Why cant they release bannerlord unfinished?

I feel like every game dev now adays releases a game in beta and never actually makes it to 1.0

Ie the forest, other games...

Why can't taleworlds give us the game now in its unfinished state and just add to it as they go?

Mount and blade is a game that is ten years old but still has a dedicated community

that just shows how much the devs put into these games.

I can still go onto an online napoleonic server and play the bagpipes surrounded by 100 other players dueling to the death,

Who says bannerlord wont last just as long?

If the game is unfinished thats fine, but i feel as though they are only hurting themselves by not releasing a beta.
