With the rapid expansion of power by the epochal leaders Yarograd and Saultnami, a new hegemon has arrived in calradia not seen since the likes of the old Calradic Empire. The reasons for its expansion in such a diverse land will be covered later in my Chronicles of this triumphant peoples. The focus of this work is of its organization of land, labor, and goods, using a mix of old and new systems which has brought great wealth into the tundra. The first of which is to be covered is its lands, for which its vast makeup covers almost every biome in calradia. From its beginning the ancient vaegiroving clan was from that of the snowy tundra, living in an inhospitable land lacking in that of arable farmland. These origins bred a rugged people born into clawing an existence from other means, but by that of wares and war. The vaegir heartlands contain a wealth of natural resources: from Iron, Furs, and metals it gave rise to an economy much different that of the western kingdoms of calradia. Towns formed along vast ore deposits as well as walled castles to protect these wares as they moved across the lands. This would serve to give a hybridized nobility which served the tsardom-a standard nobility with lands and fiefs as well as that of a dominant merchant class, using their profits to create a core of druzhina to serve them and their interests. As these warlike men conquered new lands, they encountered places much different than their old tundra, much of which would be that of Swadian, Rhodok, and Nordic lands. These new lands were initially a challenge for the new occupiers of these strange lands yet with the administrative abilities of yaro sault and the minister of the interior Mephistopheles, many new systems were put into action. Corvee labor was established in varying degrees throughout, with the tundra lands having more months while the rich plains of eastern swadia using less. Through these general works were carried out with military and civilian interests kept in mind. These new roads, canals, and defenses would be established to improve the output and wellbeing of local communities as well as bolstering the rapidly expanding empire. Next was the creation of military governates. These Imperial lords held power through the Tsar and held their positions not through hereditary rule but that of lifetime appointments, although many lords still held their own lands in the core of the empire. They would serve to control public order as well as defend the lands from threats internally and externally. They would as well see revenues and tariffs would make it to the capital. In return, they would collect a portion of these revenues as well as take any loot they gained from their own conquests. Through this imperial style of rule, power was centralized in the hands of the Tsar and empowered the nobility and their families. The final major reform would be a simple yet powerful tool that aided the vinegar interests is that of the state industry. These industries would serve to provide vital resources for war as well as the civilian sector, giving the state apparatus easy access to that of weapons and armor, keeping prices low and their goods stable, not relying on the whims of other lands for their things vital to their conquests. These things along with many additional reforms would empower the military and economic growth within the empire, allowing it to consolidate its gains and keep pace with its mighty armies.
