I left my home forever to the land of Calradia. That cesspool of warring kingdoms, ruins of a fallen empire, backstabbing thieves, thieving despots, gluttonous kings, rancid butter... And a land full of opportunity, wonder, good friends, and fresh butter. I’ve only had this game for a small while, and been on this subreddit for a shorter time than that, but I just want to thank you all for welcoming me and making me feel like I’m wanted, and that what I say is heard and matters. I require mods with chariots

Own a chariot for home defense, since that's what the pharaos intended. Four looters break into my house. "By Anubis?" As I grab my gilded shield and 3 meter lance. Charge with the furiosity of a bull through the first invader, he's dead on the spot. Aim my lance at the second man, fail to deliver a final blow because it splintered and blinded the neighbors dog. I have to resort to the ballista mounted at the top of my chariot loaded with a sharp bolt, "بعيدا معك المتسول الخسيس" the bolt pierces through the first man and nails the second attacker to the wall. Round up my horses and charge at the last guy. He Bleeds out waiting on the police to arrive since triangular horseshoe wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as the pharaos intended. The "number explained" system revealed in the new devblog is a god-sent

I know people's been like "something something joke when" but this is the first "toolkit" blog that got me very excited. Those of you who are familiar with sandbox games know the importance of in-game documentations. Why can't I do this? Why is the option grey? A lot of the in-game mechanics in warband aren't explained in the game. If anything, we only get to know the fricking ctrl+space or the horse-in-your-inventory thingy from the community. Not to mention something like getting -2 relationship with a lady upon confession which could easily lead players into making the wrong conclusion (personality or charisma to be blamed). There are good and bad examples of in-game documentation; there's CK2 for instance and there's X3 in which you literally have an option to enable logging which writes an external TXT log that shows you what your automated ships are doing. With the new "number explained" system I can't wait for modder

Democracy in Bannerlord.

We know that the politics side of the game will be greatly improved in bannerlord, one of these improvements is the introduction of a senate (in the north empire) and a council of commons both of which can be added to a kingdom that the player rules. Do you think this means that there potentially could be democratic republics in bannerlord? Also how do you think the senate and council of commons will work in game, like will your decisions anger the senate, damaging your relationship with it in the same way you can damage it with a noble? I have been wondering: - if you increase combat and campaign AI in the options, does it only affect the enemies or your allies as well? Becuase while playing pendor today, i just witnessed a ravenstern lord with 160-ish men get wiped by a sarleon lord with 170-ish. close, right? nope, the sarleon lost about 10 men. -in siges, i find that once my men charge, the archers start to go into the melee instead of supporting from the back. I can only tell them to advance 10 paces, follow me etc. Is there a way to get them INSIDE the walls and then support fire? -In open field battles, my allies sometimes leave my men to charge and die. any way to fix this, or should i just stay back, let the ally get raped, then clean up? The Banner Argument, or another reason why Arwa deserves the Sarranid throne

This is an argument regarding the symbolism of the banners of Arwa, Hakim, Arwa's late husband Baybak and the Sultan before Arwa and Hakim, Ayzar. Important points are highlighted in bold and there is a TL;DR at the end. Now, to start off with, here's a reminder of who we are talking about exactly. Meet Arwa the Pearled One , claimant to the throne of the Sarranid Sultanate, former slave, the adopted daughter of Sultan Ayzar , for a time the wife of Emir Baybak and the Mother of the Realm, and now an exile searching for ways to reclaim her former position - and the best waifu in warband. Arwa was purchased as a slave by the Sultan, who was impressed by her intelligence and loved her like a daughter, eventually permitting her to manage his realm . Upon his death, she took the Sultan's position to prevent the Sultanate from devolving into civil war on the condition that she marry the country's Marshall, Baybak. Arwa was recognized as " Mother of the Realm "

"Winning" the game is a bit disappointing, but still an accomplishment.

I've been playing Warband on my Xbox for some time now, and I just "won." There are no other factions. My kingdom owns everything. It feels weird. What do I do now? Nothing is happening. Life just goes on. There was a screen that said my kingdom was the sole kingdom left, and I was now the ruler of all the lands, but it goes on. Am I missing something? The Xbox version has plenty of issues, so maybe it's a glitch? Or is that just what happens when you win? Regardless, this game is easily one of the best games I've ever played in my entire life. I've sunk so many hours into and had so much fun. Even if there is nothing after this point, I'll take a break, start a new profile, and try to win with a different strategy. I'll definitely need a break though. Big thanks to the developers. Literally one of the greatest games of all time. So much frustration, so much joy. I can't say enough how good of a time I've had playing this, and will proba

21st Birthday Today

I remember playing M&B: Warband for the first time in Middle School. Now im in my second year of University STILL enjoying this masterpiece. Even though Bannerlord is quite overdue, I still can only thank Taleworlds for all that they have done. I trust that they are making all the right decisions. Also got to give major props to the mod creators that represent our community - Saxondragon & PoP Team, Brytenwalda Team, Aruda - Gekokujo & Calradia 1417, Produno - AWOIAF... you guys have certainly gifted us with the virtue of patience in preparation for Bannerlord. I would absolutely be honored to deliver a heard of cattle to you guys through the heart of enemy territory. Anything for you renowned Lords. Its almost harvesting season ladies and gentleman... May you all be blessed! Submitted March 17, 2019 at 08:02AM by PatTheWraith https://ift.tt/2TGd7eu

Would you butterlords recommend "With Fire and Sword"? (further info inside)

Hi everyone, I'm a long time player of Warband and lover of anything historical. I just started to look deep into the period of the Deluge and modern Poland and that whole time frame, and I got curious about trying this dlc. My main questions are: How's this game storyline? Is it fantasy in a historical context (Viking Conquest)? I read in reviews that the aiming mechanics are pretty bad, is this true? Are there any mods or tweaks that exist for this dlc? Would you recommend any? Did it teach you anything about those historical events? Finally, did you enjoy it? Was it a fun experience? What are some things you did not enjoy? Thank you all in advance for any answers! Submitted March 17, 2019 at 10:18AM by Colosso95 https://ift.tt/2F8FVlJ

Bannerlord When

Are we allowed to be annoyed yet? Whenever someone complains about the game's never ending development, it's always followed by a bunch of "stfu you entitled prick." So.. how 'bout now? Has it been long enough yet? Can I say I'm annoyed? Submitted March 17, 2019 at 12:56AM by Electro226 https://ift.tt/2HEtUrg

Bannerlord Sonnet 1

Shall I compare thee to a finished game? Thou art more abstract and less actual: These blogs do shake our earnest hearts, aflame For Bannerlord to become playable. In ages past the Butterlord did feast, And when did his great stores become deplete? But every lord from Pravend does decease Before this game will ever be complete: But thy eternal Humphrey shall not fade, Nor lose possession of that fair JPEG; Nor shall a Nord drink from thy skull dismayed, When for eternal time to blog thou beg. So long as men can breathe or eyes can see, Shall this development in progress be. Submitted March 15, 2019 at 01:08AM by Torneach https://ift.tt/2VW7Uf2

The Butter Cycle

This is a description of why Swadia always ends up getting split between all the major factions. If you're too lazy to read the whole thing, important points are highlighted in bold, and there's a TL;DR at the end. People complain that the Butterlord is greedy, but honestly, Harlaus giving himself all the fiefs isn't the real issue. The problem isn't that - any king can be generous if both he and his vassals like you. Granted, blokes like Count Haringoth will be unhappy no matter what he does, but Haringoth can go fuck himself. I enjoy seeing him with an Emir title, eating sand somewhere far away from the crucial castle he holds at the start of the game. The problem is the endless cycle of feasting that earned him the nickname "butterlord" (that and the Floris bug in which villages would only yield butter after being razed, long since fixed). It's out of his control and is not based on his personality - I could drop Isolla into the same situation at t

The AI is a real piece of work

Be me, lowlife merc with 50 troops. Lick butter with harlaus so he likes me. Suno falls to rhodoks. Rhodoks go away. Scout Suno, 80 garrison. Rising very slow. Go to harlaus, suggest we siege Suno, he agrees. 300+50 siege Suno. Harlaus must have aweful engineering skills, 2 and a half days later, siege hasn't started yet, critically low food supply. 50 rhodoks appear then run away. Harlaus breaks siege to chase them. 2 seconds later realises they're too fast for him, so stops chasing. Goes back to praven. A day later, makes peace with rhodoks while Suno is still 120 troops garrison. Submitted March 14, 2019 at 05:01AM by whamra https://ift.tt/2TM2cPx

I don't understand the hate for Harlus.

Every one keeps complaining that he keeps giving himself all the feifs, but whenever I play as a swad, I max out the relationship bar as a Merc, and then he gives you a ton of the things. I joined about a month ago and I now have 3 cities and 12 villages. Harlus 4 lyf Submitted March 13, 2019 at 06:42PM by Blenghis https://ift.tt/2O3dKc7

Explorer mod

Has anyone played it? What do you guys think of it so far? The concept is ingenious, the open world concept sounds phenomenal and well thought out. Submitted March 13, 2019 at 04:32PM by A-Mah https://ift.tt/2Cdq30H

[PoP] Best starts

I recently started a new round of Pendor and have been stalking elven lords waiting for an opening for about 45 days of game time; it's given me some time to think. One of the best starts I have ever had with Pendor was a year or two back. Within 60 days, both elf lords had wandered out into big Swadian or Empire armies on the move. I jumped into the battle each time and so pretty early in the game I had unlocked the elite gear for my CKO and had stolen their sword and bow. It made such a difference in my battles once I could use the weapons - and it motivated me to pump strength early to use them! I ended up being a total beast because of getting so much combat experience early, all from a few lucky battles at the start. Anyone else have experiences to share? Besides Gekokujo and the super stable Prophecy of Pendor are there any other mods worth playing on older machines?

I've tried most I think, but I was wondering if there are any I might be missing? And yes I know all the basic tips and tricks to get the most out of warband, but if you know some more obscure tricks besides load textures on demand, direct x7 and force single thread let me know. What mod(s) should I get for a second playthrough?

I played through the base game of Warband several years ago, and while it was great, after a while I got kind of bored with the pure procedural generation of the game. Different cities didn’t really feel different, and especially different lords and rulers and so forth didn’t feel distinct or have anything going for them. I conquered all of Calradia and put the game down. Over the last few days I’ve been thinking about downloading the game again and trying a modded playthrough. What would be the best mod if I’m looking for a massive overhaul of the base game and/or a more guided/structured, less pure sandbox experience? I’ve been looking at the Floris Mod but I’m not sure if that’s really what would get me hooked again since it adds tons of content but doesn’t seem to change the base feel of the game. Modding for Bannerlord info

I'm seriously looking to get into modding for Bannerlord while waiting for release. What programming language do I need to learn? I think it's safe to say I'd be at a decent level before the game comes out.. Seriously though if anyone can shed some light and give me some advice I'd appreciate it Submitted March 11, 2019 at 06:29AM by JohnnieWalker_13 https://ift.tt/2SX5nzp

Convince me to play as another faction besides the Nords

For all of my time on M&B I’ve played as the Nords, always swore my sword to king Ragnar, but now since I’ve learned how to play, I want to try another faction, and I want to see y’all try to convince me to fight for another faction. Get my lands taken from me while I’m at a feast as a swadian butterlord, or bring down the walls of Sargoth by blasting hardbass while I squat on a pile of dead Huscarls. I can’t wait to see y’alls arguments Submitted March 10, 2019 at 06:57PM by Ragnarlothbrok01 https://ift.tt/2EPMGZx

Units should have different animations and AI, depending on their tier.

For simplicity sake imagine a peasant is Tier 1(T1) and a Knight is Tier9(T9). A Peasant and Knight should fought differently, it shouldn't be just a matter of stats, so a peasant should have some animations "locked" and its AI should always be the "Poor AI" and a Knight should have "Good AI". So if possible they could have various tiers of animations and AI between T1 and T9. Its really immersion breaking for me that a peasant and a knight are essentially fighting the same. Now I know I cannot ask wonders from Taleworlds, but what I am suggesting seems within their power. But I have a felling they will think or care about this. For whatever they and most of their fanbase understand that a knight is supposed to be better than a peasant, but somehow they only think of hard stats of health and power strikes. One or two things that will make the Bannerlord better and realistic, bear with me

These are all my thoughts, not sure how you will all react but here it goes; You shouldn't be able to block every weapon with your one handed sword. For example, just like in real life, a one handed sword cannot stop a 2handed great axe that's swinging or a 2 handed Iron Mace for that matter since their weight just outmatches a mere one handed sword and their kinetic energy at a full swing is too much for a sword to actually stop them, real world physics. These type of weapons should have the same effect of a sledgehammer has in game, when used against one handed weapons. They should be able to crush blocks. (This one may actually effect the game balance very much, but nevertheless a thought) Spears in game should have a health bar similar to shields. Since their main body is made out of wood, it shouldn't really endure a hit from an axe that many times. It must break off after some time, and to counter that they should be way more fast than they are in Warband because
