i can't sue for peace while actively dying

im in 2 front war, all my vassals are captured, i have one castle left after vlandia cane with the 2000 men army and took my city , and i cant make peace even i i want to pay tribute. (Native) The true power of Huscarl Shields

Looking at the stats of the Huscarl’s Shield, it has 410 durability (basically HP), paired with a whopping 19 resistance meaning that each arrow shot delivers only 1 damage to durability (ie 20 damage to shield from arrow - 19 resistance)

Am I correct in thinking this means every huscarl unit shield can take up to 400 arrows/ sword hits before breaking? Are they basically invincible?
