Everybody manages to "win" the game

I mean I play it mainly as Role play, so winning it is not my goal, but I definitely want to be successful. Usually, getting first city is pretty hard, because having less than 200 troops, building siege camp, fending off enemy lords roaming around my siege camp requires big heap of luck. Then expanding the kingdom without clans is hard, even with two or three it gets hard against fully established kingdoms. However, weekly I see many posts about finished game, great strategic win, destroying whole kingdoms singlehandedly.... I am by no means beginner, having 2K+ hours in Warband (partially napoleonic wars as regiment member, but still many hours in Floris, Pendor and so on), 700+ hours in Bannerlord. I use Diplomacy, RBM so it is harder, but still... submitted by /u/Top_Leopard_9528 [link] [comments]

Looking for mod with little cavalry and better sieges

So after trying out Native and a few other mods (Native Expanded, Diplomacy, a bit of 1257 Anno Domini, Brytenwalda), I've found that I really like the general vibe and gameplay of Native Expanded, but it still bothers me a bit that cavalry is still so overpowered, and there's no real reason to recruit anything else than only Swadian Knights late game. I'm looking for something more infantry based, maybe even being on foot myself, since you can just circle looters endlessly in the early game, and I think it's more fun to be a real soldier on the battlefield.

Also, it'd be nice if the sieges were improved a bit, and wasn't just an entire army trying to fit on a ladder.

Are there any mods that fit these criteria that you can recommend? I honestly thought about just making a mod that removed all horses from the game.

Prophecy of Pendor - Early Game Guide

I love PoP and think it's the best thing since Sliced Person, but the early game is bloody brutal, especially if you're used to kicking ass and taking names in M&B vanilla. So I wanted to write an early game guide to share my experience and hopefully help someone else get into the mod without as much agony as I (and many others) experienced. Character Creation - Questions When you start character creation, the game hits you with a bunch of background story questions. My advice is to answer these however you like, building the backstory for your character that interests you and helps get you into the story. However , these questions have serious impacts on the game, most critically whether you can create Knights of the Griffon chapters with just money, and something called the Rumor Interval which sounds irrelevant but is the most important thing ever . TaleWorlds Forums

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that? It was a useless topic to discuss, but I kept coming back because I was so hyped about the game and was hoping for more information about it.
