STUCK AT BEGINING OF WARSAILS

I escorted the merchants and fought off two ships in a sea battle . I'm on the Scourge of the Seas quest. It tells me to talk to Gunnar via a golden exclamation point. I go to talk to him and he says thst he is waiting on new." What do I do now? It seems as though there are no obvious prompts and the quest still exists. I need help specifically with advancing this quest...I can't believe I am stuck this early in the game. If anyone has any advice, I'm really desperate. Any favorite RP stories from Warband?

I’m looking for some inspiration since I mainly play the game to roleplay stories out. Here’s the list of what I’ve done prior:

-A knight who’s chaotic good and successfully leads a rebellion against Swadia. He then becomes a king and the power corrupts him. My character spent the rest of the game roaming around killing farmers, yoinking territory from other factions, and having a collection of vassals he kept in his super prison.

-A female bandit that led an army of sword sisters. Nords ended up getting pissed that she was harassing their villagers, so she slaughtered them and kept their land to rule over for the shiggles

-A king who had spread the rule of Calradia between himself and 2 vessels. Basically they all took up each corner of the map. My guy had Swadia and Rhodok, Artimenner had Sarranid and the Khergit Land, Nizar had the Vaegir and Nordish lands.

If any of you have stories, feel free to leave them.

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that?
