Everybody manages to "win" the game

I mean I play it mainly as Role play, so winning it is not my goal, but I definitely want to be successful. Usually, getting first city is pretty hard, because having less than 200 troops, building siege camp, fending off enemy lords roaming around my siege camp requires big heap of luck. Then expanding the kingdom without clans is hard, even with two or three it gets hard against fully established kingdoms. However, weekly I see many posts about finished game, great strategic win, destroying whole kingdoms singlehandedly.... I am by no means beginner, having 2K+ hours in Warband (partially napoleonic wars as regiment member, but still many hours in Floris, Pendor and so on), 700+ hours in Bannerlord. I use Diplomacy, RBM so it is harder, but still... submitted by /u/Top_Leopard_9528 [link] [comments]

(Pendor) Amazed at this mod

(scene fades in to wall of text)

so, first of all while i know this mod can be a little off putting at first with its wall of text-dialogue and strangely named fantasy style places and people, wow. I'm amazed at the extra effort that was put in, lots of 'elbow grease'

in my current play through i decided 'hey let's merc for ravenstern first'

That was a mistake. we got our shafts handed to us, the jarls came. they all have 200 men army (ridiculous amounts of renown) so the most i can handle by myself is one stack that size IF the terrain is in my favor, and all the troops are like t6

is ravenstern the vaegir equivalent? cause when i played as a vaegir the Marshall was more like a hand that pushed the meat into the grinder rather than a commander. it seems that the ravenstern are doing just the same. since then, ive ended my merc campaign with them (lasted like 4 months until we lost every city but pointsbruk whick was being savaged by jatu and mystmountain savages.) currently with Sarleon, but still in love with the ravenstern units, although there faction is almost decimated.

if you haven't tried this mod, try it. it makes me feel things in places.

Prophecy of Pendor - Early Game Guide

I love PoP and think it's the best thing since Sliced Person, but the early game is bloody brutal, especially if you're used to kicking ass and taking names in M&B vanilla. So I wanted to write an early game guide to share my experience and hopefully help someone else get into the mod without as much agony as I (and many others) experienced. Character Creation - Questions When you start character creation, the game hits you with a bunch of background story questions. My advice is to answer these however you like, building the backstory for your character that interests you and helps get you into the story. However , these questions have serious impacts on the game, most critically whether you can create Knights of the Griffon chapters with just money, and something called the Rumor Interval which sounds irrelevant but is the most important thing ever . For a deep read on the subject see the wiki https://pop3.fandom.com/wiki/Character_Creation Or for a quick "Just...

TaleWorlds Forums

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that? It was a useless topic to discuss, but I kept coming back because I was so hyped about the game and was hoping for more information about it.
