Is there a mod that changes the formation system to the one from Warband?

In Warband you would allocate troops to formations on your party screen. You could put individual troops in formation 1,2, 3 etc. In bannerlord it feels cumbersome having to do it in the battle deployment screen using the sliders. Is there a way to change this? submitted by /u/FingersToKeyboard [link] [comments]

Calradic Campaign #50 - The 11th hour

The Jarl sat amid the dun smoke of the fire as the the three women rasped out fate;   All shall fight and fell each-other, And sisters' sons shall kinship stain; Hard is the world, with great disorder. Axe-time, sword-time, shields are shattered, Wind-age, wolf-age, ere the world falls. Dark grows the sun, and in time yet soon comes mighty storms: would you know yet more?   At dawn, they burned their camps, and marched to war. Meta Welcome to 4th anniversary of the CC and the last Calradic Campaign event for Warband, #50! Four years ago, we started this event on someone elses teamspeak channel and a server held together by good will and duct tape. Thanks to the generous volunteering of all our team, past and present, we have been able to run such outstanding events befitting this grand old game. This upcoming Saturday, see everyone join the fray! In the East, Khergits have regicide on their mind (still) - the new Khan is eager to make his name in the blood of the S

Be prepared for spiteful reviews. *If* you enjoy the EA I recommend you support it with a good review. A MB statement regarding the community and EA.

I don’t know if everyone here knows this, but the steam forums and comments regarding this game are quite cancerous. Many will give the game a negative review out of sheer spite due to the wait. Many will ignore the EA label and blast the game regardless. If you don’t enjoy the EA and have major concerns, then I can respect a negative review. Especially if the EA is literally unplayable and TW lays an egg. But, many reviews will be done out of sheer hate. As a community I think this subreddit and the TW forums are quite healthy, fair, and supportive of the MB franchise. We all want the game to succeed. I think it is important that if you enjoy the EA, that you should take 5-10 minutes to give the game a good review on Steam, and Metacritic and so on. This should be a community measure to combat toxic reviews and the trolls. We should judge the EA on its merits. Also TW, if the EA is literally a buggy and unplayable mess equivalent to Fallout 76, then you will lose a lot of good fa

A game feature that I have just learned... (950hours) I bet most of you don't know it, too.

You know when you attack a bandit hideout, the game just spawns 5-6 soldiers from your party randomly with you? It's actually not random. The game chooses soldiers from the top of the list on your "party" page. We have buttons to move soldiers up and down in the party list, right? The ones on the top will be spawned, so you should put your best soldiers to the top of the party list. If all you knew this, I'm gonna be ashamed. *Didn't try it on Native though, i just found out about this in PoP. Submitted February 28, 2020 at 02:21AM by tinyspeckinspace https://ift.tt/2T70ves

Mods ideas you’re hoping for?

I would really love to see a WW1 era mod set throughout Russia, Germany, Austria and France. There was a heap of turmoil going on everywhere which would be a perfect set up for multiple factions and sub factions like rebels and revolutionaries. And bolt action Rifles, some heavy MGs, oooooh! What do you guys hope for? Submitted February 27, 2020 at 07:26PM by LeChowed https://ift.tt/2w8IDaa

You can play the game for literally years and still won't know every feature

So I, a veteran playing singleplayer since like 2012 or 2013, just recently discovered that you can select certain unit types by selecting unnamed unit type. What was the feature you discovered after hundreds of hours and you wish you discovered earlier? Submitted February 27, 2020 at 06:06PM by alcedo_b https://ift.tt/386Xijk

King Graveth won't stop giving me cities and it's ruining my life

So I love the Rhodoks. Freedom, sheep, and high-velocity projectiles are my jam. Plus, if you join them, you don't have to besiege them. However, I have one big problem with those chunky board-shield carrying swiss-welsh-italian lads. King Graveth. The Big Gravy. Daddy G. That grumpy old bastard loves me so much and hates everyone else. A few months after I joined and took Uxhal in all-you-can fief buffet known as Swadia, he threw a tantrum and kicked out almost everyone who wasn't me, my father-in-law Count Reland and a few minor nobodies. This made battles pretty tough but both Reland and the G-Man had so much land they were running round with stacks of 400 each. Meanwhile, I've managed to get my companions Training so high my crew turned into a high-speed Sergeant + Sharpshooter processing facility. I can run around my buddied-up villages of hill-camping wool-gatherers and in a few days I've got a full company of fully upgraded bolt-spammers and shield-wallers. Th

Will Their Be Naval combat/travel in Bannerlord?

Bannerlord seems to contain a lot of features which the devs played around with in Viking Conquest, which makes me wonder whether or not naval combat or warfare will be a thing in bannerlord. I understand the new map doesn't necessitate naval travel as much as Viking Conquest's map did, however there is Lake Parasos (the Southern lake) which is dotted by many coastal villages and forts, meaning the option of naval travel would have a fairly big impact on the game strategically wise Submitted February 26, 2020 at 10:56AM by McCheeseBlower69 https://ift.tt/2I0dwA2

Official Details about Early Access including what will be included/missing.

Why Early Access? “Early access is something that we are very familiar with: our first title, Mount & Blade, helped to pioneer this method of release back in 2005. By working alongside our community we were able to deliver a unique gaming experience that players still enjoy to this day. These past experiences have taught us that it is vital to bring players in to help us iron out any issues and refine the game by utilizing feedback to bring it to the level that both our community and we expect. We are hoping to run a productive and efficient early access for M&B Bannerlord as well. However, due to the nature and scale of game that we have envisioned, there may be various problems or missing features and content during the course of early access. Here are a few aspects you may need to know : Unique Maps for Towns, Castles and Village: Although we plan to create unique maps for every town and castle in the game, it is a rather arduous process to create that many well designe

A thought on Bannerlord Graphics

I have been seeing a lot of posts and comments on either here or other subreddits about how the graphics look massively dated and old. I honestly think the graphics look good and I don't understand how they look out-dated? The type of game this is you cannot expect realistic looking graphics, especially with the unit sizes. The beta looks nice and im honestly think it looks like a good game. Whats everyone elses opinion on the graphics? Submitted February 20, 2020 at 06:57AM by The_Quial https://ift.tt/3bObalH

For Bannerlord's EA, let's remember what Lord Armagan said on Gamescom 2019.

"Bannerlord's EA won't be like other games. If we had even pushed bit more, we could had announced the game as a finished product, but this time we would have needed to cut many features we would have added to the game or rushed many other things to release the game quickly. For us to work more productively, EA will let us work on things we want more freely, so we can have more care on the new features we want to add as using our time more productive. In the end, it will also benefit the players aswell. Majorly it will feel like a full game rather than a beta, we will have to give our extra effort to keep the game stabilized." Those were the things from a Turkish interview in Gamescom 2019. He said many other things, but these were the major important things to me and I combined his sentences here in a summary. No any extra things he didn't say. Even the full games like Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Battlefield V have shown how much a game can be broken when they wer

Bannerlord Early Access Info

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord will be released in Early Access on 31st March 2020. The game will be available for purchase through Steam, Epic Games Store, and TaleWorlds website, for $49.99/€49.99/£39.99. Submitted February 19, 2020 at 05:39PM by Callum_TaleWorlds https://ift.tt/38Gza8c

What really ruins vanilla Warband.

Somewhere around 300-400 days into a vanilla play-through, Lords will start being indicted for treason. It starts slowly but can quickly get out of hand if one faction becomes too large too quickly. I think what causes this is lords grumbling about not being given lands and also the lords building animosity with Kings by constantly raiding villages. Around 500-600 or so days in, some factions may start to fall apart, with the kings indicting more and more lords and taking the majority of lands for themselves. The indicted lords will then begin to flip-flop from faction to faction, because the kings don't trust them, and the lords hate the kings because the kings don't give them lands. By the 1000 day count, many lords may have left the realm entirely, because they hate the kings and the kings hate them. The remaining lords routinely change sides and don't own any lands, instead the kings claim nearly everything for themselves. This results in the lords not having lands t

Will we get realistic arrow physics on horseback?

Just like the title, in Warband it always buggered me that velocity of the player didn't add up to velocity of the arrow. In real life while shooting on horseback to the side you don't aim at the target, you aim before it (just like on the "picture" https://imgur.com/VF2mRBI ). And also for example, while riding beside an enemy, you don't aim in front of him, you aim at him (if he is going with the same direction and speed) I wondered why it wasn't a feature in Warband, it felt very weird at the beginning to aim. Did everyone noticed that or was it just me? P.S. Paint masterrace Submitted February 17, 2020 at 07:59AM by Dov47 https://ift.tt/2vJiwWN

Mod Night - Red vs. Blue

Humberto desperately crawled through and blood making his way towards the small barricade. Salvation was so close. Rockets exploded in the air and bullets whizzed by creating the least enjoyable firework show he had ever seen. At the barricade his commander, Carlos, knelt with his men gathered around him. Humberto could not hear the passionate speech he was giving, but knew that Carlos meant to charge them across the bridge. He would not go, he told himself. The bridge was death and a hundreds of his screaming, treasonous countrymen guarded the other side. To charge would be death. Yet Carlos got up to his feet. Emboldened by the words he spoke. Humberto quickened his crawl so that he could hear what fired up his commander so. Even the terrified men around him seemed to be inspired as their commander stood without fear. Finally Humberto was close enough. "We are here to stop the reach of Hi--," Carlos' words were cut off in a hail of bullets. The commander fell to th

King of Essos, King on the Iron Throne

Playing Awoiaf mod. Conquered all of Essos with my 27 companions, took King's Landing and started sending fools to the Wall. My entire army is about 20k strong, mostly made up of hiring Broken Men. All is going well, the Wildlings are defeated, theur lands conquered by the Night's Watch, most of their lords are in the Watch. Got Shireen Baratheon to marry me and put a baby in her. (She's 6 in the game wtf) After the Red Wedding I wanted to speed time up so I used the Infinite Camp cheat. A former Magister apparently deserted the Night's Watch and decided it would be a good idea to raid one of my villages with his 400 strong army. Bad form, buddy. Deserters get executed. Apparently following the law in Westeros is a bad idea. My relation with King's Landing is a whooping -73 and everyone rebelled against me except Roose Bolton. I could only make peace with Tywin Lannister, everyone else thinks it's not in their interest to make peace with me. Joffrey sits

Greatest Faction Ever

What’s the best faction in Warband, and why is it the Nords? Just came off a super depressing attempt at playing through as the Swadians (kept getting caught by powerful lords every time I was starting to get my feet back under me), so I decided to start a new play through as the Nords, again. So much better. For context, I try to even use the same equipment as my troops in each play through. Submitted February 16, 2020 at 11:10PM by Novadar https://ift.tt/38z4i9v

Will Napoleonic wars community be affected by the release of Bannerlord?

Napoleonic Wars is honestly my favorite video game of all time. I can always come back to it. There’s always enough people playing for it to be fun, especially on weekends. I’ve been worried that Bannerlord might kill the Napoleonic Wars community, but I can’t tell if I’m just being paranoid. My dream is that they make a new, Napoleonic Wars DLC for Bannerlord. I don’t think it’ll happen though. Submitted February 16, 2020 at 09:21AM by TheWhitestOrca https://ift.tt/3218Umk

This may sound like heresy, but anybody planning on not playing until full release?

I don't really feel like paying to be a tester, playing an unfinished game with bugs and lacking content. I know a lot of content will be in but pretty much all late game stuff afaik will be out. The idea of putting hours into a game which will probably be reset / deleted is not fun. I hate unpolished stuff. I know a lot of people are excited for early access, was just wondering if anybody else is a bit disappointed? Please don't downvote if you disagree! Just looking to have some discussion because none of my friends play lol. Submitted February 15, 2020 at 01:53PM by SquareBlanketsSuck https://ift.tt/38vIJHd

New player here.

Hey guys, I’m really new to M&B, Is there anybody that got a quickstart guide on how to really play the game. I’ve learnt a bit, I just still don’t understand how factions, relations and honour works yet, and also how to increase party capacity, Submitted February 15, 2020 at 04:46AM by Need_more_memez2 https://ift.tt/2Hnnw6j

Flying Mounts in Bannerlord Mods

Flying mounts in Bannerlord has always been a very interesting topic that I've wanted to talk about for awhile. Knowing that custom mounts no longer need to be rigged to a horse skeleton, does anyone think flying mounts will be doable and if so, how doable? Or are the logistics of it too complex? Bannerlord feature list

With early access drawing ever closer I´m seeing some people confused with the features of Bannerlord. Because of this, I thought it could be helpful to those people to compile a list of known features that will either be included in early access or added later. Feel free to contribute if you see some missing. Here are 20 features I know of (and can remember) in no particular order. Six unique factions. The Khuzait Khanate - Based on the Mongols The Sturgians - Based on the Kievan Rus The Empire - Based on the Byzantine Empire The Aserai - Based on various pre-Islamic Arab tribes The Battanians - Based on Celts and Picts The Vlandians - Based on the Normans Everyone can die whether it be from aging, being killed in combat or being executed (Kings, lords, and companions). This feature can be turned off if the player doesn´t want it. You can have children that you will play as when your character dies. Massively improved sieges (Siege weapons, better AI and multiple stages

Easiest way to start a Rebellion? And how to keep it going afterward

So I'm over 100 days in to a game where I have joined the Sarranids. I have amassed a rather large army and rubbed elbows with a fair amount of the nobility (albeit some of them ran off and joined another faction) my honour is still pretty high and I'm ensuring that my faction remain at constant war with the Khergits. I now have a couple of keeps and some towns and am getting ready to rebel, but I'm not sure how to go about doing it properly. I know I'm supposed to take a keep by myself and then when it isn't awarded to me I can choose to rebel, however, Sultan Hakim keeps being fair and awarding them to me for being the one who captures them (the jerk). What's the best way to ensure that he doesn't award the next keep I take when I capture it? Tarnish my reputation with him? Also, once I do start my rebellion, what's the best first step? Is there a way to take some of the Lords of the Sarranids with me? Also, if the Sarranids are at war with the Kher

Will Warband remain relevant?

How do you think, will Warband remain relevant and still be played once Bannerlord fully comes out? There is a rather huge gap between those two games and probably many people's PCs (including mine) simply will be too weak for Bannerlord. Also, is there any chance that a Bannerlord mod will be created for Warband? Submitted February 11, 2020 at 08:14AM by Greg_the_Bassist https://ift.tt/39rKDsq

CC#49 Recap - Crossing the Lyenn

The Rhodok Renaissance seems to have ended before it could begin. Swadian troops, for the first time in living memory, have secured a foothold south of the Lyenn. From Maras Castle, the Swadians will wreak havoc throughout the Rhodok highlands. Swadia's chivalry bought the dying kingdom a badly needed morale victory, but Swadia's nobility finds the situation less cheery. The victory came far short of their hopes. The Rhodoks still hold Yalen. With Swadia direly short of men, land and resources they will have a hard time pushing their advantage. The Rhodoks, on the other hand, are now pinned down by the loss of Maras Castle. The Lyenn barrier has fallen, and the hounds of hell are unleashed. Rumors speak of civil war in both realms. This bodes ill for all, as the Vaegir king looms threateningly. Over half of the combined lands of the Rhodoks and Swadians have fallen into their power. The hope of a true united front against the Vaegirs slips further and further away from grasp

For those who are bored of the multiplayer in Bannerlord (like me) I would like to recommend the first "mod" to Bannerlord

It is called the battle test mod, in this mod you can create a custom battle with soldiers of your choice. Do you think color will be a problem in Bannerlord?

I just watched a video about 500 archers vs. 500 spearmen and I could barely tell the difference between them once they got into melee. Warband did a very good job of giving each faction distinct coloured armor, so you were never confused. I'm wondering if Bannerlord trying to be a bit more "realistic" has toned down the colours? I don't have a beta key, so I can't say so myself. Anyone in the Beta agree or disagree that units are hard to distinguish sometimes? Should TaleWorlds up the colour in Bannerlord? The Bells - Calradic Campaign #49

The defence of Suno collapsed, and along with it, Swadian Royal Authority The beleaguered King stared into the middle distance. The Swadian Crown lands, once the most serene and temperate fields and forests in Calradia, was choking on an air of quiet death. Doom-mongers lingered through the refugee camps that littered the countryside, preaching of the nearing end of days. Forest bandits, broken men, the desperate and the destitute all found their next meal in murder, robbery and extortion. Vaegir woodsmen encroached westward through the forests, poaching Swadian game - and Swadian scouts - to pass the winter doldrums. In such dire times, nobles took to shouting what was once not dared whispered. Treasonous talk and grim prognoses strained the already dire morale of Swadian chivalry. And who could blame them? The King thought to himself, When there is little left that could stop them? He looked across the bay of Praven. The loss of Uxkhal was a dreadful blow, but victory over the No
