What "wrong"-cultural armours do you guys wear when playing a different culture?

I know a lot of players don't stick to a monotone cultural getup when they play, but a lot of players probably do what I do; try to stick to culturally appropriate armours and weapons for the culture I am playing. I take this mentality with me to smithing as well, where I try to smith and use weapons that suit my characters culture appropriately. But I have some exceptions; I often use animal pelts for shoulder armour when playing as a Vlandian or Imperial. If I play as a Sturgian I may use some Khuzait armour. And if I play as a mercenary or Lord for a different cultural faction than my character is from, I may use a mix of regional armours and use my own culture for a weapon. Example; I played a Nord corsair mercenary for the Empire. I used gilded scale Imperial armour with gilded scale shoulderguards, golden pirate gauntlets and boots, and a brass Aserai helmet with a Nord one handed sword with gilded pummel and handguard. Anyone else give themselves similar cultural restrict...

Two days with Floris Evolved, things I've learned so far

  1. You want to download and use the "English Troop Names Patch". Seriously.

  2. Even on 1/2 damage, everything except looters will fuck you up. Don't think about accepting a "hunt forest bandits" missions right on start. They also all appear to be better armed now. Yes, I get that this is even harder in the mod Prophesy of Pendor, but I haven't played that yet.

  3. Because of that, you will spend the first hour(s) hitting the gym arena. Fortunately, you can select what weapon you want to spawn with.

  4. With sufficient skill, bows are incredibly strong. In tournaments, you can down the enemy horses in a matter of seconds.

  5. You will learn to love troops with ranged attacks. Use the "follow me" command to get them on a hill and "stand ground".

  6. Do not charge away from your troops as the only mounted fighter. Stay with your troops.

  7. Without explicitly disabling it in the mod options, Bandits will begin to stack up and run around in huge blobs of 150-250 and carry hundreds of prisoners. So far, Harlaus ignores them, I don't know yet what will happen eventually.

  8. You can shortcut to the guild master in a city once you've met him. This is very practical.

  9. You can now buy land in cities and collect rent. This works very similar to buying enterprises in cities.

  10. Your companions now have their own inventory, effectively expanding your own.

  11. Did I mention bandits will fuck you up? Don't try the "train the peasants" quest in a village early, because chances are that dozens of armored, heavily armed and angry bandits will kill you all.
