How to deploy a part of your army?

I mean the moment I earn a new town one of its settlements go up in flames. I dont want to march 500-1000 soldiers around just to scare of or even engage a bunch of 90-100 raiders. What's with the pathing in this game?

When I click to move somewhere, why doesn't it just go there in a straight line? It doesn't seem to go according to the fastest path - cutting through forests and over hills unnecessarily. Sometimes causes me to get caught by mobs I want to avoid because it chooses to first go in a different direction before later curving to where I actually clicked.

Are there any mods that fix this?

Dickplomacy Reloaded!

Hello everyone! :D I just made a mod, it's called Dickplomacy Reloaded. Basically it adds the functionality that you would find in normal mods, such as Dynamic Troop Trees, Custom Troop Trees, Freelancer, Tournament Play Enhancements, Single Screen Character Creation, and Rubiks World Map into Dickplomacy. ^-^ It also doesn't require WSE, but you still need the older (exe) version of Warband that comes with Dickplomacy. (Though I haven't tested it with the newest version of Warband so it might work.) Also, if you do decide to download it, please ignore (DO NOT USE) the "content options" folder, it is legacy, and the mod is compiled from source with all features.
