Mods with only one Kingdom

I know the whole point of MnB is the chaos and politics of different kingdoms, BUT i was wondering if there are any mods with only one major kingdom or just 2 for a rebellion type playthrough. I hope Captain mode is in Bannerlord single-player in a system similar to Diplomacy's mercenary system. I want to be able to enroll in an army as a private, get promoted, control a small retinue in battle, control a large retinue, and then become an independent lord.

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that?
