I’m a vasal with the Khuzaits and I feel like the AI is not doing me any favors. We were at war with Sturgia and the Aserai at the same time which was a nightmare because everyone was running north and south. Not at war with Sturgia anymore but as soon as we made peace with them Monchug went and declared war with the western empire. I have 15 fiefs and they all border the western empire. So while every place I own is getting attacked Monchug and all the other assholes have been fighting over Shibal Zumr Castle. One side takes it and back and forth so most of the army is over there. And I’m in the same situation over at Onica castle. I own it but they take it and then I take it back. No one is getting anywhere. I want to go on the offensive and take Zeonica but I just don’t have enough people and I don’t think I can get anymore. Any tips for this stalemate? And where do all their troops keep coming from? Let me tell beforehand that I almost always play Native with Diplo mode only.
I've been playing this game for so long, for at least couple thousands of hours, yet there is a thing I simply can't understand at all. What were they thinking when they were designing Khergit Horse Archer branch?
Like seriously, is this a joke? Lancers are already much better than Khergit Veteran Horse Archers in almost every way. They got better horses, better armor, better proficieny, better level and stats. As if all these were not enough, Veteran Horse Archers don't even spawn with bows all the time. To be precise; "About 63.2% of Khergit Veteran Horse Archers have a bow and arrows. About 32.8% of them will have javelins and a melee weapon and a shield, which means they do not have a bow and arrows. About 4% will not have javelins or a bow and arrows." (direct quote from the wiki)
Just why would the fucking trash Veteran Horse Archer require more upgrades? How can it be a tier higher? How is it even worth it to spend more time and money to get a shittier unit? I mean even if you want to use them as unmounted archers, only less than 2/3 of them spawn as archers damn it, just lol.
I did not even mention that Khergit Horse Archer upgrade from Khergit Horseman is not only useless, but in terms of horse quality, they are even worse.
Can someone enlighten me, what exactly is the logic behind this? I mean we are not talking about Huscarls here. It's just the most glasscannon troop with the lowest possible stats in the game. Why is this branch so shitty, yet still so slow and time consuming to fully upgrade? What's the thought process behind it?
Any ideas?
