Why I Still Love Bannerlord Despite Its Flaws Hello everyone I've been thinking about this for a while, and I wanted to share it with anyone who enjoys Bannerlord, or wants to enjoy it more. If you're already having fun throughout the entire game, that's great. This post probably isn't aimed at you. But if you've ever felt that Bannerlord has incredible potential yet somehow loses its magic after the early game, maybe this perspective will help. I completely understand the criticism the game receives. Bannerlord could have been so much more. The quests become repetitive, diplomacy lacks depth, and many of its mechanics never evolve as much as they could. The early game is exciting, the mid game starts to slow down and the late game often turns into a grind. I agree with all of that. And yet... I still enjoy every stage of the game. Hope this post isn't a violation of the rules... So I've been loving the hell out of Warband on PS4. It was exactly what I've been looking for for a while now. Sadly these type games are in short supply on console, but I have a shortlist of "similar" games that I'm considering trying next (not that I'm done with Warband by a long shot). I know nothing is quite like Warband, but if any of you have suggestions for me or opinions on the following I would welcome them. I've stopped relying so much on Metacritic since I feel the Warband score is unfairly low (both user and critic score!). I've considered getting a gaming PC just to play the add-ons and mods for Warband and check out a few other titles like Total War, but honestly that's not likely any time soon, so just PS4 for now.
