Anybody know how to fix TV static water on low graphics?

A licensing question: part of Warlords appears to use cRPG's GPL-licensed code

I'm not part of either team — just someone who cares about open-source modding and went looking into something. I want to be careful and fair, so to be clear up front: this is about one specific component , not a claim that the whole mod is copied. The short version cRPG is open-source under the GPLv3 . Anyone can use its code — the only condition is that if you ship it, your project stays open-source and you credit the original. Warlords is closed-source, and it ships one component copied from cRPG : the friendly-fire reporting system (the thing that tracks team-hits, lets victims report, and kicks repeat offenders). The internal structure is cRPG's, just with the visible chat messages reworded. Most of Warlords is its own work — this is about that one system, nothing more. I'd rather undersell it than overstate it. And if I've gotten something wrong here, Warlords devs — I'd genuinely want to hear it; this isn't meant as an ambush. Why I'm confident T...

Little bit of a unique situation (Marriage)

So I found this woman called Siga, I told her I'd marry her but I couldn't find her brother Olek to finalise the marriage. In the meantime I ran into another woman called Idrun... I liked her more. So I told her I'd marry her too... turns out she's Olek's daughter, lol. Problem is, now when I finally found Olek, the only option to show up is "finalise marriage with Siga." but I don't want Siga anymore... I tried offering him Nogand my brother instead but I can't afford that. I looked closer and it turns out Siga is like 40. That's no good to me. Idrun is like 21, way better for having an heir. What can I do?? submitted by /u/AlHufflepuff [link] [comments]

What the hell did they do to Fennagan?

Bro used to have 275 in every combat stat and now he has… 50 two handed? 120 athletics? Only Daughters?

Finally started building my clan up but I’m 6 for 6 on daughters so far. I’ve had 2 daughters and both of my brothers have 2 daughters each. This seems kinda improbable? Is there a reason no sons have been born in the clan? submitted by /u/shawc98 [link] [comments]

Murder Plot in the land of Vlandia

In my current WarSails playthrough, I spent 10 years mastering trade to level 330, as a rich independent landholder, I decided to join Vlandia. Poopy Ass Game

Tried to get back into this game and made a new character, after not having the time or energy to care to play for a few months. Upon revisiting, I have no idea why I ever invested a substantial amount of time in this SLOP. Its honestly ass. Movement? Ass. Combat? Shit. Horseback Combat? Fucking retarded. Enemy AI? Spammy mongoloid shortbus riding degenerate fucking bullshit. I didn't have a job when I got into the game, so I wasted time on Warband. I guess I was just THAT bored without a job, because playing this now is just an all around poor experience. I struggle to understand how I found hard closing/ reloading the same save multiple times to avoid retarded RNG related events entertaining. The game was promptly uninstalled before another 5 fags with bowl cuts managed to swarm me in the melee arena. Fuck Warband. I dont care what version you like whether its vanilla, modded, or even the rare shoved up my ass and turned counter clockwise 4 times. I dont care. This video game is ...

I Tested My New Warhorse and Banner Colors in a Full Field Battle

I tested my new warhorse and banner colors in a full open-field Bannerlord battle. No siege walls this time, no bridge trap, no narrow gate fight. Just cavalry movement, infantry pressure, arrows flying, and the army colors standing out across the battlefield. The new horse made the whole battle feel more personal, especially with the banner colors matching the army’s visual style. Do you care about matching horse, armor, and banner colors in Bannerlord, or do you only focus on stats and tactics? submitted by /u/ShieldwallWalker [link] [comments]

Do you guys still play Warband

Ngl Warband's world feels more alive to me. Especially when it comes to dialogues Bannerlord feels so empty but warband had personality. Also stuff Like unique companions, different lord personalities, ability to ask other lords where they are (this might seem like a small issue in bannerlord but when it comes to that neretzes quest it's really a big deal lol) even quests are better in warband, like training villagers so they can fight with bandits, or saving a girl from bandits. I helped a village once, and the villages lord told me stuff like 'that was my village if they need anything they should come to their lord not you' (I don't remember the exact words but it was something along this line) also one of my biggest issue with Bannerlord is that companions are so bad. While in bannerlord each of them had their own personalites they had friends, haters, in the group. Sometimes they would fight and bring that to you. When traveling they would talk about the p...

The AI it's even worse if in numerical superiority

I noticed that the only reason my 300 fian champions can beat 1000+ imperial armies suffering very few losses is that the AI breaks the lines and charges you in loose formation leaving every side open to arrows. I'm playing bannerlord difficulty and I think fians would win anyway even if the imperials would move in shield wall but I would be suffering far more losses - at the actual point they lose half of their infantry before the melee impact. It's fun enough because I don't have to raise an army and I can solo everyone but I wish they fix this submitted by /u/Dragon6_ [link] [comments]

This was one of my latest Bannerlord siege battles. The Vlandians held the city for a while, but once the black-gold army pushed through the walls, the fight turned into a full close-quarters assault. I also tested one of the new special horses I’ve been working on during this battle. confused on how to progress at the mid-late game

i've got SO much money, i'm a lord with a few towns that help break well over even with all my enterprises, i can relatively handle myself on a battlefield with my giant ass swadian knight regiment. there's two rotating wars with the vaegirs and kanate i'm taking GREAT monetary advantage of. how do i take all of this LITERAL power and turn it into governance power? i'm quite good friends with the marshal of swadia, but what can i work towards to start making some shit work for ME? submitted by /u/lonkman12 [link] [comments]

I am so fed up with this late game bullshit.

Not the first post on this topic, but I have over 40 vlandian lords in my dungeons, and my vassals undoubtedly have plently too. I just destroyed four 1000 doomstacks in a row, but oops! looks like fifty familys are sending out their daughters with no combat experience at all to siege a castle with highly trained troops that materialized out of thin air. yes, i know about beheading, but I am playing the good guy this time, so i have level two honor, generosity, and level one of every other positive trait. So what the actual fuck am I supposed to do about this? Win battle after battle till my dungeons are completely full, until fifteen clans suddenly have fourty long lost cousin's grandma's dog's caretakers that have the ability to summon troops from the dead? Is there a mod similar to Banner Kings or Rome at War-like from Warband?

With Banner Kings being discontinued, and not finding a mod set in the our world's classical historical time period, I am searching for something spicy. I've already seen the one set in Ancient, pre Imperial, Calradian era. As mentioned, I am looking at similar but with it being set along the coasts of Mediterranean basin, possibly including the Levant and Mesopotamia. It could also begin in any period around the Bronze Ages to Early Iron Ages. Hope this sets the mark. Happy to read any of your recommendations! Thank you in advance. P.S: Not interested in Warhammer or any of the other full fantasy modifications, although tLoTR and something post apocalyptic could be an exemption. submitted by /u/OneLustfulCount [link] [comments]

Marriage mechanics are horrendous

I’m sure I’m not the only one that has complained on here about this but the marriage system drives me insane. I’m on console so no mods. I took the crazy amount of patience for the first time in this play through for my kids to age up and now that they’re 18 I wanted to find them wives close in age. You’re telling me that If I want to marry them to the same culture or another specific culture that I have to track down a clan where the oldest unmarried clan member is close to 18? I’m trying to marry my first son to an empire culture woman and every clan I’ve checked has a 30+ year old unmarried member rotting around preventing it. It feels so stupid and unrealistic and something they could’ve easily changed to make sense or be better for gameplay sakes. My only options would be to hope the older unmarried ones get imprisoned or something to make them ineligible but how am I supposed to monitor that across multiple clans with eligible wives, or I can hope I get offered one by chance but...

I recently got into this game and got hooked with just the Vanilla. After trying some mods the game got 100 times better and now I can’t put it down. Buying the world

I started with the Aserai as a vassal and was given a good chunk of the Southern Empire as feifs being an empire culture character. I guess I got lucky but the Aserai decided to only fight the western empire for years and I took the time to get my trade up to the max to buy settlements which was a major pain. I was able to manipulate votes to go back to war with the south and took a few more towns and castles which were thankfully all voted to me somehow. By then I was making $30k+ a turn with a few million in the bank I left the Aserai and paid the $1 million for peace. Thanks to the Khuzait and Aserai for taking a few of the north, south, and some of the western empires fiefs, I’ve been able to buy up towns and castles for cheap. At this point I can just wait in town for income and keep buying them up until I can buy the whole world. I know this strategy has been around for a while but I haven’t tried it yet but it’s been pretty fun. submitted by /u/PassOnInTheWin...

Are there any working expansive Calradian map mods?

I am aware there are plenty of game overhauls, such as the Europa 1300, Forgotten Realms, etc but are there any solid overhauls that stick to Calradia by making it bigger with more factions and the like? Army Disband Notification

Whenever I have an army, it will often disband during sieges and such. I know you can add army cohesion using influence - but I don’t want to be monitoring that bar constantly. Either I have to babysit it, or I forgot and my army disbands at the worst time. Does anyone else wish there was a popup or something like “your army is about to disband, do you want to add more cohesion?” Seems like a super obvious QOL change submitted by /u/Schkubert [link] [comments]

Why is AI so dumb

Why is the kingdom I’m apart of so dumb. They just took the castle at the top of the image. Then when the enemy army is coming for them they leave and run up a mountain, instead of staying in the castle or running to the city below them. Like why is the AI so dumb sometimes. I can’t even get to a spot to help them. submitted by /u/xminkaify [link] [comments]

I like how the Nord Troops and Lake Rats units have differences in gear between each troop.

I noticed this on Nord troops like the Huscarl and Sky Gods Chosen but didn’t realise until now that this also happened with the Lake Rats. I love this small detail because it reflects how real troops and soldiers would grab the best gear they could from dead enemies. I honestly wish that this was something every faction or culture did because it reflects military and armour culture in the medieval period very well. submitted by /u/Asleep-Strawberry429 [link] [comments]

Companions build

Hi, firstly I want to ask if u guys having this problem I enjoy the hunting bandit and doing quests in the early stage (2-3 first years) so after a while of playing, towns and villagers rarely pop out any quest for me (currently 1.4.5) Now to my main wonder, how do you guys build captain companions, I have a mod which let me using companions to train in arena with full xp gain so no problem of training their combat skills. Dumbfounded

The 1.4.15 update, as i understand it with my limited knowledge, nerfed cavalry in AI vs AI battles, so Khuzaits and Vlandians, in this playthrough, haven't steam rolled anyone. But to think Caladog could get those dirty tree fuckers to actually push to the western sea is mind boggling to me. Even Husn Fulq has stayed Aserai this whole time. I think the change they made makes the game more unpredictable, and more interesting in the long run. Really like this update so far TW, thank you. Now just unfuck smithing stamina so I dont take a whole ass year to get 20 levels and I'd be truly thankful. submitted by /u/RamshackleHunt22 [link] [comments]

So here's my idea for something to expand the "endgame": Continental Invasions and Campaigns.

Once you reach a certain year or your faction grows to a certain point, the map every few years gets invaded from factions outside Calradia in the form of giant groups of migrating armies. In the first wave they are too big for most factions to deal with, but after each successful siege or when cohesion falls apart, the army splits up into two, halving each time until they reach 400-500ish size. The first invasion of each one triggers a quest which let's you travel to the land they came from, where your mission is to find out why the migrations are happening and how to gain the ability to predict them, stop them before they reach Calradia or maybe even end them completely. Migrating armies have no special penalties except the normal culture debuff, but *you* have penalties in their region. Increased food consumption, morale cap, no one trusts you and to trade with settlements, your faction either have to own them or you have to do quests etc to increase relations with them first....

Questions about Warsails perk interactions land vs sea

The new mariner perks seem likely to only work in sea battles, but what about the old perks on the sea? If I put a companion in charge of a boat, do their captain perks apply to all the units on that boat? Some sea perks apply on land, specifically governor perks, do any others? Where do my non-assigned companions go in sea battles? I see them get kills, so they are presumably on a boat, but what determines which boat they go on? Can I put all my companions in one boat (aside from taking just one boat)? Is there a way to assign a companion to the ballista? For boat captains, do boatswain and shipmaster have any bearing on how they drive the boat? As in, will they be more effective when given the skirmish command if they have higher boatswain or shipmaster skill? Will they be more likely to use a ship's ram? Any good info dumps or youtubers with hyper focused details about Warsails mechanics? submitted by /u/fredlosthishead [link] [comments]

HEL0P NEEDED with game crashing

Hi all. I've been playing Bannerlord pretty much from it's beginnings on and off and pretty much always with some amount of mods installed, and never really had any issues. Now I've decided to return to bannerlord after the War Sails dlc. I've installed the 1.4.5 and 1.2.5(warsails) versions and modded the game with a guide from the video - The ONLY Modlist You Need for Bannerlord (50 Mods, 100% Stable) by Strat Gaming Guides. I haven't installed all the mods from the guide but installed some of my own. Needless to say first few attempts to lunch the game were unsuccsessful. In the beginning the game wouldn't load at all, after removing some mods I was able to get into the campaign map but was running into the issue of game crashing during the dialogues (Turns out the issue was the Family Matters mod). I was happy when I've sorted out those crashes and was hoping I'd be able to play normally, but it turns out the game now crashes when trying to enter t...

Is there some canon or game design rationale for why wanderer skills are so bad

It seems like they double downed on this where most wanderers feel like jacks of all trades and masters of none. That would be fine in a game with plentiful points, but they are often spread so thin and so badly that I rarely see these guys level up. Only the most focused wanderers make progress in stuff like medicine and scouting, but I sorta need them to participate in combat, partially to level. It's not a big deal as I use character reload now and move the points around, but it's strange to me that someone would go through the pain of learning throwing, polearm, one handed, crossbow, bow, and 2 handed when you can only carry so much and when I meet them they have a single rusty one handed weapon. But really, maybe there's a reason for this in a gameplay sense that I just don't understand. What's the deal? submitted by /u/syd_fishes [link] [comments]

Does RBM affect the Scorpion siege weapons ?

So in a battle I was noticing that my scorpions weren't doing shit, so I manually took over and noticed that my rounds were falling short so I thought alright no big deal, readjusted and after some difficulty i drilled one guy and he shrugged it off ate a scorpion bolt and lived and did like maybe 30 damage no stronger than like a regular arrow. Vassal armies

My vassals don’t seem to make armies, even when I’m fighting a 4 front war? Is it because I just don’t have many vassals? I was a vassal for the aserai, started a abdication faction, and won the civil war (can’t remember the mod) managed to get these guys in my side, but whenever I’m in a war now, nobody starts an army, nobody seems to have any involvement in the war whatsoever. Is there a policy I need to enact? Or do I just need more vassals? Funny issue with Player built settlement and upgradeable workshop mods.

I made a city with a few adjacent villages. Due to some bug or mod incompatibility when you create villages the resource you choose doesn't go through (iron ore selection turns to gold, wheat to beeswax etc). I have upgradeable workshops in this city too and despite the absolutely bustling economic activity, it seems virtually no funds are added to the town treasury. I am not complaining about this at all, I just think its funny to see so much work to happen for 25 gold submitted by /u/AHumbleSaltFarmer [link] [comments]

Does anyone know which mod this is? Seems to improve the visuals and placement of soldiers in battle as well as better options for sorting divisions

https://youtu.be/spo-oizww\_g?si=lBwxwBHZYfAZ2Bf8 This is just one random example but you can see that instead of flags for troop placement there is well defined green circles. Also, at the top you can see a different UI for swapping troops between divisions, does anyone know which mod or mods these are? Ideally for 1.3.15. Also if you have any recommendations for other mods that improve your control over troops in battle, please, vanilla kinda sucks in this regard. Tips and tricks.

Lets trade some tips at tricks. I'll start off with a couple. Make sure you get the perks that let you donate weapons/armor to troops. After battle make sure you loot everything. Afterwards go recruit to replace your casualties, go to your inventory screen, select either weapons or the armor tab, then press the arrow button. It will automatically donate enough equipment to fully level up all your new troops. Go to party screen, level up troops, then back to inventory. Repeat until you have the desired troop types and tiers. Never send again send poorly armed peasants to their deaths. Play as a mercenary at the beginning, prioritizing defending villages and NEVER raid. This gets your tons of relations with the village owners. Release captured enemy lords to make friends on both sides. Rotate from faction to faction until everyone is your friend. Then you can have your pick of clans when you eventually start your own faction. submitted by /u/ultr4violence [lin...

What is up with clans deserting?

I’ve had NINE clans leave my kingdom(Sturgia as vassal) taking upwards of at least three fiefs with them, not only leaving, but joining the nations WE ARE AT ACTIVE WAR WITH and balkanizing our territory. This has happened every single time we manage to get back finally into a good position as well. To add to that, every single one of these clans has three or in one case SIX fiefs, is a very rich or rich clan as well. Is anyone else experiencing this? Executing the killer of your main char should not affect you at all

I was having a good day, winning battles left and right till I fucked up and lost one. To my surprise, instead of the usual 'you are a prisoner now' screen I got the execution screen and unfortunately my head rolled off (donno the f his problem was, I never executed anyone before)... I took control of my loyal wife, captured the mf and executed his ass. Instantly, I lost my honorable trait... Cmon, taking revenge on the killer of ur main char should really not affect you at all. Also, I talked to other lords and they didn't even comment on what had happened, it would have been great to see a few 'wow, so you have finally taken revenge on that king that killed your husband'. Nope, not a single mention of it. It wouldn't take too much for the devs to add a few lines here, it would help so much with the rp aspect. submitted by /u/Horcsogg [link] [comments]

(I played very slow, we are on the 5 going on 6th generation) so Greg VI is going to marry the last remaining member, will i get the fief or should i buy it back before my current ruler dies? submitted by /u/Longjumping_Usual895 [link] [comments]

Question about new playthrough for warsails

So as stated above, I have just started a fresh playthrough as I have just bought the warsails expansion, I’m not a experienced player by any means maybe 3 playthrough at most, never completed all usually the same kind of run. This time I am wanting to become a merc for the first few ingame years but I have no idea how to really be a merc, so what do you guys do? what troops? what kind of battles do you take part in? do you raid villages siege castles or just go after smaller parties? It seems my contract is never higher than my daily party wages and most enemy lords have decent troops whereas I have mostly tier 2 infantry archers and a few Calvary so going after them usually ends with me in chains hahahah any advice would be much appreciated thanks in advance! submitted by /u/Mobile-Ad-697 [link] [comments]

This Village Can Not Be THAT Important

It's a dogshit militia and some locals but more they have literally been mass recruited. Guess the Empire is tired of their villages getting raided. submitted by /u/Solenopsis00 [link] [comments]

Modding

Quick question for you all. Soon I'm going to, finally, be getting a proper PC. However, I'm not well versed in modding. If I want to mod the game, and games in general, is it better to get the game on steam or from the Taleworlds website? submitted by /u/bigboiminecrafter [link] [comments]

Is the game getting better or worse?

From what I read in this forum, most people critize the updates since the DLC heavily. It seems like those patches make the game worse rsther than better - like with tbe last patch where they removed the bonus from defending sieges and some other siege mechanics. And apoatebtly keep 'fixing' things that noone needed fixed, instead of implementing QoL stuff or deeoer mechanics (e.g. actual diplomacy ). What are the the good patches since the DLC - apart from naval warfare - that have be implemented? And what are the worst changes? submitted by /u/Cordoban [link] [comments]

Does War Sails still remove detail from the map

I saw the original release comparison pictures which showed the removal of certain map details like river textures, rocks, waterfalls, shoreline textures. I was hoping someone could confirm if those are all still noticable or if anything has been improved for the overworld map edits. I know the changes to geography are neccessary but I am still hesitant to get the dlc if it makes the map ugly submitted by /u/ChrisTheWhitty [link] [comments]

Infantry being added to archer formation?

Curious if anyone has gotten the bug I've been experiencing. I was running two infantry divisions (1&2) and two archer divisions (3&4) roughly 50/50 on each split and both groups separated by having/not having shields (lots of sky gods). At some point I was outnumbered and combined the infantry into one division and left the archers split in two. Since then, half of my infantry has been stuck with one of the archer formations when I'm preparing for battle. I've tried switching all the divisions, combining everyone into one archer/infantry mixed division and then separating, but half the infantry seem to just follow around the archers. The infantry division had the slider set to 100%, but it was showing 120/240 soldiers. And one of my two archer divisions had over 300 soldiers and the other one had around 150 with the slider set to 50%. Just a very strange situation, wasn't sure if anyone else has experienced it or knows how to fix it. submitted by ...

Finding Companions Is Miserable

Been trying to find Koleg the Bloodaxe for the last 20 minutes with no luck He’s Sturgia culture so I asked the tavern keeper in every Sturgian city if they know of a lieutenant but none mentioned him, so then I went to the taverns of a lot of cities of different culture to see if they heard of him, which they haven’t So I decided to go back to Sturgia and ask them about owners of the towns to see if he’s apart of their clans.. which he wasn’t, and so I checked the clans that own Sturgian castles to see if he was apart of them.. he wasn’t. So now I’m out of ideas and have no idea how to find him apart from encountering him by chance. I did however end up with information regrading other characters which will be useful to me down the line, but I want fucking Koleg Would genuinely be great if you could bookmark a character and pay a tavern keeper for example if they have heard anything about X character, with a chance they haven’t heard of them Because right now I’m getting the loc...

No India based mod?

Warband honestly deserves a FULL Indian history mod on the level of 457 A.D. India has one of the most insane settings possible for Mount & Blade and somehow nobody has made a polished total conversion yet. Think about it: Massive kingdoms like the Mughals, Marathas, Rajputs, Sikhs, Mysore Elephant warfare Matchlocks, cannons, curved swords, armored cavalry Huge fort sieges inspired by real Indian forts Political betrayals between nawabs, emperors, and the East India Company Dense cities, deserts, jungles, mountains Naval trade on the Indian Ocean Persian, Turkic, Indian, and European influences all mixed together Warband mods like 457 A.D, Gekokujo, and Viking Conquest prove that historical conversions can become legendary if enough effort goes into atmosphere and worldbuilding. Honestly surprised the community never fully committed to it. submitted by /u/Cautious-Pie-5714 [link] [comments]

Dragon Banner

Is there no way to make peace once the quest starts? I am fighting 3 enemies at the same time surrounded by everyone. This quest is such bs. I was making good progress with valndia and first I had to do all these side quests of catching caravans and what not that are incredibly annoying. Then sturgia and the kuzhait declare war on me submitted by /u/DICKINSON44 [link] [comments]

I have a problem with javelins

I started my game a while ago (on Bannerlord difficulty) and I've made good progress. I have some of the best armor in the game and excellent stats. BUT, in every battle, siege, or naval engagement, even the weakest javelin can halve my health or kill me in one hit. Arrows do the same, but deal slightly less damage, and simple peasants can take me down in a dozen hits. So imagine what it's like against elite troops, unless I spend the entire battle hiding behind my shield like a coward. I'd really like to know if there's any way to counter this, improve my resistance, or anything else... as long as I don't die instantly. submitted by /u/Optimal-Draw5327 [link] [comments]

Constant Wars

I’m sure this gets brought up a million times a day on here but I need to rant before I absolutely blow my top off😂I am absolutely obsessed with everything medieval. I play Chivalry 2, Medieval Dynasty, For Honor, and in most games that allow a sword in a gunfight, I bring a sword. That being said, I just started Bannerlord a week ago and have been utterly obsessed. I’m on Xbox and I stopped playing everything else. Up until now.. I cannot in good faith keep playing this game. I’m part of the Khuzaits and Monchug, the moron he is, keeps declaring war on the southern and northern empire at the same time. He’s done this my entire playthrough so we’ve taken quite a bit of their land. On paper, the game says we’re immensely more powerful. We have almost “16,000 troops” more than them. And yet, our little Monchug keeps declaring war constantly, never forms armies, so I’m forced into stopping what I’m doing to lead massive pushes into their territory. But because it’s both north and south, ...
