I've been thinking about new faction archetypes that mods could include and Aztecs seem like they'd be really cool and unique. I was thinking that their units would be entirely heavy infantry with a big focus on blunt and piercing weapons as well as slings and thrown weapons, but their drawback would be their lack of good shields and generally weak padded armour.
Now, admittedly, I haven't played a huge amount of the mods out there, but the only one I have played that comes closest is the Lizardmen in Warsword, which isn't quite the same thing. I just thought I'd throw this out there and see what you all think or whether I've completely missed a mod that already includes this kind of thing.
