What should I do here?

I’m a vasal with the Khuzaits and I feel like the AI is not doing me any favors. We were at war with Sturgia and the Aserai at the same time which was a nightmare because everyone was running north and south. Not at war with Sturgia anymore but as soon as we made peace with them Monchug went and declared war with the western empire. I have 15 fiefs and they all border the western empire. So while every place I own is getting attacked Monchug and all the other assholes have been fighting over Shibal Zumr Castle. One side takes it and back and forth so most of the army is over there. And I’m in the same situation over at Onica castle. I own it but they take it and then I take it back. No one is getting anywhere. I want to go on the offensive and take Zeonica but I just don’t have enough people and I don’t think I can get anymore. Any tips for this stalemate? And where do all their troops keep coming from? They keep coming with 1100 troop armies and I keep destroying them, shouldn’t the...

Rolling back versions causing crashes

I've been trying to roll back to 1.7.1 since a mod I want to try only works on that or before, but even after a clean reinstall, Bannerlord keeps crashing on the actual first screen you see upon starting the game. Don't even get to see developer animation or the main menu. After said clean install, I roll back from 1.8.0 to 1.7.1. Game starts up fine on 1.8, but never works on 1.7.1. Any tips? Im a bit confused about the console release.

You can pre order the game already on ps4. But the game is not available for ps4 consoles in the psn app which explicitly say“Only Playable on PS5“ I mean is this game even playable on the ps4 pro? Strikes me that this game is pretty unplayable without some key mods, whereas other mods just make it straight up more fun. How can I change the colors of my kingdom baner without destroying it and recreating it?

So I left Sturgia and yoinked a bunch of land because Raganvad is a moron who doesnt know how to win any battles. Created a kingdom and I realized that hey, my banner colors didnt revert back to what they were, they stayed as the Sturgia colors. I created my kingdom by now as well, and for some ungodly reason Taleworlds saw fit to design it so that you cant change the background color, only the symbol color and the symbol. So here I am at war with Sturgia who I just left and im stuck with all my guys looking the exact same as theirs because we are all using the same troops and im unable to change the color because that would be too much for TW, ive read online that this isnt a bug and is a "design choice". Is there any workaround for this? I know you can technically leave your own kingdom and reform it, but if I do that I cant get the same name as before because it "Already exists" and I dont see an option to basically hijack the same kingdom I had just left. Derthert is a bastard

Just got done with a war with the Aserai and took two major cities wasn't even on the roster to get them even though my relation is 100 with Derthert and above 60 with pretty much every other noble clan leader in Vlandia. I seen someone said it gives it to you if your fiefs are the closest so we go to war with the Western empire I take Granotar castle and own Thractorae right next door and again not even on the vote with influence at about 1200. breweries not working?

Been playing bannerlord since it first released and breweries have always seemed to be one of the most profitable workshops. New version so I decided to start a new vlandian campaign and none of the breweries are working. Held onto one for roughly 100 days and still never produced anything even made sure it was the only one im the town. Startup crash

So I’m getting back into bannerlord 2 and redownloaded. It’s all updated and everything. I press the play button on on the single player menu and it’s loading up the game. Boom “the application failed” and it’s telling me to install some files or something. I tried validating the files with no results. Rage quit due to mobility.

how to change shield hp values?

how to edit shield hp values? I'm using realistic battle mod and so shields break in 2-4 hits and are mostly useless. so I want to 10x their hp. i tried changing the hp values in sandbox core and in realistic battle mod. for some reason they aren't changing in the game. i have tried doing the same for armor values and it works but sadly not shields. Is it possible to overthrow the king and take the kingdom as your own? Or do you have to rebel sand build up one fief at a time?

I want to create the kingdom of Swadia. I know the Vlandians turn in to the kingdom of swadia but the lore never says how. It’s probably just a natural transition in name but I think it would be cool to be a Vlandian lord and take the kingdom for myself either through succession or a rebellion. Cavalry having trouble killing the last few enemy troops?

I've begun noticing this behavior recently where a battle seems to be taking forever to finish - but when you check, there are only a few enemy troops left who just won't die. I ride up and see a mass of my troops surrounding them but seemingly just interfering with each other so badly that the enemy is untouched. I have to recall my troops somewhere else in the battlefield and then charge them back in - or just go kill the remaining four infantry that my troops can't manage to defeat. Is this a known problem? Game crashes when wages paid/skill point gained?

So I'm stuck at a point in my campaign where I keep crashing. As soon as I have to pay the wages or gain my 133rd point in Athletics, the game crashes. I'm unsure which causes it and if either even causes it. BEW cannot find the mod responsible. Every time the reason is "TaleWords.CampaingSystem object reference not set to an instance of an object" I did try disabling some mods anyways, at least those I can play the save without, and it still crashed. Is Bannerlord as good a meme source as Warband?

I've played Bannerlord for a bit, but so far, the changes made make the game feel more serious, with less randomness and AI bullshit. Don't get me wrong, these are still present, but not in the same way as in Warband. And then there's the lack of those sound clips that play during encounters (no more "almost" harvesting season!), the companions are randomly generated (meaning there's no chance of Jeremus), and no feats! tips on getting better with realistic player damage

pretty much what the title says, I generally came from just playing on half damage, but I wanna try a run where I have everything set to realistic/bannerlord difficulty, however im finding the looters with rocks tend to just headshot me while i kite them with a horse. Is there any tips on how to get better at this difficulty? or just good tips for combat in general? Some tips playing warband on ps4?

Trying to get into this so I can get it out of my backlog finally! I always beat the tutorial and then just kinda get bored due to the lack of conveyance. (Though that's the point of M&B) Last time I managed to get far as a vassal but i'd like to actually have my own kingdom. So far on this current playthrough I can't win a tournament for the life of me. So i'm resorting to jumping looters and selling them for money until I can get better gear. when i start a new save i can play for around 20 minutes then it will crash. loading a save before the crash lets me play for a couple of seconds before it crashes again

Anybody else unable to do full playthroughs?

Every time I play Bannerlord I always end up hitting a wall in the late game, and stop playing for a while only to start over a new save from scratch. I prefer to play with mods and it’s so satisfying when you get a good combination of mods working and, but even then my game always seems to end up crashing/breaking when I’m in the late game- usually when I’m trying to grow my own kingdom. I’ve tried to play vanilla to have a clean game but in that scenario it’s such an unbearable grind to be able to get to late game without exploiting smithing. I guess I just wish there were better late game incentives and in-depth diplomacy so that I didn’t have to worry about unstable mods to do it for me. Full release is unlikely to mean end of development.

Many people seem to criticize Taleworlds for announcing the full release even though not all features that were mentioned in the past have been implemented. This is understandable and the criticism is somewhat justified. However, many also seem to assume that these features will never be implemented ever and that no new content will be coming after the release. This is very unlikely, given the time they have been working on the game and the long lifespan of warband. I fully expect them to move to a Paradox style business model after the release, with large regular content and bugfix patches accompanied by paid DLC offering additional features on top. While this comes with the danger of features being "outsourced" into DLC, it would also allow them to support the game for a long time while also making money off of it (kinda important for a game studio) - anything else like declaring the game finished and moving to maintenance mode would be a very unwise and therefore unli...

Overburdened army speed

PoP: Is it possible to rename cities in game?

Still not satisfied with current game state.

So after a few months of not playing I thought I should jump back on and see how things have got on. As I do not tend to follow updates because of the amount of unnecessary hotfixes, then to see that things have not changed much at all. I'm getting constant crashes when sometimes opening the 'party' menu and if I'm going to be honest... vanilla game just seems so bland and tedious still. The game has been out for 2 1/2 years ish now and it still feels the same as it did a year ago. I haven't been into pc gaming long, the only reason I got into it was because i was excited to play bannerlord then to my surprise it isn't that great. Is it normal for games to stay in early access for this long and drip feed content? I really hope I'm not the only one who feels like this. Clans in my kingdom are stuck on “Very Poor”

I joined the Southern Empire and every single archon of their clan is stuck at 0 denars no matter what I do. I’ve cheated money into their inventory, I’ve given it to them through trade, I have the Diplomacy mod installed and even added money to their clan through the menu and no dice. Even when we’re at war, no one in my kingdom raises armies or attempts to gather more troops into their party. They just aimlessly wander around the map. Whats weird is that their clan members denars DO increase and stay increased when I give money to them, and every other kingdom is doing just fine gaining money and gathering armies. Very confused on why this is happening and wondering if anyone else has had this problem? Crash After Fast Forwarding and Healing

Hey all, i am starting to get some problems with crashing after a battle and healing and fastforwarding, it happens randomly and cant pin the exact way to recreate it. The only thing i know is that fastforwarding when hurt and your character is healing causes it. I have created a ticket in the forums and lots of people have seen it but no one has responded so im coming here to see if any of you can help. Initially i started with mod by mod uninstall to see if it was caused by that but i think the exception is being thrown in the actual campaign system. Hi i got a question for you guys. I'm wondering how BANNERLORD would perform on the new gen consoles rather than the last gen consoles. What would the battle size frames rates etc be on the new gen console? I've played WarBand on the last gen console (PS4) I liked it but it's a shame they haven't optimized it on the new gen consoles but that's not the topic. Workshop Bug?

I've been having an issue in my game where all of my workshops eventually go down to 0 income no matter the circumstances. I've put breweries in places where the nearby villages are producing grain and I am friendly with the towns but my workshops still end up going down to 0 income. Why does Circle/Square Formation exist?!

TL;DR: OP is mad that the AI is bad and tanks ranged with their backs instead of just F1F3 Every. Single. Battle. (it feels like) The stupid AI retains control of half of the units in my army and they smother the archers under their command in the center of an infantry circle. Then they just sit there while the enemy ranged empty their quivers and devastate the rear side of the circle who are pointing their shields towards an empty field. Meanwhile the archers are just sitting there going "idk dude I don't want to shoot my ally in the back of the head" while taking heavy arrow fire and doing nothing. In any close battles I have to pay close attention to what they're doing just in case they get any wacky circle formation ideas and quickly retreat and restart the fight or just let auto-resolve decide. Issue starting game [1.7.2]

Yesterday I was playing the game on 1.7.2 fine with a few mods no problem. Then today after the update for 1.8.0 I reverted back and tried to boot up the game with the same mods to no avail. So I started taking of mods and relaunching until eventually I had no mods left and was just vanilla, still game kept crashing on the loading screen and saying that "application has faced a issue". Tribute Payments: How does dividing it up work?

I don't know if it's a bug but according to the diplomacy screen, my faction (Aserai) is receiving 6.5K in tribute from Vlandia and **53K** from the Southern Empire. First of all, I don't remember the tribute being that high when we made peace. Second of all, I'm receiving only 20 denars in tribute per day from the Southern Empire and 44 per day from Vlandia. Our faction does not have as many clans under it as half the factions on the map. Yet I'm receiving only 64 denars in tribute per day total from winning (or being sued for peace, depending on how you look at it) these wars. I was responsible for more prisoners taken, villages raided, and exponentially more casualties. TL:DR: How are tributes divided? Fuck Forced Updates (looking at you steam)

I spent all weekend trying to get this game running again with maybe 5 mods. Settled on e1.7.1 because I'm sick of things breaking with updates and e1.7.2 won't launch on steam. I sit down today to play and steam forces me to update e1.7.1 with a tiny update (<1gb) before letting me play. Now my game crashes on start up. Seriously fuck updates, just let me play the game. Don't force me into this shit. Am I stupid and not aware of a way around this on steam, probably. I feel like a stupid angry child so yeah I'm throwing a fit. Troop amounts

So in warband the amount spawned troops in battle were based on your party size. If it was a fight 200v100, then you would have significantly more troops on the field (idk if it was twice more but more). But now in Bannerlord when I fight bigger battles like 1000v600 with 1000 troops battle setting both sides get 500 troops. Seems pretty bad to me since it erases your number advantage. Progressing Dragon Banner Quest

I'm stuck on the main quest. I Finally took over my first settlement (Balkaland from rebels) I have a level 4 clan with 140 troops. And all the requirements to complete the quest. In the journal it says to assemble the banner from the clan tab, and I genuinely don't see it. I try to talk to the guy (Azerous?) And he has nothing for me. Any ideas? It just occurred to me; where are the swadians in Bannerlord?

Yes, I know they're said to originate from the Vlandians, but with the other factions there's a direct (or indirect) reference to the Warband factions in some way. As far as I can tell, there's no nod to the Kingdom of Swadia in Bannerlord. - the Sarranid Sultanate directly originates from the Aserai. One of the Aserai clans is the Banu Sarran, and one of the companions in Warband (Lezalit I think) blatantly references a "House of Sarran." Safe logic is that what had been the Aserai was taken over by the Sarran at some point, and the name was simply applied to the people as a whole. - Same deal with the Khergit Khanate originating from the Khuzaits. One of the Khuzait clans is literally called the Khergit clan. - The Kingdom of Vaegirs 'probably' originate from the Vagiroving clan in the Sturgians. There's a blatant reference to a "Vaegir Guard" in Bannerlord in some dialogue. - Some parts of Sturgian notes mention their connection to th...

I wish rockstar would make a game like bannerlord

No insult to Tale World, I believe they have built a base for a game that is none like others, but the substance is lacking a lot. I just want a narrative-driven game with a world filled with life, depth, lore, and a game where I become connected to the characters, and live out a story, all tied together with bannerlords already great gameplay and epic battles. Because right now, the game itself is very meaningless and feels like a medieval battle sim, nothing more. I guess you could say I want something like Game of Thrones but just in a game. Probably lots of people are going to disagree with me but its nothing we've ever seen before, a game where you're a king going through a story of love, betrayal, conquest, trust, commanding armies and marching them through lands connecting with characters and most importantly writing out a path. AI needs serious improvement, conquest is frustrating

Currently vassal of Battania, we can't mobilize a significant amount of troops against the W.Empire because the clans basically suck at recruiting and growing themselves. I'm the only one making +100 men parties. Even worse, stupid lords create 2 weak ass 350-400 men armies and I'm out of Clans to amass an army myself. On the other hand, Empire seems to have a ridiculous amount of Clans and vassals so I'm being constantly charged by +500 armies and dozens upon dozens of +130 men parties. It's tiresome because I feel I'm the only one taking care of the kingdom, bc lords dont defend sieges or lose towns to rebellions constantly. Anyone else feeling like this? I love the game but feels pointless at times. Looters and bandits joining you?

So i've been doing a playthrough (Like anyone should unless you bought the game to brag that you bought the game or some shit) and I am doing genghis khan strat (Or at least trying) and my gang chased some looters and we were outnumbered but they still did the "Pls let us join I promise we'll be good" and I said yes and then immediately sent them to a castle for garrison influence (Mercenary gang) and I was wondering, could you make a build out of this? Where can I find the most up to date guide on castle management?

I've got two of the damn things and want to find out how to make them and their respective villages profitable. I seem to be finding guides and advice that suggest options that no longer exist. So far I'm upgrading everything, but that doesn't seem to be adjusting how much money the villages bring to me. I'm trying to become financially independent so that I no longer have to resort to constant warfare for money. Bannerlord- ineed a financial advisor

I currently have 7 workshops(making over 200d on some good days, mostly silversmith & wool) & 6 caravans formed from a prosperous town (Forgot what it called), I took over Tyal, a town & a castle in front of it. I keep going in debt & losing money. Tyal alone was costing me -1500something denars. I am also with the S. Empire rn, she keeps giving me castles & I keep giving it back to her. My question is, if I limit the budget what does that affect? Will it lower the garrison limit? What happens if I put it to 0? Lol. How did you guys stay afloat on your first fief(s)? Is this how it’s going to be throughout the whole playthrough? From the other forums I’ve read so far it seems like this is going to be such a grind unlike Warband where the money can just flow in upon getting workshops. Autoresolve sucks ass

Was already doing a frustrating battle with the rhodoks and their stupid ass crossbows, that had me reloading for a whole ass hour as the ai for my troops wasn't acting right as they kept walking into obstacles, ignoring attacks, or all of them would be attacking a single stranded soldier instead of the main cluster of em. On my last reload, I just decided to auto resolve after I got knocked unconscious around the end of battle as I only lost 8 people out of 28 this time, and the rhodoks lost 28 out of 35. I lost. Even though I still had mostly decent mercenary troops, while the rhodoks only had weak crossbowmen and low lvl spearmen, I lost my whole damn fucking squad that I spent too much money on with no save to go back too, as autosave decided now was the time to work. Right after that I deleted the game and I think imma have to take a break for a while as this game is so fucking frustrating, yet so fun at times. Need mount to upgrade

I started playing again with the realistic battle, auto resolve rebalanced and diplomacy mods. I'm playing on 1.8. I last played ~1.5 years ago, I don't remember you needing mounts to upgrade troops that already have them. Normally you'd need a mount to upgrade a footsoldier to a mounted one and a war horse for higher tier cavalry, once, but now I need a mount/war mount every time I upgrade my troops, even if I already had upgraded them with that tier mount. This means I need 1 mount and 3 war mounts, aka ~5k gold to upgrade just one Khuzait Noble's Son to Khan's Guard/Vlandian Squire to Banner Knight. It's ridiculous balancing wise, makes no sense realistically, and I don't know if it's a base game change or one of my mods causing it. Anyone got info on this, and perhaps on how to make it not be the case? I can't find any discussion about it for the life of me, but surely it isn't normal. I haven’t touched the game since release; I’ve been waiting for it to be fully released with all content before I play it. But with the October 25th console version (and likely leaving early access on PC), is there a roadmap or any word of more updates between now and then that aren’t just minor bug patches? I’m trying to decide if I should wait until the end of October or if I should just start playing it now. In a perfect world, there would be a huge update with loads of new content released alongside the full release. Does anyone think this is going to happen? Save game crashes and in a "unhandled exception" Mscorlib ERROR [1.7.2]

Closed the game to configure some mods, started the game, attempted to load save up. Crashes to a error window [BELOW]. Same happens with previous saves in that world as well .
