And I love every improvement or changement so far. Well I am 1 hour into a new campaign but I liked th new stealth system and just looking at the encyclopedia relations seems a bit more complex. Loved also the new small things such as troops shouting down your orders. So far soon cool BUT There is one thing which really suck for me and that is the new light system. I really can't see shit in battles, unless with a sun shining at midday. Other than that impossible to fight in the shadows at dawn or even afternoon. And I can't tell if the ai is better or I simply suck. Please tell me there is a fix to this because battles are just becoming a frustrating nightmare... submitted by /u/Plopita [link] [comments]
For some reason, in any battle where more than perhaps 10 people are participating, the game lags to an absolutely terrible degree. I'm talking single figure FPS numbers and freally frequent freezes where nothing happens for maybe 10 seconds.
I've messed around with the battle size (even on the minimum I get these issues), the battle notifications, graphics, number of visible corpses etc... but nothing affects it in any meaningful way.
My computer isn't exactly the most high-end thing around, but for a game this old it should have absolutely no problem running it. The worst part is I've owned this game for a couple of years now and for I remember large battles being perfectly fine back then. No idea what's happening now but it makes battles completely unplayable.
My specs:
- Processor: AMD FX-6350 Six-core 3.90 GHz
- Ram: 8GB
- GPU: Nvidia GTX 980
I'm using one mod, Diplomacy, but I've experimented with it both enabled and disabled and it doesn't affect anything.
Anyone got any idea how to fix this? Or at the very least, does anyone else have this problem?
