I have been testing quite a bit Naute vs Legionaries as I want to make a Infantry playthrough with Empire only units and I noticed Legionaries are just ass now. Naute even with worse armor just outperform and that even in battles where they are outnumbered and/or fight mixed armies against t5/t4 with archers and cav. Following years of a weak leftist coalition in control of Spain, military officers have gone from a limping conspiracy to full out revolt against the government following the assasination of Calvo Sotelo by police forces.
Infamous general Francisco Franco, now the self proclaimed Caudillo of Spain, has landed on the mainland with battle hardened troops from pacifying insurgencies in Morocco and leftist revolts in Northern Spain.
In response radical anarchists, communists, and defenders of the republic have arisen from the masses to defend the crumbling republic. Infighting has proven to be a problem, but one thing is certain among them all: They will rid Spain of tyrants, or die trying.
While the western democracies of Europe remain paralyzed in fear, Germany, Italy, and the USSR have all sent aid to their respective factions in the war torn country, to ensure an ally for the gathering storm of the second World War. Thousands of men and women across the world have volunteered in international brigades, believing in their righteous cause enough to fight in another country for it.
As radical ideologies divide brother from brother, son from father, and neighbor from neighbor, there is only one guaranteed truth: The fate of Spain is forever changed.
Welcome to the twelfth Mod Night!
Mod Night is a casual play community event where we visit less popular/empty multiplayer mods that you wouldn't otherwise have a chance to try out.
- This month we'll be visiting Red and Blue, a historical mod showcasing the brutal struggle between the radical left and right in the Spanish Civil War of 1936. You can find the download for the module here! (The download is in the main article, not in the files tab.)
- This mod features many weapons of the time period, including rifles, machine guns, sub machine gun, and artillery cannons. Also within are many, many different troops, ranging from Moroccan conscripts to radical Canadian communists (the latter of which has great voice lines.)
- The Napoleonic Wars DLC is needed for this mod, as it uses it's systems and assets. You can purchase NW here.
