Will Bannerlord have other "players" that do the same things as you?

I don't mean simple NPCs, I mean a few other characters in the game that are controlled by the AI, yet function the same as the player, such as starting from nothing, being able to recruit any soldier, taking their own quests, swearing fealty to a faction, etc. They wouldn't follow the rules of NPC Lords, the would follow the rules of the player.
