Need some modding tips

So after playing a couple of mod for a long time I decided to take a chance and try to create my own. So basically my mod would be a kind of historical Warband version of the warring states period in China: http://ift.tt/1eYlxDX http://ift.tt/2ixdNAV And I thus I started creating a map but I ran into a few problems I can't seem to fix on my own. I created a color map of the region of China to be used in Thorgrim's Map Editor v 0.8.5 with the original mount & blade. But I ran into a few problem. problems whose I didn't find any solution online and I was wondering if anyone had a way to fix it. The problem I was getting is in the editor itself, when importing the bmp color map of my map http://ift.tt/2z2Q3vU I was getting the wrong texture even tho I used the right color for plain and river and steppe. http://ift.tt/2itanzb As you can see the rock texture have replaced the steppe terrain, the steppe terrain have replaced the plain terrain and the plain terrain have replaced the river terrain Also as you can see the map doesn't start at the left of my BMP file and put some of the ocean on the other side of the map.
