Monchug was feeling generous today.

I'm playing with some mods that heavily restrict recruitment, so my army is almost entirely bandits and mercenaries. On land, Monchug's army would destroy mine, but this isn't a land battle and he gifted me several amazing prizes. The only way this could've been better is if Monchug died instead of his companion. submitted by /u/Glorf_Warlock [link] [comments]

[1257AD] Friendly archers refuse to shoot during sieges

Here's the thing,

I join an army as a foot soldier (The Freelancer mod) and whenever we're attacking a castle, all the archers and crossbowman for some reason refuse to fire their weapons (while enemies pepper us with javelins and arrows just fine) and a big group of our attacking army is then stupidly killed.

I found out somewhere that apparently during sieges they all get a "Hold Fire" command automatically and it's fixable if I tell them to "Fire At Will".

However, that doesn't work when I am just an ordinary recruited footman, since commands are not working in that case (believe me, I tried)

I have tried literally like 3 different versions of 1257AD and they all have this problem.

  • The official 1.13 Angry Peasant edition The 1.13 repolished

  • version on the TaleWorlds forum The modded version from the

  • 4chan pastebin (that adds stuff like overstabbing, upstab etc.)

Any idea how to force the friendly archers to shoot during sieges? Or at least unlock the commands so that they work even when I am not the leader? Thanks

Back when Bannerlord was announced, I vaguely remember that, in the announcement thread, people were discussing the choice of the title "Bannerlord." Does anyone else remember that? It was a useless topic to discuss, but I kept coming back because I was so hyped about the game and was hoping for more information about it.
