How to deploy a part of your army?

I mean the moment I earn a new town one of its settlements go up in flames. I dont want to march 500-1000 soldiers around just to scare of or even engage a bunch of 90-100 raiders. Where can I find the most up to date guide on castle management?

I've got two of the damn things and want to find out how to make them and their respective villages profitable. I seem to be finding guides and advice that suggest options that no longer exist. So far I'm upgrading everything, but that doesn't seem to be adjusting how much money the villages bring to me.

I'm trying to become financially independent so that I no longer have to resort to constant warfare for money. I thought getting a couple castles would really help that along but instead I nearly went broke and am barely hanging on.

Dickplomacy Reloaded!

Hello everyone! :D I just made a mod, it's called Dickplomacy Reloaded. Basically it adds the functionality that you would find in normal mods, such as Dynamic Troop Trees, Custom Troop Trees, Freelancer, Tournament Play Enhancements, Single Screen Character Creation, and Rubiks World Map into Dickplomacy. ^-^ It also doesn't require WSE, but you still need the older (exe) version of Warband that comes with Dickplomacy. (Though I haven't tested it with the newest version of Warband so it might work.) Also, if you do decide to download it, please ignore (DO NOT USE) the "content options" folder, it is legacy, and the mod is compiled from source with all features.
