A haze of contempt has descended on the eastern steppe.
The serene mountain passes that mark the Sarranid-Khergit border shall once again be marred by the chaos of war. Formerly a remote and mysterious place, the meeting of sand and steppe in Calradia’s southeast has in recent months become a hotbed of border conflicts and even full scale war.
Under Sultan /u/Arthanias , Sarranids have pushed themselves away from the Khergits, citing cultural differences. The Khergits, he claims, have performed reprehensible acts on horses, and possess a barbaric mindset anathema to any proper art and culture. In retaliation, /u/SanjarKhan has loudly reminded Calradia of the Sarranid murder-kidnapping of his purebred wife. Additionally, he proclaims his intention to rid the continent of those who would rub themselves sensually with sand for unhealthy lengths of time.
With the rejuvenated Rhodok kingdom threatening further eastward expansion, the Khergits and Sarranids have entered into a race to gain control of the chokepoints between their territory, and secure themselves a stronghold against foreign threats. Should the Khergit horde destroy the Sarranid garrisons, they shall secure the castles of Bardaq and Jameyyed. Likewise, if the Sarranids succeed, they will retake Sharwa from the khergits as well as capture Asugan castle. Regardless of the outcome this battle will surely determine the future of the far eastern campaign, with potential attacks into the Khergit and Sarranid heartlands.
In Meta Terms
Welcome to the 30th Calradic Campaign! This event will see the Sarranids launching a campaign to take border castles from the Khergits.
If the Sarranids succeed, they will take Asugan and Sharwa on the far eastern edge. If the Khergits win, they will take Jameyyed and Bardaq. (This will be reflected on the campaign map)
Sultan /u/Arthanias will be leading the Sarranids, and /u/SanjarKhan will be leading the Khergits. A marshal will be appointed if either cannot attend.
The event will be a best of 5 battle map followed by a best of 3 siege.
To join the event, just join the server! There are no sign-ups required, and while it is recommended to join voice chat for bants and vague tactics, it isn't required.

Becoming Involved in the Calradic Campaign
The Calradic Campaign team is always looking for new additions, whether it be scene makers, technical wizards, writers, or anything else of use.
Particularly, we are always looking for mapping talent. Don't be constrained by our regular format either, get creative - a new deathmatch map so we don’t have to use arena for 200 people, a new dueling map, a really innovative use of an underused game mode, anything!

Donating to the Calradic Campaign
The Calradic Campaign server is our own, and we run it ourselves on a donation basis as we have for over a year. We now have a Patreon that you can put in a monthly or one time amount to contribute. There are multiple reward tiers with more coming, and with a larger pool of money we can expand our community events (like Mod Night!) as well as preparing for the expected high server costs of Bannerlord.
