Hear now, gentlelords, the exploits of the noble Knights of the Dawn. Led by their courageous captain, the stalwart paragons of justice were patrolling Pendor, hoping to gain renown and honour by vanquishing evil, for in Pendor there are many who deserve the fire of justice. After a grueling battle against the false king of Ravenstern and his base and greedy mercenary accompaniment, the Knights of the Dawn rested for a time in the city.
Yet their rest was marred, for they heard rumors that near to Marleons was a large peasant uprising. These men had overthrown their lords and were under the command of vile bandits. Knowing the grave danger they posed to Pendor lest their evil ways be checked, the bold captain of the Knights of the Dawn decided that these peasants would serve as an example of the penalties of such wickedness. So too Marleons the knights rode.
Though their numbers were slightly lessened, the courageous knights did not falter, but rather charged straight at their enemies. Indeed, the commander himself, along with his trusty companions, charged ahead to be first into the fray. With impressive horsemanship and archery, they were able to kill two hundred before the rest of the Knights of the Dawn arrived. Yet for all their skill they were still gravely outnumbered, for the peasant army had a thousand men against yet a hundred of the knights of Astrea.
But their hearts did not fail them. The Knights of Dawn fought through the hordes of peasants, slaughter them as fast as they came. Their armor was soaked red, and their white steeds became crimson. Yet in the end, having lost a mere six of their comrades, the Knights of the Dawn stood triumphant once again against the evil men that plague Pendor.
So, lest you think that your evil can continue unchecked, remember that the Knights of the Dawn and their gallant captain will find you, and no army can keep you safe from them.
