I mean I play it mainly as Role play, so winning it is not my goal, but I definitely want to be successful. Usually, getting first city is pretty hard, because having less than 200 troops, building siege camp, fending off enemy lords roaming around my siege camp requires big heap of luck. Then expanding the kingdom without clans is hard, even with two or three it gets hard against fully established kingdoms. However, weekly I see many posts about finished game, great strategic win, destroying whole kingdoms singlehandedly.... I am by no means beginner, having 2K+ hours in Warband (partially napoleonic wars as regiment member, but still many hours in Floris, Pendor and so on), 700+ hours in Bannerlord. I'm brand new to this community and have been enjoying it quite a bit. My experience with Harlaus in the twenty to thirty hours I've put into it is limited to:
- Parking my army outside of Praven
- Him stepping up with almost three times my number in troops.
- Taking him prisoner and eventually ransoming him off.
I'd love to know where Butterlord comes from and what to make of what appear to be jokes at Harlaus' expense. Is he secretly Ghandi prepping for nuclear warfare over Calradia, or is he just a goober; 'cuz frankly I struggle to take a commander like him seriously ever since he tried and failed to chase me from Ryibelti to Sargoth before turning around and getting slapped by Godking Ragnar.
