Calradic Campaign #22 - Battle in the Snow

War has returned to the north once again.

/u/Smug_Alpaca has returned. After finding his kingdom in ruins because of a failed campaign in Swadia, he has ordered an attack on the longstanding enemy of his people – the Vaegirs. He hopes to claim the “Rock of Rivacheg” – a fortress that the Nords have been unable to take in the past in order to regain the honour of his crown.

u/Saultnami, the acting king of the Vaegirs, has learned of the attack through a network of spies and rallied his armies and those of his allies to defend Rivacheg. Should he be successful, the Vaegirs will rush to claim the undefended city of Wercheg.

Smug knows he needs a victory in war to legitimize this claim and is launching a naval assault in an attempt to catch the Vaegirs off guard. The Vaegirs are prepared to defend Rivacheg to the last man. Both sides expect a bloody brawl in the streets.

In Meta Terms

Welcome to the 22nd Calradic Campaign! This event will see the Vaegirs holding off an attack by the Nords. If the Nords attack is successful, they will be able to conquer and Bulugha Castle and Rivacheg. If the Vaegirs manage to hold the line, they will expand their empire with Wercheg and Alburq Castle.

This event will be running the Conquest gamemode. Here are the rules.

• There are multiple flags on the map. Each flag gives points to whichever faction holds it. More flags held means more points earned

• The first team to reach the score limit wins the round

• The event will be best of 5

• There will be no siege. The winner of conquest takes the opposing factions town and castle. Event time will remain consistent with previous entries.

/u/Saultnami will be leading the Vaegirs and /u/Smug_Alpaca will be leading the Nords. If one of them cannot attend, a marshal will be appointed.

To join the event, just join the server! There are no sign-ups required, and while it is recommended to join voice chat for bants and vague tactics, it isn't required.

The Calradic Campaign server is our own, and we run it ourselves on a donation basis as we have for over a year. We now have a Patreon that you can put in a monthy or one time amount to contribute. There are multiple reward tiers with more coming, and with a larger pool of money we can expand our community events (like Mod Night!) as well as preparing for the expected high server costs of Bannerlord (should it ever come out).
