I’m still a new player at Mount & Blade. My friend has the PS+ catalogue so I gave Warband a shot and liked it, I’ll be sure to play it on PC! I’m interested in buying War Sails. So, I’ve hit 4500 days in Native. I haven’t played any other mod. Spent hours on this one game. Over 120 online hours (way more than that offline).
It was the first character I’d ever started. I finally made my own kingdom, when I had about 40 lords with 100 love for me.
Didn’t take me too long to recruit and dominate. I was the king Of all Calradia.
I indicted all the lords of treason who weren’t 100% in favour of me and split the rest of the fiefs, castles and towns betwixt is all.
Then I thought, what the hey. I inducted them all for treason, and now I was the lord of all Calradia! I was mine!
I went around to every village and built a mill.
Then I went around to every village and built a school.
I was now getting between 15000 and 18000 per pay schedule. I’ve now got 100000+ denars.
But traveller, it was all for nought. The battle was exhilarating, the travelling was insightful, the reading was good. But in the end, was it worth it? My only friends are my long-time, loyal companions. I have no lords, except companions, to quell the rising bandit population.
Did I create a utopia, or an absolute dictatorship mixed with anarchy? I am a wearied man now. Retired from travelling and adventuring. Time to spend time with my wife, whom I’ve only really had a business relationship with since I made her my minister.
Traveller, love your family. Love the journey. What is left after it is all done and concquered?
