Agility Does Not Impact Attack Speed

All the information out there, including on the Wiki, is incorrect. Agility does not impact attack speed. The only thing that does--other than the speed of the weapon itself of course--is weapon proficiency.

You can test this very easily by exporting and editing a test character.

Leaving 1h proficiency at 80, I set the character to 100 agility. Running speed was very noticeably increased. There was no increase in attack speed.

Not trusting my eyes and accounting for the fact that agility might yet increase attack speed, just by a very small amount, I went ahead and set the character to 1000 agility. Running speed continues to increase even up to 1000 agility, as the character was now comically zooming around like The Flash. However, attack speed was still unchanged.

I then set the character to 0 agility and 699 one hand weapon proficiency. He then moved around like a turtle, but his attack speed was ridiculously fast.

Confirmed, agility does not add attack speed directly as stated in the Wiki.

This is one of several reasons why str is just clearly and vastly better than agi in Warband and needs to be balanced in Bannerlord. Someone new to the game might think because weapon master is an agi skill that someone pumping agi will have higher weapon proficiency than someone pumping str, and so will ultimately attack faster regardless of whether there is a direct increase. But anyone who has played this game as much as I have knows that in practice str characters end up not only enjoying the benefits of power strike, but actually level up their weapon proficiency faster regardless of WM. So a str character ends up hitting harder AND faster.

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that? It was a useless topic to discuss, but I kept coming back because I was so hyped about the game and was hoping for more information about it.
