Modding for Bannerlord info

I'm seriously looking to get into modding for Bannerlord while waiting for release. What programming language do I need to learn? I think it's safe to say I'd be at a decent level before the game comes out.. Seriously though if anyone can shed some light and give me some advice I'd appreciate it
