What should I do here?

I’m a vasal with the Khuzaits and I feel like the AI is not doing me any favors. We were at war with Sturgia and the Aserai at the same time which was a nightmare because everyone was running north and south. Not at war with Sturgia anymore but as soon as we made peace with them Monchug went and declared war with the western empire. I have 15 fiefs and they all border the western empire. So while every place I own is getting attacked Monchug and all the other assholes have been fighting over Shibal Zumr Castle. One side takes it and back and forth so most of the army is over there. And I’m in the same situation over at Onica castle. I own it but they take it and then I take it back. No one is getting anywhere. I want to go on the offensive and take Zeonica but I just don’t have enough people and I don’t think I can get anymore. Any tips for this stalemate? And where do all their troops keep coming from? Composing a Byzantine army.

Hi! So I got this idea that I want to roleplay a bit, and it would be cool to go Byzantine (i.e the whole restore the Empire mentality, going balls out on Sarranids and perhaps Khergits as well) Really something like Belisarius, but in Caldaria (yes, I am a history buff, but you should look him up, he’s cool)

I would want to do my stuff as faithfully as possible (which is quite low probably, but hey, it’s all for fun), so I would want to ask you a couple of questions.

1) Which units should I try and get to my army to have a Byzantine army composition of the game’s timeframe nailed as close to correct as possible (and how much of each). I am thinking Nord Huscarls for the Varangian guard, perhaps Mamluks for the Cataprachts etc.

2) Where to start and who to serve in the beginning to make getting this army easier?

Thanks if you can answer, I know I might be asking a lot and this might be quite a weird request, but it would help a lot:)

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that?
