Why TaleWorlds chose March 31

Historically, March 31, 1683, Holy Roman Emperor Leopold I and King John III Sobieski of Poland sign a covenant against Turkey, beginning the Holy League. This event sparked The Battle of Vienna. The battle marked the first time the polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and the Holy Roman Empire had cooperated militarily against the Ottomans, and it is often seen as a turning point in history, after which "the Ottoman Turks ceased to be a menace to the Christian world".

The battle is noted for including the largest known cavalry charge in history.

The March 31 , 2020 release of Bannerlord represents the Turkish-based company “Taleworlds” nod to such a grand use of cavalry. Cavalry units are such an integral part of the series, giving the series it’s name “Mount and Blade”. Source

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that? It was a useless topic to discuss, but I kept coming back because I was so hyped about the game and was hoping for more information about it.
