How to become gang leader in 1860 mod?

So basically I joined lawmen gang as hired gun and overtime I imprisoned every leader of our gang. (Even leader)

The game writes that I'm a notable figure, but how to become a leader?

Other gangs disappear when I enslave their leaders tho.
