Casualty reports option ticks off on its own

I'm playing Floris Evolved (for the first time) and I noticed the casualties weren't showing up. Odd, I thought I had it on. Surprisingly, it was ticked off. I turned it back on and the battle continued on smoothly with my reports, however, after each report, the option is disabled.

It's really annoying to turn it back on during each battle, so anyone got a fix? Thanks.
