What should I do here?

I’m a vasal with the Khuzaits and I feel like the AI is not doing me any favors. We were at war with Sturgia and the Aserai at the same time which was a nightmare because everyone was running north and south. Not at war with Sturgia anymore but as soon as we made peace with them Monchug went and declared war with the western empire. I have 15 fiefs and they all border the western empire. So while every place I own is getting attacked Monchug and all the other assholes have been fighting over Shibal Zumr Castle. One side takes it and back and forth so most of the army is over there. And I’m in the same situation over at Onica castle. I own it but they take it and then I take it back. No one is getting anywhere. I want to go on the offensive and take Zeonica but I just don’t have enough people and I don’t think I can get anymore. Any tips for this stalemate? And where do all their troops keep coming from? They keep coming with 1100 troop armies and I keep destroying them, shouldn’t the...

What are your thoughts on ranged units not anticipating movement?

It's always felt weird to me to see ranged troops shoot at the position their target was when the arrow was let go, rather than at the position where they should be given their current direction and speed. I get that it allows the PC to be more powerful by abusing it, and that otherwise it may be harder to go solo without a good shield. And it's not impossible that it was meant to avoid ranged units being too powerful.

But still, it feels weird. When there's a guy running from the battleground, moving in a direction parallel to my archers line, and not of one my 20+ Marksmen manage to hit him, leaving a trail of arrows behind him, it feels like a Looney Tunes cartoon.

What I'd like to see, either in a mod or in BL, would be archer units being able to anticipate more enemy's movement as they gain in tiers. While it'd make sense to me than a braindead skirmisher could hardly shoot a bow without sticking an arrow in their neighbour's butt, I believe higher tier units like archers or marksmen should be able to show some skills.

What do you think of the current mechanic, are you happy with it?
