I have a nice wife, a nice fief too, a castle on a hill with a magnificent view. I have fertile lands, and villages that thrive, hundreds of troops who somehow stay alive. My coffers are heavy, my warband is fed, my enemies see my banner and occasionally drop dead. I have horses and armor, silver and grain, a hall full of nobles complaining again. By every measure, I’ve won at this game. I’ve conquered, grown wealthy, and built up my name. Yet I stand on my battlements when the campaigning is done, watching the mountains fade with the sun. My wife is beside me. My kingdom is strong. My vaults overflow. But something feels wrong. There is no such thing as bannerlord being finished. You can't finish a game like this. It's a massive sandbox which the devs could keep developing for literally decades. Talewords has stated that they are going to release bannerlord when it's complete, but bannerlord will not ever be complete.
Look at dwarf fortress. It's been in development for 12 years, and the dev still says it's nowhere near finished and there are many more things he wants to release.
This is how bannerlord is going to end up if talewords waits to release bannerlord until it's finished. It's literally just going to go on forever. This isn't a story game with a clearly defined ending, this is a massive unending sandbox game which can be built on and built on for as long as the developer wants. This kind of game isn't simply "finished", it's feature complete when the dev is done with it.
Please, just release the damn game already. At the very least as an early access. Talewords is never going to get in a state where they feel the game is done, they're just going to keep adding shit for decades until they realize they can't possibly do this longer. Even if things are missing, so what? You can add it in a later update. Nobody will be mad if you release the game now, we've been waiting for 7 years now.
