How to deploy a part of your army?

I mean the moment I earn a new town one of its settlements go up in flames. I dont want to march 500-1000 soldiers around just to scare of or even engage a bunch of 90-100 raiders. Starting the series from the first game. I know little to nothing about the game and its main elements. Can you guys help me?

I have all three of the games. Downloading them right now. I wanna start from mount and blade and make my way to With Fire And Sword. What should I do to have the most fun out of these games? Do they have a certain story and end? Thanks in advance.

Dickplomacy Reloaded!

Hello everyone! :D I just made a mod, it's called Dickplomacy Reloaded. Basically it adds the functionality that you would find in normal mods, such as Dynamic Troop Trees, Custom Troop Trees, Freelancer, Tournament Play Enhancements, Single Screen Character Creation, and Rubiks World Map into Dickplomacy. ^-^ It also doesn't require WSE, but you still need the older (exe) version of Warband that comes with Dickplomacy. (Though I haven't tested it with the newest version of Warband so it might work.) Also, if you do decide to download it, please ignore (DO NOT USE) the "content options" folder, it is legacy, and the mod is compiled from source with all features.
