Everybody manages to "win" the game

I mean I play it mainly as Role play, so winning it is not my goal, but I definitely want to be successful. Usually, getting first city is pretty hard, because having less than 200 troops, building siege camp, fending off enemy lords roaming around my siege camp requires big heap of luck. Then expanding the kingdom without clans is hard, even with two or three it gets hard against fully established kingdoms. However, weekly I see many posts about finished game, great strategic win, destroying whole kingdoms singlehandedly.... I am by no means beginner, having 2K+ hours in Warband (partially napoleonic wars as regiment member, but still many hours in Floris, Pendor and so on), 700+ hours in Bannerlord. I use Diplomacy, RBM so it is harder, but still... submitted by /u/Top_Leopard_9528 [link] [comments]

I cannot play this game without eventually yelling at my army. I love it.

I honestly think that's what makes this game so good. Just started up a PoP play through for the new update. The first hour will be quite normal and lax...until I start to get troops- and soon enough I'll be running around with my cavalry trying to do some sneaky shit to the heretics and I'll actually be screaming at my armies in some weird British accent in the middle of my home like a child.

"COME ON, MEN"

"TO THE HILLS ARCHERS!!"

"FOR OUR COUNTRY!!!"

(Sometimes "GOD SHITS AT THE KAISER" for my line battle boys)

Or I've set special groups so I can say like "LETHALDIRAN, TO ME!!" And run a archery flank with him on horseback.

It's truly what I really love about warband, the room it leaves for me to imagine something and create something on top (or inside of) the world they've created. Thanks for that.

Prophecy of Pendor - Early Game Guide

I love PoP and think it's the best thing since Sliced Person, but the early game is bloody brutal, especially if you're used to kicking ass and taking names in M&B vanilla. So I wanted to write an early game guide to share my experience and hopefully help someone else get into the mod without as much agony as I (and many others) experienced. Character Creation - Questions When you start character creation, the game hits you with a bunch of background story questions. My advice is to answer these however you like, building the backstory for your character that interests you and helps get you into the story. However , these questions have serious impacts on the game, most critically whether you can create Knights of the Griffon chapters with just money, and something called the Rumor Interval which sounds irrelevant but is the most important thing ever . For a deep read on the subject see the wiki https://pop3.fandom.com/wiki/Character_Creation Or for a quick "Just...

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that? It was a useless topic to discuss, but I kept coming back because I was so hyped about the game and was hoping for more information about it.
