What are the best Vanilla+ bannerlod mods?

Really just the title, I'm looking for a more dynamic experience which improves on some of the less flushed out aspects of the game. However, there are a few specific changes I would like: - is there a mod that improves high tier armour/slows down combat? I'm talking about doubling/tripling the armour of high tier units to make battles take longer, not the RBM depth of reworks. I just want longer battles so strategy has more of an impact - is there a mod that improves spears without going all the way to RBM where pikes kill everything? Just something that makes pikes/spears a legit counter to cavalry - is there a mod that makes cavalry charges more devastating? - is there a mod that makes high tier troops significantly more expensive, trying to replicate a more historical army system where lords have a small elite retinue then recruit levies for a given campaign - any AI improvement mods which stop archers being able to wipe armies 4x their size whilst doing barely anythi...

Did Bannerlord get rid of the “of the Wastes” companion?

I try to play differently sometimes but always end up back doing an all archer bandit/Merc style play through. The first companion I used to always look for was “of the wastes” due to their high bow & scouting skills. I couldn’t tell you the last time I saw him. I always do heavily modded play throughs that get corrupted every few weeks so I start new play throughs regularly & honestly can’t remember the last time I saw him under the wanderers tab in the encyclopedia. I want to say it’s been since warsails came out that I’ve seen him, but I’m not sure it’s been that long. But it’s been months & months since I’ve seen him. I’m currently in year 1142 (playing vanilla due to the beta version) in my current & he still hasn’t popped up. submitted by /u/FineUnderstanding583 [link] [comments]

KINSLAYER!!! From Sturgian Hero to Khuzait Monster…

Part 1 Part 2 The Ash Trail Beside his Khuzait uncle, Altu Beg, Robert Stark led the vanguard north under Bortu Khan's banner. To prove his loyalty, Robert burned his own homeland. His horse archers turned Sturgian border villages to ash. The northern lords had spent years sneering at his foreign blood. Now he gave them a reason to fear it, pushing straight to Tyal. A Sister's Warning Before the horde arrived, Arya Stark rode to The Retreat to save her brother Bran. She begged him to flee to Sibir, but Bran refused to leave his hearth. He told her debts were owed and her sword belonged in the west. He gave her one last order: guard the living. Arya left him in the cold cave and rode away into the fog. The Fall of Tyal Tyal fell in hours. Khuzait warriors breached the walls and cut down the garrison. Robert did not stay to plunder. Before the invasion, he had told Bortu Khan about his uncle Bran's visions. Seeing the greenseer as the enemy's greatest weapon,...

Companions using javelin as melee

I’ve been doing a bunch of testing on companion loadouts, I usually give them a bow, arrows, javelin/jereed and shield. Once they throw most of the jav they will use their last one as a spear.. But when I get rid of the bow and just have them use 3 stacks and a shield or 4 stacks, they all throw their last one and just come in throwing hands! Does anyone know why this would be? Any ideas to get them to use their last one as a spear? I’m on ps4 submitted by /u/wettyfap67_ [link] [comments]

Ghilman needs rework

In the official description, it says: The Ghilman are a band of mercenaries who recruit from the tribes of southern Calradia and the lands to the east. They are legally their own slaves and masters: each "sells" himself to the order and, in the process, becomes a part-owner. They are known for their fine horses and fine clothes. But no one should assume from their oiled locks, perfumes and peacock feathers that they spend more time preening than training. Their skills as mounted archers are second to none, and as lancers are close behind the Vlandians and the imperial cataphracts.[1] Look closely, "Their skills as mounted archers are second to none, and as lancers are close behind the Vlandians and the imperial cataphracts". But the thing is, ingame, ghilman doesn't have any horsearchers. Moreover, their armour doesn't appear as drippy as it should be. So I've thought of the design of the ghilman troops. They should be tier 6, since they are app...

Raising twenty veterans shouldn't take forty popups

https://www.nexusmods.com/mountandblade2bannerlord/mods/11742 I make Hearth & Herald, a clan management mod, and this update came straight out of my own campaign. The clan got big, and I wanted a proper corps of Thegns (the mod's commission for companions who fight rather than govern). Raising twenty veterans meant a commission screen for every single one (and a skill screen each, with the skill build on), five per review at most, and then scrolling a list of ninety-odd names to find the ten actually riding with me. That's what 1.12.0 fixes. Promotions per review in Mod Options still defaults to 3, but it goes up to 50 now, and when you raise a batch you can shape them alike: one commission for the whole intake, plus one calling if you've turned on Skill build at promotion (it's off by default). So two decisions at most instead of up to forty. With the skill build on they each still train from their own skill pool, so you don't end up with twenty clones, and i...

I made an Economic World Ledger mod. Here's the Initial kingdom economy state compared to one deep into a Vlandian Campaign.

Bannerlord Co-op Or Bannerlord Together

So just bought Bannerlord 2 and War Sails for two of my buddies and would love to do a campaign/sandbox with both of them. I see these two multiplayer mods are the main ones I have seen/found, and I was wondering which of them are more preferred and if either is okay with some other mods added like maybe some QoL or more armor mods. submitted by /u/Ambitious-Chair7421 [link] [comments]

Mod Release - CavalryChargeAI - Deadly Cavalry Charges

Hey all! A while ago I posted about my cavalry AI mod and the response was way better than I expected. Thank you! It's now out as a beta on Nexus. What it does: Cycle charges: cavalry hits, rides through, re-forms and charges again instead of getting stuck in melee Real charges: full gallop at impact, lots more couched lance kills Spread-out targets: riders stop piling onto the same guy Heavier horses hit harder: a heavy horse at full gallop knocks men down, a light horse at a trot barely pushes them Works on your own Charge orders too Smarter enemy commanders: every lord can use all battle tactics, not just "everyone charge" (unrelated to cav AI, but that prevents dumb lords to perform better againts cav, can be turned off on MCM) Everything can be tweaked or turned off in the MCM menu. BREAKING: EMPRESS IRA LIVES!!! Heads will roll…

For days, the Empire held its breath. Whispers filled the halls that Empress Ira would never wake, struck down for good by the assassin’s blade. But against all odds, she opened her eyes. Master Surgeon Eronys was there to deliver the bitter cost of her survival: Alena was dead, having taken the strike intended for Ira. Weak but furious, Ira summoned Rhamira and Adinea the Black to her bedside. She learned the full horror of what had transpired: Archon Phadon’s attempted coup , the Neretzes gold, and Lord Yaqus’s suspected treason. When guards were sent to drag the spymaster to the dungeons, his chambers were empty. Yaqus had already fled the capital. Defying her surgeons, the Empress strapped heavy armor over her fresh bandages and marched to the keep courtyard. She ordered Phadon dragged up from the deep dungeons. Without a trial or a word of mercy, Ira drew her steel and beheaded the traitor herself before the terrified Senate. The Empress lived, and treason ended in blood....

Best Overhauls?

Bit the bullet a little while ago and treated myself to a decent gaming laptop, so i have been enjoying finally playing some mods after playing 1200 hours of vanilla on my Xbox Series S, so far i have tried out the Serve as a Soldier mod and Empires of Europe: 1700 which i am a big fan of, the map is enormous and it gives the game a fresh feel with the level of detail put into it. Curious what some suggestions are for other overhaul mods and any mods in general that are cool/improve gameplay etc.? submitted by /u/FullFuckinFFO [link] [comments]

Early game equipment

This might be a little unfair because I'm playing Warsails, and the tutorial gives a shit ton of rewards if you know how to, but yeah this is how early game arms and armor actually looks like, has anyone else had this same experience? submitted by /u/Equal-Ear-5504 [link] [comments]

Encountered an Annoyance

Playing vanilla+ (a few lore friendly and QoL mods) and finally started my own kingdom. Currently have one town and just lost two castles. The town is a Player Settlement on the same island as Hvalvik. Both castles were in Sturgian territory that were taken over by the Nords and Battanians. Sturgians only have Omor left. After losing both castles and recognizing the difficulty in holding fiefs on the mainland, I decided to convince a decent number of vassals to defect to my kingdom, all of which had zero fiefs to begin with. Now I’m up to about 8 or 9 clans in my kingdom, all of whom have a considerable number of family members. Now I want to declare war on the Nords again to take Hvalvik and set the foundation for future campaigns on the mainland. Here’s the annoying bit: my relation with the Nordic King (not Halthdar, he recently passed) is too high, so I can’t even call the war to a vote! However, it seems that doesn’t stop the AI from declaring war on me whenever they’d like. Onl...
