What are the amazing, game fixing mods I hear about?

So many reviews I see talk about "game only good with mods" kind of rhetoric. All I can find that seem truly mandatory are diplomacy and dismemberment. RBM looks pretty cool but I feel like it's a similar story to Combat Extended in Rimworld... it's mainly for people that literally can't pallete the vanilla offering. I think Bannerlord's combat is awesome so I don't want that changed. I've seen better garrisons but found it confusing and not necessary (to me). I wanted to check out My Little Warband but idk if the new patch has borked it or not so I'm just not going to try. I don't like GOT, LOTR or any total conversion mods really. After the obvious ones, steams top subscribed doesn't really help me in terms of discovery. Anyone help me find the missing pieces? Because if Diplomacy and Dismemberment are the only two that are mandatory, I feel like the base game is actually pretty good and not "only good with mods" submit...

Finishing The Job

So I'm currently contracted as a mercenary. These guys rolled up to siege the castle with about 1400 troops. I slapped them around for a bit before they decided to flee. Sorry to say but Chad wants his loot. submitted by /u/xXRendanXx [link] [comments]

Gun Mods?

I'm looking for a mod or mods that adds guns to the game. I've tried playing EOE 1700 and loved it but despite that I've run into issues. Same as the Americas and one other that's pike and powder. Same kinda bug all around like Lords disappearing, unable to hold fiefs and everything gets steamrolled and just random crashes during loading screens. I understand some bugs are to be expected but just looking for something that can be added to the vanilla banner and not be so buggy. submitted by /u/MagnusDominusAurelio [link] [comments]

Siege Engines, Broken Walls, and My Horse Kestane

This was one of the most chaotic mounted siege fights I have recorded in Bannerlord. Once the siege engines opened the way, I stayed on Kestane and followed the assault into the fort instead of dismounting. Fighting through the defenders on horseback was difficult, but it created some unexpectedly cinematic moments. Kestane is the chestnut warhorse I used throughout this battle. Would you stay mounted here or dismount before entering the fort? submitted by /u/ShieldwallWalker [link] [comments]

I left because it got to a point where more than 1/3 of Aserai strength was just me. Unqid was such a based sultan though.

After yrs of service and defending frontier lands. Aserai nobles grew lazy in their campaigns. Relying only upon the Al Muhajir “the immigrant” to turn the tides, and take home the tributes. As Al Muhajir’s villages burned and Poro starved. They demanded more towns, more sieges from the immigrant general. Knowing that the frontier villages were promised protection by the Emir, with no end insight of the two yr long campaign inside southern empire territory, with wave after wave of guerrilla hit and run from the imperials cutting off the army of supplies. Al Muhajir propose a tribute less peace. But the foolish Aserais blinded by the continuous seige victories, ignoring their depleted frontier villages and garrison. Humiliated the noble frontier general in the kingdom vote. With consultation from his nephews and older brother, Al Muhajir finally chosen to break his oath to the Aserai. As his oath were to the protection of the people. He vouch to create a new emirate at his fron...

Hey folks! Question about War Sails.

I’m still a new player at Mount & Blade. My friend has the PS+ catalogue so I gave Warband a shot and liked it, I’ll be sure to play it on PC! I’m interested in buying War Sails. From what I’ve seen it looks quite fun, but also apparently has some major issues like messing with the map quite a bit. Worth a shot? submitted by /u/podagros [link] [comments]

Me when my child finally comes of age (I’ve been at war for his entire childhood and only wrote letters as to what he should study)

In all seriousness I just thought about this. Like other than staying at the same settlement as your spouse (which he prolly governs) or have her in your party, it’s never like you are actually AT a settlement for any long period of time. Like in GOT, the war came and went. And then afterwords they returned home and raised a family. But sorry little Jimmy. War is all I’ve ever seen since I was your age. Now go command a new party for me and expect an invite to an army I shall command in a month or so. Or go be a governer at this settlement. It just seems funny how much you are NEVER in your children’s lives. Like they probably have seen you maybe a few times for a few days their entire childhood. submitted by /u/Bros118 [link] [comments]

So what's the point of alleys now that sneaking missions exist?

I just came back to the game after a year hiatus, and I'm thrilled they finally actually added mechanics rather than just doing endless bug and balance patches that somehow break every mod with every patch. I discovered the sneaking tutorial, and then found out that basically every stealth kill or every other stealth kill gives a level of roguery. (5 focus points) now I'm wondering what's the point of alleys anymore. They were never particularly good, but at least there was an argument to be made that they increased roguery. But now that I can just go farm hideout stealth missions, earn way more money, keep my companions in my party, and not gain crime in the process, I'm wondering what purpose alleys serve anymore? (Alley income should be ×10 imo) submitted by /u/forfor [link] [comments]

I got my settlement, and learned something new.

So i am playing as Nord and wanted Hargard as my main fief. I had Balgard, but am not a fan of defending that sturgian town. I looked online and found i could either wait for it to be taken and then try to earn it back in a vote, or get to 300 trade skill and buy it off the owner. Figuring how rare I see enemies make it that far north, buying it would be easier. But after a while a clan abandoned the Nord Faction, I was able to take it and win the vote. All in all great for me. What i didnt know though was npc clans can abandon their cultural faction? I thought they could only do that if you made a kingdom of your own submitted by /u/SicEcko [link] [comments]

Justice has been served

I recruited him to vlandia and paid him like 800000 coin for him to not even bring any fiefs over. My brother is married to his daughter so we have good relations and I thought he would help me when derthert dies so I can become king. About 10 in game days later we take a castle and as soon as we give it to him he dips off back to the western empire and takes his castle with him 😂 Do I teach his family and unfortunately my sister in law a lesson or give him one more shot and recruit him again? 😂 I’m thinking he’ll probably just betray me again but I can’t let this go unchecked especially in a roleplay scenario submitted by /u/Distinct-Oil-5653 [link] [comments]

How often are we crashing because of ships and their related systems on console?

Alright so this is basically just me venting and wondering if anyone else is as annoyed as I am. I've been crashing every couple hours on PS5 base, digital. Ain't much but damn, it's just Bannerlord. Every time I have, it's because of ships. I tend to buy my own clan parties' ships personally, upgrade them, then transfer them to whichever party leader needs them. I've crashed at every stage during this process in the last few hundred hours that I've been doing it while playing. I crashed while opening the fleet menu in town. I crashed while buying ships and confirming. (I've been doing one stage at a time recently, to try and mitigate the amount of things the game has to process, and it seemed to have helped, until today.) I crashed while transferring ships. I crashed while upgrading ships. Recently I had one of my party leaders pick up some free ships from a fight with some pirates and I crashed while trying to transfer those to myself to sell while giv...

Is the Warsails tutorial currently bugged? (Latest Version)

I'm trying to play through the Warsails tutorial, but I seem to be completely stuck. After escaping captivity, the quest tells me to meet Gunnar at the harbor in Ostican , but he's nowhere to be found. Talking to the townspeople doesn't help either they don't have any dialogue option to guide me to him. The only way I was able to speak to Gunnar was by bribing my way into the keep (which cost me almost all of my denars) and talking to him there. Later, I ran into the same issue in Omor . Gunnar is standing at the harbor this time, but every time I talk to him he just repeats: "I'm waiting for more news." There are no other quest NPCs at the harbor Gunnar is literally the only one there. To make things worse, after trying to reload earlier saves, my entire game broke with the error: "File read failed. Please try to verify your installation." Verifying files, along with the other fixes I found online, didn't help. I ultimately had to c...

King Alucard is dead! The Staggard of the West has been laid to rest!

King Alucard the 1st of house Meridian “staggard” of the west, Tamer of the northern wilderness, scorcher of the deserts has passed at the age of 70! Pushed the empire all the way out of the game with the southern empire holding just one city (Onika) fully conquered Battania, conquered half of stirgia before turning them into my greatest ally, and stopped the Kuzait expansion by stopping 3 3k man armies in their tracks sending them packing with a force of only 425 men in Tyal! Leaves behind 6 children 4 sons and 2 daughters with 45 family in total. Made 5 companions into lords that are now level 4-5 clans in the realm with my oldest son Eledurn taking the throne now. Long live Alucard! Long live the Stag of the West! submitted by /u/Creedaflea [link] [comments]

Customisation

I think Bannerlord should add more customisation options in aspects like hair, hair color, etc.. Oh and a rework on the banners as well as a armor smith could be great. It certainly would breathe a little more live into the game… submitted by /u/Background-Algae-160 [link] [comments]

Thinking of doing Companion Only

I’m planning to use the Companion Limit Remover, Immersive Recruit Commoners, Marry Anyone, and Dynamic Origins mods on War Sails (all compatible) Since I’ll end up with a massive number of companions, are there any quality-of-life mods that make managing them, their upgrades and armor less of a nightmare? What’s the best way to drain influence from the ruling party? (Specifically derthert)

super niche question here but I’m doing a hostile takeover of Vlandia by draining all the clan’s influence down to 0, expelling them and taking their fiefs. derthert and I are both at 2k influence, and I want to know what the best vote is to start that will make derthert spend more influence than it took to propose the vote. any help is appreciated! submitted by /u/BoxyBannerlord [link] [comments]

Bannerlord's greatest features are your imagination and your own fantasy - How to enjoy Bannerlord again

Why I Still Love Bannerlord Despite Its Flaws Hello everyone I've been thinking about this for a while, and I wanted to share it with anyone who enjoys Bannerlord, or wants to enjoy it more. If you're already having fun throughout the entire game, that's great. This post probably isn't aimed at you. But if you've ever felt that Bannerlord has incredible potential yet somehow loses its magic after the early game, maybe this perspective will help. I completely understand the criticism the game receives. Bannerlord could have been so much more. The quests become repetitive, diplomacy lacks depth, and many of its mechanics never evolve as much as they could. The early game is exciting, the mid game starts to slow down and the late game often turns into a grind. I agree with all of that. And yet... I still enjoy every stage of the game. The reason is simple; I don't rely on the game to tell my story. I create one myself. To me, Bannerlord feels less like a tra...

Crafted weapon bug after loading

Hi, I just encountered this bug. After loading the game my crafted weapons have very small or zero stats. Javelins, 2h swords, 1h swords, polearms, all of them. I've been playing with mods for a long time, but now was the 1st time it happened to me. I saw some posts about this, but haven't found any solution for this. No game fixes, no mods. Do you have any idea how to prevent this bug, or what causes it? Any workarounds? submitted by /u/tothacka [link] [comments]

Why is sending troops while in an army so useless?

Seriously. I do it with independent parties all the time, and I win battles no problem. In the field, I consistently win even when outnumbered, no problem. But when im seizing a town or castle, sending troops to auto resolve is like sending them directly into a meat grinder. I have to have 4× troops or MORE in order to win, and even then I always suffer very heavy casualties. Why the fuck is it like this? It makes zero sense. It is genuinely baffling that I have such a big advantage and still lose when sending troops. I even make sure to have high morale and it still doesn't work most of the time. What sucks is that I really don't want to manually be in EVERY single siege, especially if im at war with multiple kingdoms. Its super annoying that if im in an army, auto resolving is useless. Why isnt it realistic? Like the meter says I have a massive advantage, why the hell am I still losing so much then?! submitted by /u/InteractionPresent66 [link] [commen...

Beat the game with a full map wipe for the first time on realistic

I started off as a pirate joined the Khuzait then defected to form Caliban with Hargard and 3 castles, luckily Sturgia was butchered so I got most of my first lords from them and cannibalized the Nords wile forcing Khuzaits to sue for peace a couple times then rebuilt the northern empire after recruiting most of their lords. Then took over Battania and the Western Empire followed by a blitz on Vlandia's cities after they wasted their initial armies trying to take Dunglanys. Finished off the remaining cities for Khuzaits, then destroyed the Aserai with 35 clans. submitted by /u/Sea-Frame5474 [link] [comments]

This type of moments makes me love this game.

My clan army. Filled with Nord Hascurl and Sturgian Champions are basically my Royal Janissaries and Sipahi. With two armies as my left and right wing. I am sort of playing a Kieven Rus version of the ottoman rise. Where I started as originally Slavic Rus/Sturgian serving sturgia, but due to decades of Nordic invasion, I barely resisting multi coalition invasions. That I eventually left sturgia started the emirate state of Revyl. Where I fought battainan Nordic naval landings. And later started a doom campaign with my 4 sons against the Nords. Now I am second generation with my son taking over. No longer small boarder state between kingdoms. The Groznovid sultanate is formed. (My clan name). And now more than 15 clans from Nords, Battanians, Sturgia, Empire, Valandian have flocked to our dynasty’s service. Here I am leading with my second generation sultan of the north. With 10 social 10 intelligence already, (I am still training his leadership, he is 36). With 3 clan armies e...

Trading settlements should not be locked behind max trade

I think they should rebalance this feature. As of right now I understand because with the perk it’s very easy to just buy your way to ruling calradia. However very often in my play throughs I find myself just cheating to the perk to buy cheap castles bordering my land and the occasional war torn town on discount. I feel like if you’re a famous noble general and extremely wealthy from owned towns you’ve taken by force then bartering for fiefs shouldn’t be locked behind being the best butter trader between towns. I think with some rebalancing it would make more sense to have this accessible once you’re a well established vassal or king. I take long breaks between campaigns so maybe an update added some secret sauce to upping trade fast I didn’t see. A very minor issue to critique and it’s definitely not needed for a good play-through but I feel stupid cheating to max trade for a single perk. submitted by /u/PassOnInTheWind [link] [comments]

Is Warsails worth it?

Hello. I know there were thousands of similar questions, but still, I would like to know your opinion based on my parameters. Firstly I want to say I spent thousands of hours in Warband - that is one of the reasons I would like not to miss any DLC for Bannerlord. Warband was the base game for the whole community, and if there is potential for that in some of Bannerlord's DLC, I would like not to miss it. However, I am not really a fan of naval warfare in general. I prefer land battles, maybe raids from sea, but naval battles seem really limited to small-scale deck skirmishes. What hooks me into Warsails is having a new kingdom. I am no fan of Nords (I am son of Vaegirs), but it seems that it could add a lot of spice into any sturgian game and provide new balance to the game, some new scenarios and alternatives. I am really into roleplay, so the bigger the world, the better. What stops me from Warsails a bit is the fact I am really into mods. I cannot imagine playing without RBM...

I hate the nords (a sturgian's confession)

Every time i fight the Nords as a Sturgian Merc, we're always outnumbered and outclassed. First time I have played in a year...what in the absolute janky hell is this tutorial stealth mission?

I'm not expecting Assassin's Creed, but if Splinter Cell could pull this off two decades ago, come on! So far I have had to repeat the mission three times. 1) jumped over a wall that had no escape route and I couldn't get back over...why not an invisible boundary. 2) an impossible to miss melee hit somehow missed even though I was about to bump the guard. 3) the headman would not follow me despite having a clear path that I walked back and forth multiple times. If I finish this tutorial, do I ever have to do another one of these jankfest stealth missions again? If they are optional, I'll keep playing. But if it is part of the progression, I'm out. I have better frustrations to beat my head into a wall over than this poorly thoughtout and designed system. submitted by /u/hand_truck [link] [comments]

Question for Bannerlord Veterans. Vassal, est your own kingdom or Merc?

I have over 2000 hours in the game (not a flex, just an unhealthy appetite) and I was wondering what you guys do. I found setting up my own kingdom to be a bit of a faff (recruiting lords, etc). And just being a vassal much simpler. What do you guys do? Permanent Merc? Merc up until Clan Tier 6 and then pick a flipped city to setup your own Kingdom? submitted by /u/Business_Cake9012 [link] [comments]

STUCK AT BEGINING OF WARSAILS

I escorted the merchants and fought off two ships in a sea battle . I'm on the Scourge of the Seas quest. It tells me to talk to Gunnar via a golden exclamation point. I go to talk to him and he says thst he is waiting on new." What do I do now? It seems as though there are no obvious prompts and the quest still exists. I need help specifically with advancing this quest...I can't believe I am stuck this early in the game. If anyone has any advice, I'm really desperate. I know how to play Bamnerlord 2 pretty well but this is confusing. submitted by /u/bikegooroo [link] [comments]

Why is the AI so dumb when doing wars?

I play on 1.3.15 After a while of fighting as mercenary for the southern empire I decide to become a vassal. Despite having been losing the war, Rhagea thought it was a good idea to declare war on the northern empire too. And despite getting railed, pounded, and utterly shafted by an unlubed, girthy, spiked shaft she decides to declare war on the Khuzaits. So now we're in a war on three fronts with no feasible way to win. So, thankfully since I play with diplomacy with player diplomacy control on, I force peace, start a rebellion, execute Rhagea, take over as emperor. submitted by /u/RainbowWatermelon203 [link] [comments]

from 4 towns and 6 castles in 1111 to destroyed in little over 2 in game years

Vlandia, the Western Empire and the Northern Empire all joined in on dog piling on them until they were no more. the first kingdom in the playthough to do so submitted by /u/Hella-Lis2 [link] [comments]

Starting location

Is there anyway to change your starting location and not where the tutorial decides? I want to do a nord youth playthrough role playing a viking going to the empire....but would need to start in the north! submitted by /u/HaraldtheVarangian [link] [comments]

Is the Diplomacy mod save game compatible?

I've been playing vanilla warband and I've built myself up pretty good as a vassal of the Vlandians, but I only just found out about the diplomacy mod and the features it adds. Would it be possible for me to download the mod and use it on my current save? submitted by /u/jaden_ro [link] [comments]

Help needed

So I’m currently a vassal for Battania, I’m trying my best to become king and overtake Caladog, I’ve tried ‘the hunting incident’ gave up in the end as he would never permanently die. I also tried following him around until he ended up in a town dungeon but even after setting up contact I have no option to prison break? I’m so confused, am I just going to have to wait till he dies of old age? Getting kind of bored waiting around for him! Any help is appreciated thanks! submitted by /u/Lanky-Confusion-1275 [link] [comments]

The most successful campaign I'm yet to play in Bannerlord. PS5 w/ controller. Just playing the base game but with War Sails installed.

What you're looking at: I just tried taking Charas by siege after assembling an army and having my rival swoop in to steal the glory. The only clan in Battania that hates me for killing Derthert* was gifted Sargot then came in and stole control over the siege I was gonna win. Caladog LOVES me so when Charas was taken I was gifted the city even when I spent influence to vote it went to my rival (who for some reason only judges me on what i did to Valandia)... then rebels took control of Sargot, almost took Charas as well but luckily I had a Valandian companion who I put as governer, put all my Fian Champs and a load of other decent troops in to the Garrison and managed to complete a mission for the only notable in the city who I had a negative relation with. Loyalty was under 20 and dropping at 2 a day... then slowly that dropped to 1 by the time it was at 10... as rebellion will happen at anything under 25 and most of my good troops were committed to the Garrison, it was sque...
