I have been testing quite a bit Naute vs Legionaries as I want to make a Infantry playthrough with Empire only units and I noticed Legionaries are just ass now. Naute even with worse armor just outperform and that even in battles where they are outnumbered and/or fight mixed armies against t5/t4 with archers and cav. So i just started playing Brytenwalda, role playing as a female pict bandit Queen and its going pretty great so far. right now im about ready to start my criminal empire so i got some questions on how to go about that...
First off, is there any way to recruit dena raiders/Frank raiders? i got my relations up with them to like 50 and while they don't attack me i can't hire them either.
If i can't hire them, is there any other way to get a reliable source of qualtiy troops besides villages? i have like -50 relations with every village and town in the game so while getting the relations back up isn't a problem im probably going to face the apocalypse as soon as i start my own faction due to my low right to rule, but that makes it fun right?
Also, it seems like i can trade with bandit hideouts but there is never anything for sale or any money either its completely empty. Was this never implemented?
Lastly, i hear that you can hire frisians in this game like in VC. I tried hiring some in herr hlaw i believe, one of the villages near londinium but i can never seem to get them even with 99 relation. are they supposed to be super rare?
