The Churning of War - Calradic Campaign #18

The delicate balance of Calradia is in peril.

Recent political turmoil in the Kingdom of Nords over the constant change of leadership, inability to conquer new lands, and loss of their colony has spilled into diplomacy.

A revolution is far from fantasy at this point, as the villages begin forming their own militias. All the while legendary warriors arriving from Jumne, rallying the people even more.

The generals of the Nordic army know they must strike, and strike true, as they have one last chance to avoid another civil war. They have just the perfect target in mind: Praven.

Though the old city is heavily fortified, the Nords believe they will be able to triumph. The villages surrounding Praven have been sacked, any caravans to the city have been pillaged, and any patrols sent out have gone missing.

Harlaus would most likely have not noticed this chaos, as he was coincidentally feasting inside Praven. Fortunately for the Nordic army, their bait worked, as after the Swadian king heard about the loss of a... certain commodity, he furiously gathered his lords to sally out to meet the Nord army.

Most battles in Calradia are mere skirmishes, and are quickly forgiven as new enemies take the place of old. This conflict risks turning into a full out war between the two factions.

In Meta Terms

Welcome to the 18th Calradic Campaign! This event will see the mighty Nord Horde clashing with the Swadian host at the heart of Swadia's trade: Praven. Should the Swadians purge the vikings from their nigh-impregnable castle, they will charge forward and overrun the feeble garrison at Tihr. Should the Nords triumph, they will take control of Praven.

This event will be running the Conquest gamemode. Here is the map for reference.

  • The red areas on the map are flag locations. Each flag gives points to whichever faction holds it. More flags held means more points earned
  • The first team to reach the score limit wins the round
  • The event will be best of 5
  • There will be no siege. The winner of conquest takes the opposing factions castle. Event time will remain consistent with previous entries.

/u/KingHarlausOfficial will be leading the Swadians and /u/TimLaurent will be leading the Nords. If one of them cannot attend, a marshal will be appointed.

To join the event, just join the server! There are no sign-ups required, and while it is recommended to join voice chat for bants and vague tactics, it isn't required.

  • When: Saturday, July 8th, 4:00PM EDT

Server Info

Conquest returns to the Calradic Campaign!

If you've been following the CC for quite a while, you may remember the battle for Dhirim that used the Conquest gamemode. It went great, everyone loved it... and we never did it again, until now. Conquest will not become the default gamemode for the Campaign, but will be used every once in a while for key events and general variety.

Donating to the Calradic Campaign

The Calradic Campaign server is our own, and we run it ourselves on a donation basis as we have for over a year. We now have a Patreon that you can put in a monthy or one time amount to contribute. There are multiple reward tiers with more coming, and with a larger pool of money we can expand our community events as well as preparing for the expected high server costs of Bannerlord (should it ever come out).

Optimal weapons in Smithing (Forging): a second, deeper (?), look - Blades/Heads + Guards/Banners and Accessories. Bit of a letdown

Hello everyone. It’s been one month since part 1 was released (This one https://www.reddit.com/r/Bannerlord/comments/12yqhq5/optimal_weapons_in_smithing_forging_a_first_look/ ).I’m here posting again to go forwards in the established direction from part 1.There will be a TL;DR section at the end. A little recap is in order: last time we crafted every single possible weapon in Bannerlord, but ignoring guards, pommels, grips, accessories (From now on, "Parts 2/3/4")... and only switched between different blades/heads ("Parts 1"), which I expected to determine the overall worth of the item much more than the other parts (This proved to be the case, according to today's data).Furthermore, there were no changes in size at all, so all components were crafted only in standard size. Again, I've updated the Google drive folder I've been using up until now. It contains a series of screenshots detailing the weapon's name (Which in turn is a combination of the...

Help with the Subreddit's new Guide! Guide is in the Description and Link in the Comments⬇️

So I got the go-ahead to write a guide for the Mods to post and pin on top of the sub and while my 3000+ hours of Bannerlord and wide experience with speedrunning this quest covers a lot, I am sure that I might have missed some neat tips and tricks. Please also tell if there if something that needs closer clarification with more text or an image. The Bannerlord's Guide to Unite the Empire Written by Octavian_Exumbra So you want to unite the Calradian Empire? Well, my child, this is no simple matter. Many great rulers have attempted to Unite the quarrelling descendants of Calradios the Great under one cause and most have failed, so steel yourself great warrior for today you... I'm just messing with you. It's actually a fairly simple process, so let's just dive right into it. New Campaign: Starting off, we're picking Empire culture. When it comes to skills, you have more liberty, but if we want to do this as effectively as possible then we're mainly focusi...
