I'm interested in picking up Fire and Sword because the guns kind of interest me, is it worth it?

I mostly want the same sort of experience as base Warband, but just with some pistols and muskets and stuff. I'm not hugely into the historical setting and what-not, I mostly just want to try using the guns and stuff. Would you say its worth picking up, or should I give it a pass? Are there better Warband mods for having firearms be added?
