STUCK AT BEGINING OF WARSAILS

I escorted the merchants and fought off two ships in a sea battle . I'm on the Scourge of the Seas quest. It tells me to talk to Gunnar via a golden exclamation point. I go to talk to him and he says thst he is waiting on new." What do I do now? It seems as though there are no obvious prompts and the quest still exists. I need help specifically with advancing this quest...I can't believe I am stuck this early in the game. If anyone has any advice, I'm really desperate. Gekokujo really is amazing.

For those unaware, Gekokujo is a mod that transforms the setting of Mount and Blade to Feudal Japan. The gameplay itself isn't actually changed much. The biggest difference between it and Warband are the lack of shields and crossbows and the addition of guns to the game. While the gameplay isn't changed a lot, IMO that is one of the strongest parts of the mod, as its great just to get a breath of fresh air for Warband with the new japanese Samurai aesthetic, and the music is absolutely fantastic. You shouldn't sleep on the mod, definitely check it out.

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that?
