These are the reasons that made me permanently uninstall this mod RBM gives an "orderly" and technical feel to the battles, almost as if the soldiers were professional fencers in an arena. It's impressive, but: The AI tries too hard to maintain a duel logic or micro-positioning. We lose the dirty, chaotic, and brutal nature of real hand-to-hand combat. There are too many situations where troops fail to exploit their superior numbers or hesitate to "pile on" in the melee. I'm sorry, but after extensive research, I can confirm that battlefields are bound to quickly become chaotic, and that won't happen in a computer battle. The main problems I find: the Al's tactics in combat are always the same; each battle is exactly the same. The battles are really too easy because tier 6 units are invincible, and the Al can never have as many tier 6 units as the player. The battles are very long, which doesn't bother me, but the lords reappear in a l...

What the title says. I know the companion number is limited by how many companions your clan can have. But lets say that I play in campaign mode, and both my brothers and I marry. Lets say we each on average have 7 kids (not unreasonable in my experience). Me, my siblings, and our spouses will number 7 (assuming sister goes unmarried), +21 kids when they are grown up, + lets say 5 companions. Once your kids marry, this grows even further. I'm playing the banner kings mod, and I have about 60 troops, a decent amount of money, and I'm finally tier 1 clan. I'm riding around but the imperial area I started in won't let me join on as a mercenary even though they're at war. Since it's a variation of sandbox, there's no main quest to follow, so I'm a bit at a loss. Hey so I've really only used Steam mods, but I thank to get the game of thrones mod. Are nexus mods easy to download? Using ModDB for warband was always hit and miss if they worked or not. Just got a PC in may and bannerlord has been my favorite game. Need someone to compile all the worthwhile overhauls that are currently out as when you look it up half of what you get are works in progress and the other half are for warband. Then those are split 50% between wabbajacks and nexus. So I’m not a story player, I’m sure a lot of people aren’t. I just love booting up a game and slaughtering people who defy me. But I have rebuilt what the empire but I was wondering what all it canonically controlled. So I was wondering if the Empire only controlled the empire culture cities, or the entire continent of Calradia, because the opening sequence and dialogue makes it seem like the entire continent was under Imperial control, but also the gameplay implies the empire only controlled the 3 factions involved in the civil war. I decided to really make a kingdom before being forced into the conspiracy because this is my second campaign and I'm already aware how much of a slog it will be if I just go in unprepared. This is a little bit of a rant what's the point of the different mercenary clans having custom troop trees when all of their parties are just gonna end up being 100% imperial archers for some unknown reason anyway. So my this is my first run of the game and in my current game state all of the Empire factions have been just about wiped out. The Vlandians are the strongest, with the Khuzaits, Battanians, and Aserai right behind them. The only other weaker faction left is Sturgia, who has been getting eaten bit by bit by vlandia all game. Now, I pay absurd tribute to the four strongest clans so they don’t just crush my borders (most of my fiefs are in the middle of the map, it was the only choice I had). I’ve learned now that my clans couldn’t do anything meaningful because they’ve been in debt. The clan with the most fiefs in my kingdom is nearly 4 million in debt, a number which I can’t even fathom what to do about. I managed to get another clan out of debt, but they’re sinking back in it because I can’t stipend them constantly. A third clan of mine joined the kingdom recently and was free of debt but is now also falling into it. All of these mentioned clans have holdings that are basically all c...

I just started got a few hours into Old Realms and I noticed that there wasn't a very big variety of quests. I was mostly looking at the Gang related quests just cause i know in vanilla those are some easier ones to complete. Specifically i was looking for some "Gang Needs Recruits", "Gang needs weapons", or "gang leader needs help setting their buddies free from a hideout" Are these quests disabled by default? Am i just getting really unlucky? is there a way to allow more types of quests in one of the setting.xmls? So far so good but despite my success in winning wars I can never convince anyone to betray their lords. It seems these speech checks are rigged to fail. Seems like the only way to actually get the unique troops (like Triarii and Puppeteers) are by recruiting them from your prison pool. I really wish you could recruit them just by interacting and paying a sum for their recruits. Also are they expensive? Anyone else feel like not having ambushes is such a missed opportunity? I mean Battania's entire faction troop tree is specialized for light hit and run tactics and yet the game doesn't even have that option... Battania's involvement during "Neretzes' Folly" was literally an ambush on the Imperial Vanguard. Its in the lore! Plus it would be very useful if a smaller force could ambush a larger force and whittle down their numbers and withdrawal or just destroy them entirely. It would be fun to fight on both sides of an ambush too. And no, siege ambushes don't count. I'm talking about Teutoburg Forest level ambush. I’ve invested 1500+ hours into Warband over the course of my 27 years of life. Only other game I may have put more hours into is World of Warcraft. I was beyond excited to play Bannerlord as it got closer to release… yet I’ve put barely 20ish hours into it in the 5 years it’s been available, and I don’t know why I just can’t get into it. At first I figured it would have been the Sturgians because they seemed like a very infantry focused faction like how the the Battanians are a archer focused faction and I can say the easily have the best archers. RBM introduces cutting arrows in addition to the piercing ones. Most troop trees go from cutting arrows at the low tiers and upgrade to bodkin (pierce) arrows later on. Pierce damage has always been superior to cut and that's why cut damage usually has a higher base damage score. Fians (including champs) have the opposite progression. They have P damage from tier 2 to 4 but at tier 5 they trade them in for barbed arrows. While the base damage goes up from 110 to 135, cut damage is so much worse against armored troops it serves as a huge nerf. I tested in custom battles and their performance is disappointing. Dismounted Druzhinnik Champions solidly beat Fian Champions. Dismounted Khan's Guards absolutely annihilated the fian champions. Imperial t5 archers beat regular fians in a close fight. Asurai Master archers absolutely stomped the regular fians. The tide however turns if you use t4 archers. Battanian Heros won vs Asarai Experienced archers and imperial veteran archers. ...

Weird glitch forced me to repeat conversations if I decided to keep a prisoner. I could only proceed by freeing them. This happened to all 6 prisoners. At this point, all 3 kingdoms were at war with each other (Western Empire, Sturgia, Khuzaits). When we, the Western Empire, captured a Khuzait City, there were Sturgian prisoners in the keep. Did a story ran playthrough and was really fun! Centers around Mericor dey Corvand, a noble from House dey Corvand, originally descended from Osric Iron Arm as a “bastard son” familial line. However, Baldrim dey Corvand found out the true secret that the REAL bastard family line was none other than House dey Meroc, it turns out in order to succeed to the throne, Derthert’s grandfather killed Mericor’s great grandfather after Osric died in battle, he later swayed the scheme to say that Mericors great grandfather tried to attack him, so he acted in self defense. Anyways the family line stayed but was outcasted and their lands removed. Once Baldrim found out, he and his wife were killed by assassins. His dying words were to tell Mericor the tale and hand him Osric Iron Arms sword, Ironfang (it was hidden along with the information, Baldrim stole it from the coffers of Sargot to prove his claim.) Mericor was furious, depressed, and blood lusted. He later raised enough money from merce...

So i got bannerlord on steam a few days ago and i was playing all good getting around 120 fps on the map and aroud 90 fps on battle. Thing is one day i noticed my fps dropped almost half, to be exact: From 180ish on main menu to 120 From 120 to 60 on map from 90s to 50s on battle cant remember how but i managed to actually have both kapersky and windows defender disabled at the same time (windows defender process wasnt even running on the task administrator) and my fps went back to normal, doubled up. now the other day i messed around with the kapersky panel and when i closed the program, the windows defender started to work again (no longer the windows defender icon would be yellow on the system tray, but now green) its process started again on the task manager, often being on first or second place of RAM memory usage. And to my surprise after this, Bannerlord was running again at the exact same low values i have detailed above (120 main menu, 60 map, and 50ish or even 40s on bat...

So i am talking about a mod that would make it possible to make monarch take all the decisions. Because be it a desert culture or be it a northern culture, in the game they are both ruled with same admin. system. Which is not really realistic, like, is this Switzerland bro? I recently saw a mod for this game that adds conversational ai to the game, even letting quests be started among other things. This got me thinking if maybe this is a good thing to integrate in these kinds of sandbox rpgs where there isn't a fixed story or moving voicelines. First time playing bannerlord or anything mount & blade related, and I've been following the main quest and having a great time fighting my way up in the world. I opted to make my own non-imperial kingdom rather than join one, and my first fief was Balagrad (which I took from rebels). From Balagrad, I then moved to conquer lands of the northern empire, which is what the main quest pushes for. I took Epicrotea and fought off Lucon's army at the gates, where I gained my second (much more prosperous) fief. The problem now is that the Vlandians have shown hyper-aggression towards me, and it is impossible for me to do anything about them. They've taken over the majority of the western half of the map through endless warfare, are the superpower of the game, and for every man I have, they have 12 more.
