Is my game not updating

I’m not sure if the new update was released but I don’t think my game is updating on steam what could be the issue? submitted by /u/Terrapin9900 [link] [comments]

Fire ships in campaign but not in main game?!

In the missions for the nords, we can steer a fire ship into an enemy ship, but we cannot make our own fire ships in the actual sandbox? What a missed opportunity. So many insignificant pirate ships and trade ships that would have only been sold for the price of a few measly sacks of grain could be much more entertaining if we could blow them up if we were to have a surprise encounter with another enemy that outmatched us in manpower. A fireship would make things very interesting for the balance of power. submitted by /u/Salvificator-8311 [link] [comments]

Does the Nord faction exist as a punching bag kingdom?

I ask this cause everytime I played Bannerlord the usual happened: Khuzait Khanate, and Vlandia dominate in their ends in the maps. The middle empires fight and bicker weakening themselves for the two mentioned factions to steam roll on. Sturgia kinda becomes a tug of war between Vlandia and Khuzait between who gets their territory. Then the Aserai get made an example of. I wont even mention Battania cause we know their fate, its pretty much Braveheart levels of hopelessness. They will get assimilated by Vlandia Now after Warsails, my character is just starting out and within about 8 months into the game, the island the Nords have is already taken by Vlandia with no sign of it being taken back or the attempt to do so, and the Nords are caught between a battle of Sturgia and Khuzait that looks more like a 2 v 1 school yard bully beat down with no hope for the Nords to gain an inch. They're losing as much as they gain. Nords dont even use their boats in my game, its just ground ar...

Are Archers too accurate now?

There seems to be no point in even having horse archers anymore or even trying to attack archers on horseback yourself. I get smoked by archers in 5 seconds of being in range even when moving on horse back and with good armor. My horse archers get destroyed every time too. Has anyone else experienced this? Seems like they were overtuned. I’m turned into a pincushin every battle submitted by /u/Mtor28 [link] [comments]

Do I keep my fiefs from marriage if I rebel?

I am playing as a male in the Kingdom of Swadia. I paid the 16080 dowries to Count Klagrus for 2 cities and 2 villages, and I am waiting for the marriage to be arranged. If I rebel, do I keep those fiefs after I conquer and get rejected for another fief I request? I also heard that if you convince a lord to support you if you were to become a monarch you also get their fiefs. Can I do that if I don’t keep my fiefs from marriage? submitted by /u/TheMemeSaver [link] [comments]

Very Optimistic with TW.

At first I was Very excited for the war sails DLC. And it was amazing at first with the ships and stuff. Then I realized the nords were so weak. This most recent patch has made me pretty optimistic with TW rn. They did good work fixing up the nords so quickly along with bugs and a number of crash fixes. They listened, and quickly. I saw so so many comments saying "Let's wait 4 months for them to get buffed" and "Welp this won't be fixed in my life time, time to install mods" and i understand. But This is good shit rn. And it's getting better. I was disappointed with how pathetic nords were and replaying my campaign with 30 Huscarls and 20 Sky gods chosen is a WORLD of a difference. They are at minimum 3x more lethal on land. They are disgusting. Anyways very happy with this DLC. As someone who is incredibly stingy and waits for crazy steam sales, I think this is worth it. submitted by /u/MasterUnski [link] [comments]

Patch 1.34 - post knockout troop takeover?

Added Post-Knockout Troop Takeover. It allows you to take direct control of another troop after getting knocked out in Battle and Siege missions. You can take control of any free agent (excluding companions) with at least 25 health who is not using a machine. Fixed a bug that prevented you from picking up items on siege walls. i dont rly like this at all i mean shouldnt we be our very own character? submitted by /u/Asleep_Serve6085 [link] [comments]

I don’t think deaths of clan members effect the player enough or the relationship with their family

I was trying to get myself killed in battle since I’m nearly 60 and expect to die soon anyway. Instead my daughter ended up dying in a cavalry charge and now I feel bad. But I don’t think the death of family members or clan members has much of an effect on the player, there should be consequences both on the Player’s character and their relationship with others, and also it should effect the player far more in general perhaps influencing their reputation with other clans or their friends/enemies. submitted by /u/Asleep-Strawberry429 [link] [comments]

Problem I see with naval combat, and possible bandaid solution.

So, after watching War Sails videos all day, I can confidently say that I can see what the naval battle meta is going to be. Mass archers with a few shield units to clog up the chokepoint rope bridge. Too many melee soldiers on a boat just get in each others way, and most of them just end up standing around waiting for their turn to fight at the rope bridge. Id say, 75% archers, 25% shield units at most. Archers completely dominate every battle I've seen, it doesnt matter if they are mariner units or not. This is going to completely overshadow the Nord Faction, because they will not have any advantage in naval battles. In fact, I think they will probably be one of the worst if not the worst naval battle faction because they can't put ballistas on their ships. I thought this was really strange, so I had a bit of a chat with ChatGPT to find out what pre-gunpowder naval battles were really like in history. Turns out there's a massive difference between reality and Bow ...

Why do huscarls have worse armor than their T5?

Why? They have no Cavalry and their archers imo are good af but are like 60% melee 40% archer. Just have huscarls be the straight up best Infantry I don't understand. Their skills are good, 200 one handed and stuff but regardless, a Legionaire still probably cake walks them in most situations. Like literally just slap some really good gauntlets on them. Just gloves, I'm excited and from early access videos they look amazing and so does the ship gameplay. I'm really hoping they get more armor on release and it's just temporary balancing. submitted by /u/MasterUnski [link] [comments]

Declaring own kingdom and civil war

I've been a vassal of khuzait for 9 years now and I'm frustrated with our kingdom not making peace with other kingdoms and not focusing on destroying one kingdom at a time and I'm thinking about declaring my own khanate. However I may have shot myself in the foot, I want to recruit the fellow Khuzait clans quickly as possible to isolate Monchug but the other clans have gotten rich from me steamrolling fiefs and having them given to them and it may cost too much to recruit them, however I have high relations with every khuzait clan and 4+ million denars. My renown is too high to sneak into a town to potentially make a prison break incase Monchug gets captured and to get him killed in the prison break to be elected Khan. Our kingdom is currently at war with Aserai and the Western Empire, I'm thinking would this be a good opportunity now to make my own kingdom while their armies are in the west so I could quickly occupy the Khuzait mainland to weaken the other clans? ...

This community

What's wrong with you all? Everyone here is in a terrible mood and yet they act like they're the smartest and best pro gamers in Mount & Blade.I told two gaming friends to check out the game, and they both found this subreddit and immediately asked me what was wrong with the community. No tactic is good enough; anyone who posts their character gets criticized for not looking like the clan they play for, etc. Have you ever...?Haven't these people achieved anything in life other than becoming super gamers in Bannerlord? What mod is this?

It's been a while since I last played bannerlords. And I was looking foward to play the game again, but I never really went out of my way to reinstall the game and all the mods. But I came across this instagram video, and it fired me up to play as a crusader. Does anyone know what mod or mods are necessary to play as the video? submitted by /u/matie134 [link] [comments]

Where do you guys find the motivation to actually finish Bannerlord?

I bought Bannerlord and started playing. Now I’m about halfway through the campaign – I’m a vassal, I’ve got over 2 million in gold, my own 200+ man warband, 6 well-developed heroes, and my family members are already around 18 years old and almost 70% maxed. But then the classic problem hit me: where do you actually find the motivation to continue? The game starts feeling like the same endless loop: start a war → fight → train troops → simulate battles → take a castle → vote who gets it. Everything follows the same pattern and it just doesn’t feel rewarding anymore. The early game was genuinely fun. I was a complete newbie, enemy lords felt overwhelming, and every small victory felt huge. But as soon as I started winning a few fights and joined as a vassal, it only took a couple of wars and suddenly I’m handed my own castle or even a town. Like… for what reason? I literally just swore loyalty to the king. Where’s the struggle, the work you’re supposed to put in first? :D How do you...

No one is declaring war against me

Now I’ve been playing the beta patch recently and I’m pretty deep into a campaign right now but I’ve realized that no one seems to want to declare war against me? I played on ps4 not too long ago and it was like constant war it was wild but now that I’ve switched to pc and have been playing the beta patch it seems like I’m the only one who’s declaring war. Not once have I been declared on so it’s been an easy steamroll so far since I only have to fight on one front. Also peace is super easy to achieve? I never have to think about paying tributes because it’s not even an option. I kinda liked the old system because this makes it way too easy but I want to know how y’all’s experience has been with the diplomacy. submitted by /u/Jackxfrosf740 [link] [comments]

Power structure of the Calradian empire

What was the power structure of the Calradian empire at its peak? You had the emperor at the top. But who answered to the emperor ? In ASOAIF/GoT, you had the King and the lords paramount/Wardens of each of the 7 regions of westeros managed the Kingdom for him. And smaller lords answered to them. Changes.

Havent played the game for a few years (Played a lot in Early access phase) , and to be honest im almost more exited about the new features and balance changes that will happen with the DLC itself than the ship warfare. From my understanding there wasnt that much changes since the launch and now they are taking the opportunity to add them (Stealth system, better diplomacy ....) What were the most significant changes for the past 3 years in your opinion? I would like to play 1 run Vanilla and then add some mods once they are updated. submitted by /u/VALN3R [link] [comments]

Kingdom help

For context I’m on console so no mods available. This is my first real playthrough where I start and follow through with my own kingdom and I’ve actually had the interest to see it through. I’ve recruited multiple vassals from the empire, sturgia and Vlandia but anytime an army that isn’t mine start up and either go on the offensive or defensive they get completely stomped. What can I do to try and beef them up as they’re all clan tier 4-6 and I’ve given them each over 1k influence. It seems the only army able to get anything done is my own submitted by /u/No-Contribution8171 [link] [comments]

Did I cheat?

First of all, I am obsessed with not cheating while playing Bannerlord. I could not find a helmet I liked in any city even after years, but I really visited all the cities, finally I bought the helmet from cheatmenu and sold it for free to a village and bought it for an exorbitant price. I did the most Berzerk thing...

It's Berzerk we're talking about here, and while it's certainly not the worst thing to be put into animation it's not exactly rainbows and puppies either. Keep it classy. So obviously I am starting with Griffith here and will assemble as much of a Band of the Hawk faithful ensemble as I can. I'll break down my choices on character Background. Vlandians- Pretty self explanatory, classical western european style knights and castles. Urban Merchants- Generally it is considered that Griffith came from a background of impoverished means/street urchin growing period. Urban Merchants places him in a town. Leadership Skills- showed talent and drive for leading others from a young age and... Alley Gangs- ...started out running around with other street rats, using charm and charisma to guide others Skirmishers- Always been a lithe and dexterous fighter who relies on athleticism and control, not the brute force meat shield. Defeated an Enemy- Got a reputation for h...

Looking for a medieval strategy game – Warband or alternatives?

Hey, so I’ve been getting that itch to dive back into Mount & Blade. I used to play it years ago, mostly during my uni days when I had more time. I remember getting ambushed by looters, losing half my army, and somehow still feeling like a tactical genius. Now I’m thinking about picking it up again, but I’m also curious if there are other games that scratch the same itch. My cousin (he’s 17 and just got into medieval stuff through Total War) asked me what he should try, and I realized there are quite a few options out there. Here’s what I’m considering: Mount & Blade: Warband – still a classic, but I’m not sure how well it holds up in 2025. Is the modding scene still active? https://www.g2a.com/mount-blade-warband-steam-key-global-i10000006352007 Battle Brothers – I like the tactical depth, but the visuals and RNG can be a bit rough https://www.g2a.com/battle-brothers-steam-key-global-i10000035112004 Crusader Kings III – I love the chaos and dynasties, but it’s more of a g...

Lord bleed fix?

I am currently trying to win a campaign helping swadia. We had almost every town, one or two left to conquer. But suddenly kingdom of nords (the only other faction left) started to take over cities all over the map. I checked our factions and it seems that I am the only swadian vassal left... All the rest are with the nords... Is there any way I can fix this, through mods or something? I don't want this savefile to be ruined, i want the achievement of helping my ruler rule over calradia... Any ideas what even causes this? submitted by /u/Rhaamses [link] [comments]

I love this game

I am playing Shokuho, medieval japan mod. I started with 1000 golds and healthy. I hired some dudes and, bought some food, what a promising start right? Then I helped some caravan fight off bandits, which helped me gain some loot. But me being greedy, took much more than I could carry. When I was slowly going back to the town bandits came, demanded money. I had 600 but I refused to pay them at all so they beat me up, and enslaved. Before they could sell me though, a group of soldiers killed them so I could escape. Now penniless and hungry I decided to return to the battlefield to loot some bodies of the fallen. While I was looting, a random peasant came but I didn’t escape, he threw me a rock and I lost conciousness lmao. Luckily I blended well with other battlefield bodies so they left me alone. I have now zero money and currently waiting in a town. submitted by /u/Dramatic_Leopard679 [link] [comments]

Ever rush to defend another kingdom after starting your own?

For example, im doing a playthru right now and I have 2 cities and a few castles on the border of the Khuzait/Sturgia. While working on getting some nobles to join my kingdom, I havent been paying attention to the western half of the map and when I did look, I see battania having its last city (they had 0 castles) seiged. I immediately called the banners and didnt even wait for my army to form before I ran all the way there to see who it was. Of course it was a 2k large landing army. Battania had 1k defenders but was out of food. My army got together in time and when Claudia started seizing, I waited till they got to 1500 left and attacked eith my 900 (battalion was down to 400). I saved them at the cost of starting a war vs vlandia who is the strongest faction by far with my only saving grace being that my kingdom is so far away from them. Now im tempted to try and retake some battanian land for them. Aka help them if they try to seige something vlandia took from them submitted b...

My game just started crashing after about 20 hours of gameplay into any campaign, no matter the mods, so I’m trying ANOTHER clean reinstall and thought I would just try boring old vanilla…not really looking forward to it, unfortunately. I put so many hours into vanilla on console (both Series X and PS5) that mods were the only way I could continue playing this game. Any suggestions? Just tried the new jail break system for the first time..

I wont even ask taleworlds, so modders, I'm begging you. Fix this. Here are my issues (some of these are just the stealth system in general) : You should be able to break out whoever you want, not just one person. I mean... why wouldnt you, if youre already going to the trouble of getting in there. Maybe have a specific guard you have to kill to "get a key". I see absolutely no point in the whole "contact" thing.. we have tools to get a guard away from the dungeon door... why not just sneak through the town and the dungeon? If anyone should be able to be bribed its the gate guard(s) After you get the prisoner, some guards will spawn by doors and just.... stand there... staring at the door...forever.... Like I guess they want you to have to fight openly but it just feels really dumb Throwing rocks. First of all, it feels absolutely terrible, but that may be on me for a low throwing skill, not sure if that changes as you improve. But my main issue wit...

Outpost/Village/Settlement building should’ve been a thing by now…

I know, beating a dead horse and I’m glad we are getting naval combat along with the mods that improve the game as official additions. But Viking Conquest had buildable settlements, we should be able to do so too, especially involving raiding. The Nords would do so well setting up war-ports along the coasts. Maybe they spawn in “patrols” of their own that raid and sack villages and caravans that pass through the area as a form of passive income for the owner. Or an Empire lord builds a fortress along their borders as a first line of defense, gradually improving their defenses over time. All settlements would have upgrades that improve their defenses, storage, garrisons, and even provide unique abilities like building a coastal port to build ships in as well as dock, stone walls creating a nee castle, or settling veteran soldiers in your army to create something similar to Roman Veteran colonies which make hiring troops cheaper and grant you a small town, with the expectation that so...

Khuzati up

I just witnessed some terrifying stuff, a 500 member Khuzati army was besieging a castle with 250 troops, but before the siege started they were attacked by an imperial(southern) army of 850 troops, the Khuzati still won against the army remaining with 200 troops, and with these 200 they stormed the castle with 250 and took it, this thing made me so crazy that I canceled my imperial run to start a khuzato one. submitted by /u/DagoothUr [link] [comments]

Solution for sieges being too easy

Make the siege towers taller and put archers on top, so they can shoot inside the walls. Also fix all catapult positions where the enemy AI archers can't shoot you. In case you didn't know, the best strategy for defending your castle/town from a siege is to abandon the walls completely and just put your troops in the courtyard. Put your archers in a line, in a position where they can see the top of the wall, any enemy that climbs the wall is instantly showered with arrows. Sometimes the enemy will form a shield wall, bait them with a small unit of melee troops, they will turn to face them and get shot in the back. You can win battles that have you outnumbered 10 to 1 with this tactic, which is obviously unrealistic as losing the wall historically meant the siege was lost. submitted by /u/SchemingVegetable [link] [comments]
