When I join a warband multiplayer server, I usually encounter at least one of these issues:
-Racists, anti semitics and trolls in the chat.
-grumpy people yelling at their own teammates, usually accompanied with swears and slurs. Sometimes in battle servers you can see them killing teammates
-Good players that like to bully the lower skilled players and constantly harassing them in chat for not being able to play on their skill level
-People that vote kick archers and cavalry players for killing them too many times.
As for right now, there are some ways to accomodate these problems in warband.
-Using the mute button to ignore the trolls and angry people. This should work for the most part, however, this will be a problem later when:
-Vote kicking. Most of the time people abuse this feature to kick people just because they are either:
(playing a class they don't like)
(having a username they don't like)
And since you can't see people that you muted, its going to be hard to argue your point of view so you have to pray that the rest of the server has a heart to not listen to the trolls.
-Server admins. Most of the admins I see actually do a good job of keeping the trolls at bay and the chat at clean levels of banter. However, when they are not online, the trolls come out of hiding.
The Calradic Campaigns are honestly a life saver, and I remember seeing the admins mute someone for flaming the chat before it got toxic, but its a shame its only a monthly event.
This is why, as a the bad player you see going often 4-12 trying to have fun, have thought of some ideas to make the game a better place to nurse healthy competition and fun.
So I thought of some solutions
-Remove teamkillingIm not even sure why it exists.
-Remove vote kicking. Usually this is reserved for gamethrowers and hackers, but it's very hard to help the enemy team in this game, and hackers are not even that big of a problem
-Hire full time moderators that police servers issuing warnings and bans if they need to to reduce the levels of toxicity ingame.
-Karma system. If you are constantly doing bad things and making the game a more toxic place to play for new players, they get docked points, and if it goes way too low, they can't play multiplayer at all, and must wait out their bans until they learn their lesson and hopefully stop trolling games.
