I know there is (was?) a mod there you could have like a personal guard of 10 units in every battle. But is there any working mod out there that fix so you can have that, but also decide on your own what units shall be in it? Personally I would like it if playing as a fulltime bandit or highwayman. Setting up ambushes, harassing villages, demanding tolls from caravans.
In Breytenwalda it is almost possible, but the ambushes don't feel like ambushes. I would love to see maps where the enemy isn't aware of you presence and drives down a road and your men wait in the surrounding woods until you give the order to attack.
I don't know if that is even possible, but it would be so fun playing some kind of Robin Hood character.
