How to improve auto resolve outcomes?

I auto-resolve 90% of the fights I get into, what can I do for better results? Should I find 1-2 companions with high tactics skill and keep them in my party? Will that help? Do I have to assign them into any role? There is no slot for tactics role, is it enough if I just keep them in my party? As for sieges, should I keep a companion with high engineering skill and assign him in the engineering slot? I just simply suck at fighting and I am better at overall map-control. submitted by /u/Horcsogg [link] [comments]

How does the Auto-Calc formula take unique characters(ones who have percentages as health bars) into account?

Someone posted here that the game calculates the party's strength in the following manner: (total troop level+4)^2 / 50.

It's pretty obvious the 'total troop level' would be the sum of soldiers who are active, not wounded and unfit for battle.

However, it gets a little confusing in the context of companions whose availability isn't expressed as an integer(these characters are 'unique' and there is only one of each, so an integer noting their quantities would be unnecessary), but a percentage of their HPs.

Does the game's calculator take their respective levels and calculate their strengths proportional to their respective health percentages? or does it completely ignore their health percentages, so long as they are not 'wounded' and unable to participate in a battle?

Prophecy of Pendor - Early Game Guide

I love PoP and think it's the best thing since Sliced Person, but the early game is bloody brutal, especially if you're used to kicking ass and taking names in M&B vanilla. So I wanted to write an early game guide to share my experience and hopefully help someone else get into the mod without as much agony as I (and many others) experienced. Character Creation - Questions When you start character creation, the game hits you with a bunch of background story questions. My advice is to answer these however you like, building the backstory for your character that interests you and helps get you into the story. However , these questions have serious impacts on the game, most critically whether you can create Knights of the Griffon chapters with just money, and something called the Rumor Interval which sounds irrelevant but is the most important thing ever . Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that? It was a useless topic to discuss, but I kept coming back because I was so hyped about the game and was hoping for more information about it.
